I know some of you may not care for Ted Cruz much. I know Marco is very attractive and sounds great on the stage. Please watch this 6-minute video of Sen. Jeff Sessions.
It puts the lie to what Rubio has been saying about Cruz. Within the last couple of months, Mark Levin declared that Rubio was using Alinsky-ite tactics against Cruz and purposefully lying about Cruz's immigration record in order to obfuscate the truth about his own record. If Marco had learned his lesson and realized he was wrong about the Gang of 8, why not just say so? Why mischaracterize what Cruz did?
Regarding Rand's comments about Ted at the debate – remember Rand has made nice with his fellow Kentuckian, Mitch McConnell. McConnell has endorsed Rand and McConnell hates Cruz for calling him out on his double-dealing. Rand’s feelings toward Ted may be clouded by his friendship with McConnell.
To me, character is when you stand up for what is right even when you know you'll be mocked and hated for it. I love Carly Fiorina and, except for his immigration record, Rubio is very attractive, but I absolutely trust Ted Cruz to “protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
