On the O'Reilly Factor Tonight

Just a heads up, but not sure exactly when the segment hits on the hour. The subject was Michelle Obama's attitude makeover. If they're able to keep that sneer off her face will be a true accomplishment. On the road now, more when I get to home base.

NBC's Tim Russert Dead at 58

russert.jpg

The host of "Meet the Press," and one of NBC's more fair and respected journalists has died of a heart attack. Send prayers to his family.

NBC's Tim Russert Dies at 58

Tim Russert, the Democratic operative turned NBC commentator who revolutionized Sunday morning television and infused journalism with his passion for politics, died this afternoon. Russert suffered a heart attack while working in his office on Washington's Nebraska Avenue. Details were not immediately available...

Former NBC News anchor Tom Brokaw gave MSNBC viewers the news of Russert's death at 3:40 p.m.

"He worked to the point of exhaustion so many weeks," Brokaw said, adding: "This news division will not be the same without his strong, clear voice."

Brokaw said Russert had just returned from a family trip to Italy with his wife, writer Maureen Orth. Their son, Luke, graduated from Boston College this spring, Brokaw said.

A solemn reminder to enjoy your family, and every minute you have, as tomorrow is not promised.

On Fox's "America's Election Hdqtrs" at 244p PT

**UPDATE: My segment for today has understandably been cancelled for extended coverage of Tim Russert's death.**

Today is the last day for Fox News' special America's Election Headquarters" program which was geared to cover the primary battles. Not that's over, Fox is shifting into new programming, beginning Monday with Laura Ingraham's three-week stint hosting a new show called, I believe, "Just In."

So today I will be on AEH's last show, at about 245p PT to discuss the politics/topics of the day. I hope to see you there. Knowing you're out there makes the world of difference :)

On the O'Reilly Factor Tonight re Political Gaffes

UPDATE: The segment will actually air in the first segment, just after the opening Talk Points memo.

The subject will include the Hillary RFK comment, which I'm feeling less concerned about (while it still deserves the Head Shake), compared to Barack Obama's plans to destroy this country economically while simultaneously disarming us.

That, and more, I'm sure. Not sure when the segment will hit. As soon as I know I'll update this post. Hope you can tune in :)

Maynard's update: Here's the clip. After the recent out-of-control slug-fests, all participants are on (temporary) good behavior. When her counterpart is speaking and Tammy lapses into polite silence, notice her eye-catching arsenal of facial expressions.

On O'Reilly Factor Tonight Re Ferraro And Dem Sexism

At first they booked me for tonight, then unbooked me because of the breaking malignant brain tumor Kennedy news, but now we're back on. As of right now, the segment is set to air at about 5:40pm PT (8:40pm ET). I hope you can tune in,

What will be especially fun is that Laura Ingraham is in for O'Reilly and we'll be discussing Geraldine Ferraro's comments that the Obama campaign is so sexist she may end up voting for McCain in the fall.

Geraldine Ferraro, calling Barack Obama "sexist," may not back him

And Ferraro, a staunch Hillary Clinton supporter who sparked a brouhaha earlier this year over whether she made a racially dismissive remark about Barack Obama, apparently is no longer a reliable Democratic vote.

Ferraro, in the NYT story, terms Obama "terribly sexist." And, as a result, she says she may not be able to cast her ballot for him if, as anticipated, he gains the Democratic presidential nod.

Morrissey at Hot Air has commentary and more, including video of a Ferraro appearance this morning, expanding on her concerns.

Make no mistake--this is a message to the Obama camp that Hillary will play every card possible. Ferraro's message is one thing and one thing only: permission for women to consider voting for the Republican (which is convenient for them considering McCain is essentially a moderate to conservative Democrat anyway) in lieu of supporting a sexist Democrat.

Ultimately, while I admire Hillary's refusal to back down under increased pressure by the boys (after all, if he's so sure he's the nominee, why push her so hard??), I do find it somewhat ironic that the woman married to Bill Clinton, who was impeached because of his own willingness to lie to a federal judge over his own sexism (manifest as sexual harassment) has now found herself battling it again, perhaps at the cost of her own dream.

On the O'Reilly Factor Tonight

Time Program Note: Originally, I thought I would be on near the end of the hour, now it looks like it's the segment right after his Talking Points Memo, at the top of the hour.

