The BBC Trust has commanded a 'training program' for BBC journalists and editors so they won't give undue attention to marginal opinion. I love the article's sentence about giving too much air-time to critics of non-contentious issues. How is an issue deemed non-contentious? Well, I guess if no one is speaking up against it, QED. In Orwell's homeland, the BBC directs training against providing voice to 'marginal' opinion. #headdesk This is based against 'climate change deniers' but no doubt will be expanded to UKIPs Nigel Farage and others.
Politico also has a column referring to BBC 'training'. http://www.politico.com/blogs/media/2014/07/ignore-the-climate-change-deniers-191626.html
Fun column by Mollie Hemingway on media ignorance. http://thefederalist.com/2014/07/09/media-ignorance-becoming-serious-problem/
Many trying to get noticed in media today must have schlepped through journalism school as a fall back and then by clinging to leftist coat tails.
