Haley Barbour meets with Julian Castro on amnesty

Former Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, who, with his son, Henry, was behind all of the racist attacks on state Senator Chris McDaniel, is now collaborating with Julian Castro http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/09/04/Julian-Castro-A-Radical-Revealed to get amnesty for illegals passed.
A popular, two-term governor, Barbour provided leadership to the state after Hurricane Katrina, but at the end of his second term, he left many people in Mississippi with a bad taste in their mouths after he pardoned a number of convicted felons, one of whom killed his wife on a public street shortly after being released.
McDaniel lost to Barbour-backed Thad Cochran in the Republican primary after the Barbours enlisted the help of Democrats in a runoff for the Senate race on June 24 using robocalls targeted to black voters which painted McDaniel and the Tea Party in general as racists.
McDaniel has challenged the results of the runoff, alleging that many of those Democrats had already voted in the Democrat Primary on June 3. McDaniel received 186,000 to 189,000 votes in the run-off and it remains to be seen how many of those voters will support Cochran in November. The Cochran camp and the state GOP continues to enrage Mississippi conservatives, making it harder and harder to believe they will go back to the Republican Party in November.
The general feeling is that Cochran will win in November, but the state GOP may have underestimated the anger of Mississippi conservatives.
People in Mississippi who support Barbour and Cochran seem to be grossly unaware of their support for amnesty. The only thing that seemed to appeal to them during the primary race is all the federal money Cochran – known as the King of Pork – can bring to the state. Even if they pay attention, they may not even care if Haley Barbour is colluding with radical Democrats. They just want that federal money.
As a Mississippian, that disgusts me.
