Ford’s Real Hamburgers Closing Because of ADA Lawsuit

So long sizzle; Ford’s Real Hamburgers is finished.

The recession has been hard on the Land Park landmark. “We scrimped and saved and cut down the staff. I’m down to 6 employees. But…” said owner Hank Vereschzagin. But then came the lawsuit. The allegation is that Ford’s is out of compliance with the ADA – the American’s with Disabilities Act.

i grew up just north of land park and biked to get a burger there. sad.
my understanding is here in SoCal, attorneys have made themselves quite a feast on trolling for ADA non-compliance and shaking down owners with lawsuits. it is truly a sad commentary on the spirit versus the letter of the law.

I have yet to hear of the ADA actually doing any good! ADA, OSHA, EPA, Dept of Education, HHS – they all just create and then entrench victimhood! We need to ABOLISH these go-gooder organizations that hinder A LOT more than they help!
