WSJ chart: Where Your Tax Dollars Go

The budget is hopelessly out of balance, and the bulk of the budget is on autopilot, so the “cuts” we're always hearing about are irrelevant. This chart, and the trends driving it, should be understood by all. (Of course, if anyone cared about reality, we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place. But we're doomed to suffer the consequences of our own ignorance, and the ignorance of the insane spenders we've put in control of our lives.)
