The American St. Nick

In December 1944, the U.S. military put on a St. Nicholas celebration for the children of Wiltz, Luxembourg. The Americans and especially the soldier who played St. Nicholas have never been forgotten by the people of Wiltz. Since the town was rebuilt in 1949, it has held an annual St. Nicholas celebration both for the children and to honor the Americans.
