You have to watch the sunlight being shone on Toronto's motliest crew. Cute as a button, tough as nails.

Billy Joel’s grandfather fled Nazi Germany.

“This imposing building at Muggenhofer Strasse 28 is where the German-Jewish entrepreneur Karl Joel established an American-style mail-order textile business. Josef Neckermann, the head of the delivery service, profited hugely from the forced sale of the business, buying it for 5,300 Reichmarks instead of the 200,000 it had been valued at. After the purchase of the company in 1938, Neckermann printed the name of its new “Aryan” owner over that of Karl Joel’s on the old envelopes. Neckermann went on to build one of the most famous mail-order empires in Germany and later made a career as a champion equestrian. Karl Joel fled the country and, after an odyssey, landed in the US. He is the grandfather of musician Billy Joel.”

From 11/19 Deutsche Welle culture slide show. There is an exhibition at the Nazi rally grounds in Nuremburg through July.

Wow, Flaggman, I guess Toronto needs more psychiatrists to deal with all the crazies… Thanks for posting.

Flaggman, Canada has a problem similar to the United States, where ‘some’ of its residence seems to hate freedom.

I have nothing but curse words to follow, so I will end it here.

    “Good Day!”
