1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/4 tsp. salt
Melt butter in small saucepan over medium heat.
Once butter is melted, add sugar and salt and mix together.
Let the mixture “do its thing”, bubbling up, stir occasionally.
When the mixture starts to change into a rich dark caramel color, take off heat and spread over popcorn.
Toss popcorn immediately after pouring caramel on top.
