Humorist Scott Adams (the “Dilbert” guy) looks at political events through a persuasion filter. The actual impact on the national economy of the Ford/Carrier negotiation is negligible, but detractors who note this miss the point. What Trump has done is establish some foundational credibility as the nation's new CEO, in terms of the direction he wants to go and in a demonstration of his ability to get results. This is psychologically encouraging for the nation, for reasons both rational and emotional.
