      Ah, yes, but we knew Dan Quayle was stupid, so that silly anecdote becomes a meme for the history books. Likewise we know Obama and his people are the smartest boys and girls in the room, so any evidence to the contrary, no matter how damning and voluminous, gets no traction.

      It’s a disturbing element of human psychology: That even (and especially!) for smart people, the narrative rules the day, and to hell with the hard reality. Our intellect becomes the tool which shields us from unpleasant facts. But Wile E. Coyote can only walk so far over the chasm before gravity reasserts itself.

    Go get them Sarah. It bugs me too to see articles written by so called well educated degreed people (duh). These people coming out of college today are more ignorant than some high school drop outs I knew. Why, because they are not educated, they are indoctrinated.
