Reunion of Honor

70th anniversary of the Battle of Iwo Jima. There were 27 Medals of Honor awarded from that battle. The most in U.S. military history. The lone remaining MoH recipient attended the ceremony.

    And now for someone without honor, Rep. Peter King (R), who went on CNN yesterday and said that Ted Cruz was a guy with a big mouth, well at NRO John Fund writes that King also said this; “…Asked if he could support Cruz should he win the GOP nomination, King replied “I hope that day never comes. I will jump off that bridge when we come to it.”…”

    To put that statement in the best possible light, possibly he meant he’ll make that decision when/if it’s nigh. But that isn’t the language that you use with someone of your own Party, implying that GOPe would rather jump off a bridge than support that candidate especially with his preceding statement of, I hope that day never comes. I still wonder who put Christine O’Donnell up to running that, I’m not a witch, ad. King smells similar.

    (As I mentioned in chat last night, the joke about Christie possibly running is; he’ll close that bridge when he comes to it. But King saying this on CNN is monstrously bad. McCain actually had good manners. Course that could be because McCain is going to be challenged.) Crush crush smash smash.