We'll be talking about Hillary and recurring accusations of racism from the Obama camp, which, IMHO, is another desperate attack by the Obama camp against a woman who has no intention of being bullied out of the race. So instead they think continuing to attempt to smear her will do the trick. In all honesty, why is recognizing and talking about the fact that Obama gets 92% of the black vote not racist, but Hillary mentioning the breakdown of her vote is racist? Well, it's not, of course. The Obama camp saw the false racism accusation work against Geraldine Ferraro (not that we believed it, but she did go away) Perhaps they think somehow, someway, it will make Hillary disappear. I think they have another thing coming and they had better get used to the fact that their Thought Police tactics won't work on everyone.

Is This a Joke??

Barf Detergent
(From Iran, where "Barf" ("برف") means "Snow")

Maynard wonders

An April Fools' item? This G4 press release looks to be legit.

G4 ANNOUNCES UNIQUE NEW SERIES THAT COMBINES EATING COMPETITIONS WITH GUT-WRENCHING PHYSICAL CHALLENGES

New Original Series Entitled “Hurl!” Debuts Summer 2008 on G4

LOS ANGELES, April 29, 2008 — G4 is taking competitive eating competitions to the next level with a new series that combines speed-eating with intense physical challenges. In each episode, five brave contestants attempt to consume the largest quantity of food in a short amount of time and are then immediately subjected to a series of challenges designed to shake them up. The one to hold his or her food down the longest claims victory and walks away with a cash prize, the Iron Stomach Award, and more importantly, serious bragging rights. The half-hour series, "Hurl!" premieres summer 2008 on G4.

The competition is made up of multiple stages, beginning with an intense eating contest. Contestants are challenged to consume a massive portion of some popular All-American favorite, as quickly as they can, with items ranging from chicken pot pies to New England chowder, fish sticks, hot dogs, blueberry pie, and more. Those who devour the largest quantity and keep everything down move on to the second stage where they must face nausea-inducing physical challenges, designed to shake them up – from carnival rides to belly flops off a high dive, to mechanical bull-riding. Each episode features two different cuisines and a new outrageous challenge...

I am at a loss for words.

Quote of the Day

lemmings2.jpg

I'd say there's a conservative in their ranks. :)

From Newt Gingrich on Greta's Fox show tonight about Obama, Wright and the Dem Party:

"He's [Obama] the nominee...Go back and look at McGovern and Dukakis, the Democratic party has cheerfully gone off the cliff before. They sing great songs together and they march straight off the cliff."

Let's hope he's right, but we must work to make sure he is.

Due to Mississippi primary coverage, the O'Reilly Factor will air at 9pm ET instead of the usual 8. I'll be on at the top of the hour right after his Talking Point memo. The subject? The Spitzer debacle, but with a focus on how certain idealogical groups have been handling it.

On Fox and Friends at 8:20am ET Thursday

Not being a morning person, this sort of appearance, via satellite as usual from Los Angeles, means I'll be leaving my little Power Shack at 4am PT. I'll down some coffee and then be speaking to Brian and Steve about a few apparent cross=over Repubs supporting and voting for Obama. He calls them "Obamacans."

One of my plans for the segment is to note the frustration of many Republicans (the actually conservative type) regarding the McCain candidacy (and no, we won't "cool it". For a man who says he'll unite conservatives, ordering them to do something is an awfully strange way to start) and then launch into my "Romney should stay in the race and force brokered convention" argument.

Should be a great way to start the morning. And by the way, I'm really hoping you CPAC attendees, whether or not you wear a sombrero, at the every least boo McCain. That would also be a very good way to start the afternoon.

On Fox's Cavuto Show at 4:10pm ET Today

We'll be discussing the McCain/Huckabee back room deal in West Virginia giving Huckabee McCain's voters to keep Romney from winning the state.

That's exactly the sort of dirty dealing that Americans are tired of, and a morally bankrupt effort to nullify the election process. It's why Americans want change.

They'll then have Huckabee on at 4:30pm ET and he will proceed to spin and say there was no 'back room deal.' Yeah, well 0perhaps they made the deal in a front room.

Hope you can tune in.

What Was In My Coffee This Morning?

