Gabriel Giffords, Poster Child

The testimony today of Gabriel Giffords at The Senate Judiciary Committee on gun violence was highly emotional. However, highly emotional will not solve our gun violence problem. Furthermore the use of Ms. Giffords as some sort of visual aid borders on the obscene.

I feel bad for Giffords tragedy, but by refusing to have security, she indirectly contributed to the death of a child and then preaches to us to “care about the children”.

Midget, she has that non curable disease called Liberalism (stupidity),and lives in an alternate universe where nirvana is possible. No one can break through to her and is blissfully not aware that she is being used as a useful idiot. These poor souls go through life unable to see the dreck and evil all around them.

I’m willing to stipulate that what happened to Giffords was horrific. But I also believe that stripping law abiding citizens of their Second Amendment rights would be equally horrific in ways we cannot begin to imagine. Nothing that has been proposed by the left so far will prevent another Newtown, Aurora, or a shooting at a campaign event. Therefore, until we can have a REAL discussion about REAL remedies for the violence that plagues us, I see no point in further hearings which might be better characterized as theatre! And yes, it’s a shame that Congresswoman Giffords didn’t avail herself of the armed protection that she was entitled to. The outcome of the event might have been far different.

My heart goes out to her for what happened. However, my heart also aches for her for being used as a prop for the remaider of her life. How sad, how very sad.
