Dog Murderer Michael Vick Going Bankrupt

Gee, since he failed maybe he should be drowned or electrocuted.

Vick files for bankruptcy protection

Michael Vick filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in federal court in Virginia Monday, citing debts of $10 million to $50 million.

One of the creditors listed in the court papers filed by the imprisoned Falcons quarterback is the Atlanta Falcons for a claim of $3.75 million as a pro-rated signing bonus. The claim is listed as disputed. Of the six other creditors listed in the court documents three are banks, including two that recently won judgments against Vick. The largest creditor is Joel Enterprises, Inc. with a claim of $4.5 million. That claim is also listed as disputed...

According to court documents, upon his release from prison Vick "will return to his home in Hampton, Va. and will seek to rebuild his life and career."

Yeah, let him seek it all he wants and we'll make sure there's nothing to rebuild.

In the meantime, there is a bit of good news. The Washington Post has an update on how about 50 of Vick's victims are doing in rehab.

Big Brown's Trainer Drugged Him For Race

Horse racing, which I grew up with and have enjoyed, should be banned. I simply cannot reconcile the sport of it for humans with the damage, pain and death suffered by the wonderful creatures. We must begin to look at horse racing as we do dog fighting--cruel and unacceptable. This sort of news simply confirms how those we think have the animal's best interests in mind, simply do not.

Dutrow faces ban for horse’s positive test

The outspoken trainer of Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner Big Brown is facing a 15-day suspension by Kentucky racing officials after another horse he trains exceeded the allowable limit for a drug that enables horses to breathe easier during a race.

Two separate drug tests on 8-year-old gelding Salute the Count revealed the horse had twice the allowable limit of Clenbuterol in his system after finishing second in the Aegon Turf Sprint at Churchill Downs on May 2...“It’s a respiratory enhancer,” Veitch said. “It’s become quite popular in racing medication because it’s used to train on.” [...]

The penalty is the first for Dutrow in Kentucky, though hardly the first time he’s run into trouble. He spoke openly about his checkered past during Big Brown’s run at the Triple Crown. He’s been cited dozens of times over the years for everything from repeated medication violations to his own drug use...

Dutrow is currently competing at Aqueduct while keeping an eye on Big Brown, who has been resting since a shocking last-place finish in the Belmont Stakes on June 7.

Several pictures have surfaced in recent days indicating Big Brown ran almost the entire 1 1/2 -mile race with the shoe on his right rear foot dislodged after he collided with Guadacanal shortly after leaving the starting gate...

Big Brown also ran with an acrylic patch on his left front hoof to protect a quarter crack, an injury that kept him off the track for several days leading up to the race.

“I don’t know, it’s kind of a puzzle to me,” Dutrow said. “I just don’t get the whole thing. It looks like when you look at the pictures, it could have bothered him, but I should have seen it and the rider (Kent Desormeaux) didn’t feel it.”

Arrogant, dangerous a**hole.

Danish Paper Wins Muhammad Cartoon Ruling

muhammad_cartoon.jpg

Finally, common sense is still alive.

Danish cartoon ruling may prompt "Islamophobia": OIC

The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), a league of 57 Muslim nations, said on Monday a Danish court's rejection of a suit against a paper for printing cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad could provoke "Islamophobia."

The High Court for western Denmark on Thursday rejected a suit against Jyllands-Posten, the newspaper that first published cartoons of Islam's prophet, leading to deadly protests in Asia, Africa and the Middle East...

The court said the editors had not meant to depict Muslims as criminals or terrorists, the cartoons had not broken the law, and there was a relationship between acts of violence and Islam -- comments that provoked outcry among Muslim groups in Denmark.

"It is a known fact that acts of terror have been carried out in the name of Islam and it is not illegal to make satire out of this relationship," the court said.

The Saudi-based OIC, the largest grouping of Muslim countries, said the ruling could encourage "Islamophobia", a fear or dislike of Islam, which the group has identified as existing in the West.

Last time I checked it's not defending oneself against terrorist beasts that causes "Islamophobia," blowing up busloads of children, shooting kids in the back at Beslan, and cutting off people's heads is what makes people look funny at Islam. And one other note to make of this story. Muslim nations and their supposed "moderate" normal leaders like the freakish Saudi "royal" family, all insist they have no desire for a worldwide caliphate, with all nations ruled by sharia law. No, they insist, that is the ranting of crazies like Osama. This OIC statement, however, belies that claim, revealing quite directly a wish for sharia law, including the ban on depictions of Muhammad, and the Islamic rules about offense and portrayal, prevail in the west.

That, my friends, is the essence of a worldwide caliphate.

Apparently Allah Still Isn't Willing

Oops...

What the new 'high quality special jihad' looks like when the last thing you hear is "oops."

Once again a bunch of terrorists go boom in an 'accident' as they were preparing a rather huge bomb to kill Jews. I'd say this is an unmistakable message that Allah isn't willing, and very obviously prefers the Jewish people and doesn't like genocidal Islamist terrorists at all. Hence, that 'boom' sound.

Hamas: Explosion in Beit Lahiya preparation for ‘quality’ attack

Hamas’ Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades confirmed Friday that the operatives who died in Thursday's explosion in the northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Lahiya were making last-minute preparations [I'd say so!] for a “special mission”, a Hamas codename for a “high-quality” attack.

According to the statement, the dead were operatives of a special Hamas unit. The organization promised that its people will “continue following in the path of those killed.”

Promise?