**Bumped Up. At the suggestion of several Tammy Peeps, I'm bumping this up for those of you who missed it. We've got a big day in front of us tomorrow, and it will be a passionate day on Tammy Radio. I hope you can tune in. And if there's anyone in your family or friends who are wavering or don't know what to do, please see if you can get them to listen to my show. Maybe I can help make them feel comfortable voting for Romney. :)**

That's what Darlene asked, my peep who is kind enough to record and get my Fox News appearances posted on YouTube for all of us. She noted she liked it, and while I normally try to be gentle with Bob Beckel, this morning wasn't one of those times. Tomorrow is too important, and reminding people of the truth about McAmnesty is a priority. While for some political hacks, this is all a game, to me and I think to you, this is much more serious. The future is at stake. A vote for McCain is a vote for Hillary, it's that simple. McCain, of course, is too self-obsessed and arrogant to understand that.

It's time we remind him and every other MalNar out there that we are still in charge, and even though they've 'decided' what tomorrow will bring, they will be wrong. In other words McCain is to the Patriots as Romney is to the Giants. Presuming who will win, and behaving as though you already have, can have very serious repercussions.

On Hannity & Colmes Tonight at About 9:20pm ET

We'll be talking about the options for conservatives regarding the McCain candidacy. The answer, of course, is everyone should vote for Romney. Part of the context is Ann Coulter's comments that she will vote for Hillary over McCain. I've noted for quite some time that there are a few situations, if presented by the Repubs, that would make me return to the Dem fold (for one fleeting moment) and vote for Hillary, including Huckabee being anywhere near the ultimate ticket. It's possible I may make that choice if McCain is the nominee as well.

It should be lively. Hope you can tune in.

UPDATE:

Allah at Hot Air has the video with the headline: "Tammy Bruce: Come to think of it, I might vote for Hillary over McCain too," and then the tagline: "Conservative crack-up mania!"

Yep.

UPDATE:

Here's another point, also made by commenters on the Hot Air site--if the nation is going to be driven into a wall at 80 miles an hour by either of the candidates, then let the Dem do it.

UPDATE:

A thoughtful note in Comments from Pat worthy of a view on the front page.

The month of January has been a rough one for conservatives. I think we are shell-shocked and starting to say things that don't make sense.

I hope the Romney Rally is successful. Let's be honest. He's the Stop McCain candidate. He's the 2nd, 3rd or even 4th choice for many of us. McCain is the bane of our existence right now. We thought he was vanquished and now he's on the brink of triumph. We hate it. That's the source of our newfound love for Romney. How we expect Romney to be the peoples' choice in November when it's taken a rage-based crisis for Republicans to support him is a leap of faith. But I'm all for trying.

Now let's look ahead and assume the worst. McCain is the nominee running against Hillary. Hillary will not be more conservative than McCain. That is ridiculous. At best she and he will be two stylistically different manifestations of the same liberalism. At worst the Marxist dogma fueling Hillary will ignite. A vote for Hillary is a spiteful vote against McCain. It's nothing more noble or rational than that.

I disagree with John McCain on almost everything and I personally despise him. I admit it. I may not be emotionally able to vote for him in November but I will NEVER!!!! vote for Hillary Clinton. If the country falls into her clutches, any sweet sense of revenge voting for her against McCain will be fleeting and regretted for a long time after. I will not have an active hand in her success.

If my deep feelings against John McCain are paralytic on Election Day, I believe it is a more forceful rebuke to pass on both presidential candidates, effectively casting a "none of the above" vote, or perhaps write-in a name. Where is the sense in adding to Hillary's vote count believing some distinction will be made that yours is a protest vote?

Voting for Hillary as some master plan to get the Democrats blamed for a liberal wreck and then expect the country will turn back to Republicans in 2012 is adopting the Giuliani strategy of leaving the battlefield to skip ahead and benefit from the failure of others. There's no reason to believe it will be more successful for Republicans in 2012 than it was for Rudy last week.

From The Headless Horseman to The Bride of Frankenstein to The Night of The Living Dead it's been one horror after another for conservatives. Keep a clear head. Let's avoid Invasion of The Body Snatchers.

