It’s about quality of life for some in the U.S. Taxes go up, people will relocate. The current administration has made our country less attractive and less profitable all the way around. It’s a wonder more wealthy people aren’t leaving the U.S. citizenship behind for another country of residence. Stay well and prosper Tina.
I believe Switzerland still issues Rifles/Machine Guns (Thompson) to each adult citizen/household.
My godson is Swiss, as are his parents. I just asked them what the deal is with this and they said that you get a rifle when you are in the military but you have to give it back when you get out. It is legal for them to buy one when they get out but most don’t.

Reason why liberals wanted so much to outlaw private Swiss bank accounts. Most wealthy (liberal included) would just hide their money in private Swiss bank accounts and determining exactly how much was earned world wide would be very difficult for IRS. That way the wealthy don’t have to revoke U.S. citizenship and leave.
