Comcast called off its desired $45 billion merger with TimeWarner recently because the FCC opposed it. Reason for opposition: when Comcast bought NBC/Universal in 2011, a condition was that it take no part in management/oversight of Hulu streaming service. Disney & Fox had a buyer for Hulu in AT&T and DirecTV which are competition for Comcast.