Very Sad: Suzanne Pleshette Has Died

Suzanne_Pleshette.jpg

Actor Suzanne Pleshette has died. While her career was expansive, she is best remembers, especially by my generation, as Emily Hartley, the wife to Bob Newhart's character on the first "Bob Newhart Show," which ran from 1972-1978 (taking me from 10 years old to 16). A beautiful, funny woman, she played one of the first "wife" characters who really demonstrated an independence within the context of a strong, equal marriage.

Time's Richard Corliss has this to say about her passing:

Actress Suzanne Pleshette Dies

Her face had ready-made drama: jet-black hair framing kabuki-white skin. Her gray-blue eyes could smolder on cue or, more readily, crease into a smile. The sultry voice and famously knowing laugh suggested a woman who had been places, had fun there and come back intact. Suzanne Pleshette was a perfect fit for the movies' golden age, in sophisticated romantic comedy (think of a brunette Carole Lombard, a springier Rosalind Russell) or the kind of elevated soap opera where she could lure a man to hell or sacrifice all in a tearful close-up. I see her swapping love banter with Cary Grant, taming Gary Cooper.

Unfortunately for her, Hollywood had stopped making the kinds of films that would have made Pleshette a star two decades before she got there. So she played Bob Newhart's wife Emily on his-six-year sitcom in the 1970s. That's how Pleshette is being remembered, on her death Saturday from respiratory failure. In 2006 she had undergone chemotherapy for lung cancer. But I prefer to think of her as one of those stars who got away — away from stardom, when the old dream factory forgot how to manufacture domestic glamour. She had all the goods, but at the wrong time...

As combination wife, den mother and sounding board — the norm by which all the kooks on the show were measured and found wanting (though funny) — Pleshette made sardonic seem cozy. Essentially the straight woman, she could assert herself in a scene just by being there; she was the footnote you want to read before getting to the main text. Her voice could coax, critique and forgive in one sentence; she was champion of the verbal raised eyebrow, but never in contempt, always in amusement. Though Emily and Bob were more or less post-sexual, they often ended an episode in bed, rehashing the day's events, he still complaining, she offering the vocal equivalent of warm pats and cold compresses...

"I don't sit around and wait for great parts," she once said. "I'm an actress, and I love being one, and I'll probably be doing it till I'm 72... " Not quite. She died 12 days before her 71st birthday. But on late shows and in reruns, Suzanne Pleshette will still be the soul of comic common sense, still sending out beams of a very reasonable radiance.

bobnewhartshow.jpg

The cast of the Bob Newhart Show

My childhood was made decent by a few experiences--Ray Bradbury's books, and some really great television shows in the 70s. Considering the garbage on television today, take a look at the Saturday night lineup on CBS starting when I was 10: All in the Family, M.A.S.H., Mary Tyler Moore, The Bob Newhart Show and Carol Burnett. A little reminder about real creativity, originality and talent, which seems to be mostly lacking these days on the small, and big, screens.

For those of you too young to remember Pleshette, thank goodness for reruns and syndication. TVLand runs both Newhart series'. Do yourself a favor and make a point of checking them out; you'll finally see what great television and comedy are all about.

I'll Be on the Special O'Reilly Factor Tonight

With the New Hampshire primary this Tuesday, and debates for both parties tonight, there will be a special Saturday "O'Reilly Factor" on FNC. Laura Ingraham will be in studio for Bill. O'Reilly, in the meantime, will be reporting in from New Hampshire, where he is doing his best to question Barack Obama, a man who is determined and has been oddly successful, at avoiding any in-depth serious interviews about the issues. That's gonna have to change, isn't it? :)

I'll be on at about 10 past the hour, along with Harold Ford, Jr., former Congressman and current chairman of the Democratic Leadership Council (the Blue Dogs) as we discuss, probably among other things, where the candidates stand on foreign policy.

This should be a nice change of pace. Hope you can tune in :)

UPDATE:

Thanks to Darlene for the YouTube posting of the segment. I have to say, I still get frustrated with such little time in these segments; it's hard to know what can be accomplished without being able to really expand on an idea. I suppose this is how having 3 hours a day on talk radio spoils a person :)

Babe News Anchor Punches Cop

alycialane.jpg

Alycia Lane. Just watch out for the right hook.

Sends cop to hospital. Which may get babe sent to jail. Babe then wishes she watched more "Bad Girls" when she had the chance.

News anchor busted for punching cop

An Emmy-winning news anchor from Philadelphia is in hot water for punching a police officer here in New York, officials said.

