Muslims found Americas before Columbus says Turkey’s Erdogan

He made the claim during a conference of Latin American Muslim leaders in Istanbul, pointing to a diary entry in which Columbus mentioned a mosque on a hill in Cuba.

However many scholars believe the reference is metaphorical, describing an aspect of the mountain that resembled part of a mosque.

Whatever happened to that Turkish politician with the lyrical name: Ufuk Uras?

This man is obviously insane in the membrane. Everyone knows that Muslims could not find their own cammel with both hands.

Erdogan’s claim is true only in the technical sense. The historical fact is that Columbus began his expedition with five ships, not three. Barbary pirates (Muslims) hijacked two of those ships and raced ahead, crashing them into Manhattan and killing a number of infidel Native Americans as well as themselves. A week later, Columbus reached the Americas and claimed the territory. Older people of course learned these facts in grade school, but the textbook revisions, changed to comply with the mandated Common Core curricula, omit this and other details that would have negative impact on Islamic self-esteem.
