My husband EARNED the meds & care we get with 32 and a half years of service — and not one day off sick!

My Viet Nam veteran husband receives 100% healthcare from the VA. We are grateful & he deserves it since his disabilities are 100% due to the war. However, just because the VA administers several drugs to Vets, does not mean they are safe or appropriate to use. Free is not always better, as we know. Med’s the VA buys are discounted just for them. Deals are made, and drugs are substituted for higher priced drugs. The Vets say the pills they get are death pills. Some certainly are. My husband has refused treatments and drugs. Government waste is out of hand, but don’t think cutting the budget on Vets healthcare is any kind of answer. So this money talk is BULL.

If our tax payers have to pay a high price for drugs, for our military, active or not. Suck it up, and cut the budget elsewhere. It is the active duty Vets that are really getting shafted. Co-pays should not exist for them. Grrr!