Alycia Lane, a Long Island native who co-anchors the nightly news for a local station in the City of Brotherly Love, was arrested for hitting a female police officer in the face early this morning in Manhattan, and charged with assaulting a police officer...

Earlier this year, 35-year-old Lane made headlines when she e-mailed photos of herself clad in a revealing bikini to NFL Network anchor Rich Eisen. The images were discovered by Eisen's wife, but Lane insisted the pictures were only meant as a good-humored joke.

I don't think she'll be going where Martha went. But those pics might get her a few more smokes.

Philadelphia News Anchor Alycia Lane Calls Officer 'Dyke', Lands in Jail

Alycia Lane, the evening news anchor on CBS affiliate KYW-TV in Philadelphia, was arrested on early Sunday morning in Manhattan after an altercation with a female police officer, according to the New York Times. Lane and her boyfriend Chris Booker, and another unidentified couple were reportedly traveling in a taxi through Manhattan and became upset over a slow vehicle blocking their way. Philly.com reports Lane confronted the passengers of the slow vehicle, which happened to be a group of police officers in plainclothes. [Oops.]

When one of the officers asked Lane, who was taking photos with her iPhone, to step back, the news anchor reportedly began verbally assaulting the officer. According to Philadelphia Weekly, Lane screamed at the officer, saying "I don't give a f*ck who you are, I am a reporter you f*cking dyke." Lane then punched the female officer in the face, according to the Associated Press, resulting in several lacerations and swelling. The officer was treated at a local hospital and released.

On Fox's Big Story on 15 Minutes!

Sorry for the late notice, but I'll be on Fox at about 245 or 240p pt. Hope you can tune in.

UPDATE:

I posted the above line from my excellent and most talented iPhone "Snarky" which is why it was so brief. The topic was a New York Public Library showcasing "art" featuring mugshots of President Bush and members of his admin, both past and present.

At first I wondered who put al-Qaida in charge of the New York Public Library system, but then, of course, remembered the American left is doing their bidding for them.

Not only is that unacceptable in a publicly funded entity, but as pro-choicers argued when pro-life extremists did the same thing featuring doctors who performed abortions, the same doctors would get murdered. So here is the enlightened, "progressive" left doing exactly what they decried not so many years ago as dangerous and the promotion of violence. I noted that not only should the display be taken down, but those who approved it should be fired.

New York Public Library Exhibit Features Fake Mug Shots of Members of Bush Administration

NEW YORK — Fake mug shots of President Bush, Vice President Cheney and other White House officials are on display at the main branch of the New York City Public Library, and the exhibit has caused quite a commotion.

About six manipulated photographs of members of the Bush administration made to look like mug shots are lining one of the landmark building's hallways, with each current and former official holding a D.C. police date-of-arrest placard bearing the date they made "incriminating" statements about the war in Iraq, The New York Daily News reported...

The installation, called "Line Up" by artists Nora Ligorano and Marshall Reese, is part of a larger exhibit: "Multiple Interpretations: Contemporary Prints in Portfolio at the New York Public Library."

Though some visitors were amused by the display, others were offended.

"It's a library," 54-year-old Jim Strifler of Long Island, N.Y., told the Daily News. "Maybe this would be okay for a museum, but this is supposed to be public ground."

The New York City library system is funded by public and private contributions.

"This exhibition has no political agenda," the library said in a statement issued Thursday. "The work described in the media has been presented out of context and is not a complete or fair representation of the entire exhibition — which showcases 23 different contemporary printmakers from around the world, featuring a range of subject matters."

LMOAROTF! "No political agenda." Uh huh. Which is why Bill Clinton was featured in one right next to President Bush. And Albright next to Rice. And Rove next to Sandy Berger.

Not.

On Fox This Morning/Barack and Oprah

Good morning everyone! Just the usual heads-up that I'll be on Fox this morning, at about 10:35am ET this time around.

The topic: Oprah Winfrey stumping for Barack Obama. Fox has sent me a piece from the NY Times. Since I won't link to that piece of trick, here's the text. I found particularly interesting Obama's description of the women in the audience.

DES MOINES — Oprah Winfrey is coming to town for Senator Barack Obama, his campaign announced today, scheduling a three-state tour beginning here on Dec. 8.

