The City of Rochester NY is deeply Democratic. The Republicans are in the suburbs. (I was born & raised in a Roch. NY suburb.)
The shame of the area is Representative Louise Slaughter. Another example of a local gov’t politician who seems to do a good job in local gov’t when they can’t screw up bigtime (nationally), but once elected nationally, it’s very hard to get incumbent out. And a woman politician is less prone to the social missteps while in office.
