Establishment Republican idiocy on parade

Rep. Don Young, 81, Alaska-R, went to Wasilla High School and proceeded to make himself and by extension Republicans, look as bad as possible. And establishment says that Tea Partiers are not ready for prime time! Although we have to vote for all Republicans including large jerks that need to be retired like this, we can still remember and work to get them out next time. Crush, crush, smash, smash.

And in Democrat behavior news, Rep. Tim Ryan, Ohio-D, holds weekly Meditation Sessions before voting. He calls it the Quiet Time Caucus. He states that Republicans have not yet joined, but he’s hopeful. http://pagesix.com/2014/10/25/meditation-sessions-become-a-hit-in-dysfunctional-congress/?_ga=1.266384070.959048488.1414425442

Sounds like projection to me. Democrats want conservatives to meditate and not say or write anything.

And in Democrat Colorado analysis news; Charles Lane, WaPo editorial page writer (lead editor?), wrote a column about Colorado pot legalization. A couple of items of interest; 45% of marijuana sales is food. State health dept. recommended doing away with food sales because of children consumption by mistake, but the politicians shot that down because of pot users protest. Hey, where are the Dems yelling that decisions should be health based and not political? Also, the recreational (public) pot sales are taxed much more heavily than medicinal pot. So there has been a small increase in medicinal pot use which requires a doctor’s approval but is 40% cheaper (when the price of something is almost 1/2 tax, there’s a problem). CO Dems expected that to decrease thereby giving them more tax money. Lane calls that Regulatory Arbitrage. I don’t agree with that. RA is when corporations do legal dealings to fall under one law in lieu of another. Here, all a person has to do is go to a doctor and claim he/she has pain. It is politically unwanted behavior, but really no legalistic escape clause. I appreciate Lane considering persons to be the same as corporations though.