Ms. Winfrey, who has been fiercely protective of her extraordinary brand, is dipping into presidential politics for the first time with a visit to Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina. While she announced her loyalties to Mr. Obama’s campaign months ago and held a fundraising gala for him in California, this trip marks her debut on the campaign trail.

For weeks, the Obama campaign has been waiting for a signal from Ms. Winfrey that she was ready to campaign. It comes, of course, as former President Bill Clinton is stepping up his efforts to campaign for his wife in Iowa in advance of the Jan. 3 caucuses.

In an interview last month aboard his campaign plane, Mr. Obama talked briefly about Ms. Winfrey and her starpower, but noted that he was surprised she wanted to fully engage in politics.

“She says she wants to do something, which I was actually surprised by,” Mr. Obama said. “But I think it’s interesting to her.”

Mr. Obama and Ms. Winfrey met around the time he was running for Senate in 2004. The first time he and his wife, Michelle, appeared on her show, he said he was floored by the audience’s reaction to the talk show host. (No, he conceded, he hadn’t watched the show before, but he quickly added that his wife did.)

“We were waiting off stage to get brought in and we watched her walk out and there was a level of excitement among these middle-aged women that I’ve never seen,” Mr. Obama said. “Their eyes glaze over. When you’re there physically to watch it, it’s actually quite surprising. You actually go, wow, they are really excited. I’ve been on other shows where folks are having fun, but on this one, they were transported.”

The celebrity glow will no doubt translate to audiences when she arrives in Des Moines and Cedar Rapids on Dec. 8. It remains an open question if it translates into more supporters on caucus night.

My general point is going to be that after 'endorsing ' men like James Frey and Dr. Jan Adams, I think most people will take a political endorsement with a grain of salt. Besides, last time I checked, American women know how to make their own decisions, just like Oprah. Selling books is one thing, life and death and the future of this nation is quite another.

On Fox's "Big Story" at 2pm PT

Hope you can tune in. It looks like the subjects will be Oprah going on the road to support Obama and his discussion about his drug use with high schoolers in New Hampshire.

See you then!

UPDATE:

Well, we didn't see each other. As I was moved to the studio, the breaking news of the arrests in the Natalie Hollway case broke. So, I was bumped, which was completely understandable. I'll be posting shortly with ore thoughts on the events in Aruba and the Netherlands.

The Daily Show Explains "News I'd Like to..."

Yes, this is the Daily Show segment I could not discuss on Tammy Radio, for what will becomes obvious reasons. While the visuals are safe for work, the audio discussion, a certain word used to be exact, may not be. Have at it, courtesy of Raw Story.

The question then, of course, becomes, is it true?

Hillary's Plant Issue; My Fox News Video from Monday

Here's the video of the segment as we discuss HIllary's Planted Questioners drama. Of special amusement is Bob Beckel's assertion that because "everyone does it" (effectively lie to the American people and avoid meaningful questions by planting questions), it's no big deal and Hillary can do it.

Since that segment, here's a Fox News story about the controversy which uses Bob's and some of my comments about the issue.

As you also may have seen, the student who originally broke the Planted Questions story talked with CNN about exactly what transpired prior to the Clinton rally at issue, and how she was prepped. Hot Air has it all.

A note by Maynard: Did anyone catch this huge gaffe on Bob Beckel's part? It starts with the clip from Hillary's press conference, with the questioner quoting John Edwards as saying that planting questions is "George Bush-like behavior". Hillary responds with a smarmy little speech about how she was just shocked by this revelation, and she disapproved of such behavior. Focus now goes to Beckel, who blurts out that he's worked on four presidential campaigns, and everyone on both sides planted questions, and this is just standard operating procedure. He is saying, in effect, that Hillary and Edwards are liars and hypocrites in feigning innocence and condemning the tactic. The moderator gets a whiff of the implication and starts to follow up with Beckel, who apparently realizes what he's done. He suddenly backs off and tries to take the bullet himself instead of shooting down his top leadership..."Well, maybe it's just in the campaigns I've been involved in, and maybe I'm just one of those kind of guys...", he lamely explains, and then quickly changes the subject.

Fox Postpones Premiere of “24" Due to Writer's Strike

jack-bauer-gun.jpg

I guess this means we'll have to wait to see how Jack defeats the new and horrific enemy of...Global Warming. Darn.

