New Visa Expansion to Hurt America

Obama is going to ease requirements of the L-1 visa program. The L-1 visa is supposed to be for reciprocality to exchange business staff between countries. Eg, company with offices/plants in both U.S. and Germany, U.S. can send personnel to Germany to work there and Germany can send its people here to work. From 3 mos. to 7 yrs. But what if company only sends its workers from overseas to here and displaces American workers. Nothing in law to prevent worker displacement. in fact the law encourages it. Because the intent of law is country reciprocity, you are not required to pay prevailing country salary when you 'temporarily transfer' worker to the other country. That's not a problem with two first world countries such as U.S. and Germany, but changes when for example, its U.S. and India. L-1 visa holders are eligible to get a Green card. Get the Green card and stay, American worker loses job, continue sending more overseas workers here. Spouses & children are eligible for L-2 visas with no work restrictions and they can also get Green cards. Obama announced this at hotel where CPAC is held at a conference supported by Google's Eric Schmidt and also by Warren Buffet.
