How Green is our Boulder

City of Boulder Colo., is pursuing eminent domain to acquire the electrical network for the city. The driver for this action is to increase the amount of 'green energy'used to produce the electricity. Usually municipalization of electrical provider is to improve service reliability and/or cost reliability (if not lower cost). With increase 'green energy' as a reason, the affordability of municipalization could be ignored.

    On the topic of green energy; Daylight Savings Time is now cancelled in Russia effective this October. The Dumas passed law last month and Putin has now signed it. http://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-news-from-elsewhere-28423647

    Initially 73% of Russians supported DST year round and now just 3 years later only 32% do. http://rapsinews.com/legislation_news/20140722/271768768.html

    The Russian people have spoken. However, I still like DST.