Fox Shuffles Schedule, Postpones ‘24’

With the writers strike under way, Fox is switching up its 2008 schedule. The major moves include indefinitely postponing the premiere of “24,” moving up the launch of “Hell’s Kitchen” into spring and setting premiere dates for several new shows.

Overall, Fox plans a mix of reality and repeats, along with running off its remaining stock of scripted originals...

Mondays: Fox originally scheduled “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” and “24.” With only a modest number of “24” episodes reportedly complete, the season-seven premiere is being postponed “to ensure that ‘Day 7’ can air uninterrupted, in its entirety,” Fox says. Now “Prison Break” will launch the night, followed by “Connor” starting Jan. 14 (“Connor” will have a special premiere on Sunday, Jan. 13). Factoring in the limited number of completed shows available, the reality project “When Women Rule the World” will fill in at 8 p.m. starting March 3 and “House” repeats will take over at 9 p.m. on March 10...

On Fox This Morning Re The Dems and Iran

On today at 10:20am ET (7:20am PT).

Yesterday was the anniversary of the Islamist takeover of Iran and our embassy in 1979 so for today's segment we'll be talking about our current relationship with Iran. If this was the United States of Tammy, our 'relationship' would consist of us choosing bombing sites.

Obviously the status quo prevails in Iran, the Repubs have failed in dealing with this genocidal regime. Considering the the Repubs are considered the "hawks" and the Dems and especially Hillary have made it clear they want to return to the Lewinsky standard of how America deals with the world, we should be prepared for a nuclear Iran and some sort of a nuclear exchange in the world in the next 24 months.

We now have to decide if we want the Clinton standard of partying and doing nothing to confront the enemies of this world, or a Giuliani/Thompson sort of response which at least would involve some sort
of defense of this nation.

For anyone who happens to like living, the Dems and Hillary aren't exactly your best options for November.

Bill Maher Ejects Truthers From Audience

Good for him.

Maher boots protester from audience

Maher was talking science during one of his weekly panel discussions when a protester in his audience stood up, held up a smuggled-in sign reading "9/11 is a cover up fraud" and shouted comments to the same effect.

The host tried to shout down the audience member, who only became more agitated. "Do we have some (expletive) security in this building," Maher yelled, "or do I have to come down there and kick his (expletive)?"

When security reached the man's aisle and the man resisted leaving, Maher ran into the seats and helped them push him out the door, shouting "Out! Out! Out!" [...] After the instigators were ejected, Maher told his panelists — MSNBC's Chris Matthews, Los Angeles Times columnist Joel Stein and Congresswoman Sheila Jackson — that they often linger outside his studio to share 9/11 conspiracy theories with him and try to get into the show.

"It's the only time I defend Bush," he said.

On Fox This Morning, John McCain Respects Himself

Well, I suppose that's good considering he doesn't respect us. Apparently John McCain had a MalNar Sally Field moment, announcing that he really, really likes himself:

"You might not agree with me on every issue, but I hope you know I'm not going to con you. The most important thing we have in this life is our self-respect. And I'm not going to trade mine for anyone's vote or for any office."

Priceless. John McCain is a whining hypocrite. Self-respect? This is the same man who told a meeting of construction workers that we need an illegal alien slave class because American workers wouldn't pick lettuce for $50 an hour. He may have self-respect, but he has no respect for the American. To say
nothing of the absurdity of McCain complaining in debates that the American people have lost faith in Washington, and how he's going to lead that change when he's been a major part of the problem. The Amnesty bill chief among the debacles from those elites.

If McCain had any self-respect he'd withdraw from this race, and retire from government.

About the timing this morning--the segment used to be on at 10:20a, ET. They're still fine-tuning it, but the segment will be on later than that, some time between :30 and :40 past. Last week they told me :40 and we hit at about :30, so stayed tuned in that block and you'll catch it. I hope you can tune in. There's nothing I like better than spanking those hypocritical elites in Washington, and McCain is chief among them.

Sweet God No! Martha Stewart Loses Little Girl "In the Wild"

Marcia Gay Harden visited the "Martha" show to promote her show "Into the Wild," when Martha asked her if she knew anyone who had actually ever done that. Go into the wild, that is.
