Ferguson’s memorial plaque for Michael Brown: “…an afterglow of smiles…”

This is so weird that I'd think it was satire, but it does seem to be a legit report. The sidewalk plaque illustrates Brown wearing a graduation mortarboard. The text: “I would like the memory of Michael Brown to be a happy one. He left an afterglow of smiles when life was done. He leaves an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy and loving times and bright and sunny days. He’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun of happy memories that he left behind when life was done.”

This bit of evil idiocy will probably be lost in a sea of evil idiocies, but I suppose there's some chance that “afterglow of smiles” could become an ironic meme, like “religion of peace”.