The further absurdity here is that Israel is in "truce" talk with Hamas. And what does a truce mean to Islamists? The Koran makes it clear that a cease-fire with Infidels is fine as long as you use the time to rearm and reorganize to launch more attacks in the future. This has got to be my favorite Orwellian headline and opening to an article of the whole day:

Hamas Admits to Blast, Truce Still On.

In a rare acknowledgment that perhaps reflects its desire for a truce with Israel Hamas implicitly admitted Friday that Israeli forces were not responsible for a massive blast that killed seven of its fighters and a baby in the Gaza Strip, by saying that the explosion occurred as militants were preparing for "a jihad operation."

So let me see if I understand this--Hamas admitting that a huge bomb they were building exploded prematurely is confirmation they want peace with with the people for whom the bomb was supposed to kill? Ok, got it.

Oh, and when is Jimmy Carter going to make a statement condemning this act, which killed and wounded children? Don't hold your breath for that one.

Shocker: The Chinese Will Spy on Olympics Visitors

I know it is the last thing you expected, but I bring you all the news, even when it's inexplicable, unfathomable and just plain crazy talk.

Olympic visitors' data is at risk

WASHINGTON — National security agencies are warning businesses and federal officials that laptops and e-mail devices taken to the Beijing Olympics are likely to be penetrated by Chinese agents aiming to steal secrets or plant bugs to infiltrate U.S. computer networks.
Chinese government and industry use electronic espionage to "easily access official and personal computers," says one recent report by the Overseas Security Advisory Council, a federally chartered panel comprising security experts from corporations and the State, Commerce and Treasury departments.

Equipment left unsupervised for just minutes in a hotel or even during a security screening can be hacked, mined and bugged, adds Larry Wortzel, who chairs the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission, a federal panel that monitors China-related security issues for Congress. China's government also controls Internet service providers and wireless networks, he says, so computers and PDAs can be monitored and planted with bugs remotely, too.

But of course, you don't even need to go to the Lion's Den to get nailed now do you?

More Obama Endorsements

Cuba and Iran love him. Now the only question is, when will Soros and Dean make Castro and Ahmadinejad Super Delegates?

An 'endorsement' no candidate wants [are they sure?]: Fidel favors Barack
[So I guess lunch is on?]

Just what the presidential candidates have been waiting for: Cuba's Fidel Castro is weighing in on the campaign.

The 81-year-old leader of the Cuban revolution may have given up his position as the country's president, but he writes regularly for the Communist Party newspaper, Granma -- and in a column in Monday's edition ...he calls Barack Obama "the most advanced candidate" in the race. (That's the English translation as provided by Associated Press and Reuters; the Granma English-language site translates his characterization as "this strong candidate."

IRAN: Tehran carefully rooting for Obama

Is Iran gunning for a victory by presidential candidate Barack Obama?

Obama_2Depends on whom you ask. But, yeah. It is.

Despite the official line that it won’t make any difference who wins the U.S. presidency (after all, they say, America is totally under the thumb of “Zionists"), Iranians are watching the U.S. elections closely and rooting for a victory by the Illinois senator, who has said he's willing to agree to unconditional talks with Iran...

..what Iranian elites say about Obama.

“I should say, he is a phenomenon, based on what he has said so far,” Sadegh Kharazzi, a former Iranian diplomat squarely in the reformist camp now out of power, said. “Unless he is drawn into traditional Democratic Party ways, his election as a president will be welcomed in Iran.”

Wrote the conservative daily Hamshahri on May 7:

Obama has adopted the friendliest strategies regarding Iran, because he believes that America should change its policy in dealing with Tehran, while other candidates have more hostile policies.

NoKo "Close" To Revealing Nukes Details

kimmy.jpg

Kim Jong-Il, via Team America

What's the hold up? Kim Jong-Il has to waddle over to the fax machine?

Yeah, well I'm close to being Mamie van Doren. And Sydney is close to being Rin Tin Tin. And I'm close to winning the lottery someday. Oh, and all of are close to getting that border wall built. We're close! Real close!

Remember, btw, the deal from the Bush/Rice team gave them fuel and other perks to get them to stop their nuke program, not to just tell us what they've got. What a massive, pathetic failure when the news has to be the tyrant is close to maybe, perhaps, telling us how many doomsday weapons he has.

Official: NKorea very close to turning in nuclear accounting

WASHINGTON - North Korea is extremely close to producing a long-awaited accounting of its shuttered nuclear program, a senior U.S. official said Friday. The documentation would be a major step toward a disarmament deal with the reclusive communist regime.

Although there is no date agreed yet, the documentation is expected within the next month. That would clear the way for a high-stakes meeting as soon as the end of June between the top U.S. and North Korean diplomats, along with the other four nations involved in a deal to put North Korea out of the nuclear weapons business.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the six-nation diplomatic consultations are confidential, says the U.S. insists it be able to verify that North Korea's documentation is complete.

Hahahahahaha!!! So, now we're reduced to 'verifying' documents! Priceless. Oh, Condi, just a note--"documents" given to you by Communist crackheads don't necessarily reflect reality. I'm just sayin.

The United States says the North missed a Dec. 31, 2007 deadline to come up with that paperwork. U.S. officials say the North produced only a partial accounting last fall but is now ready to turn over all the information that the United States and its partners need.

The United States has promised that after the accounting is in and checked it will remove North Korea from a State Department list of nations that sponsor terrorism. Lifting the terror stigma is a special goal of North Korean leader Kim Jong Il. Under the schedule U.S. officials expect, the United States could grant that concession in June.

Okey-dokey, you show us some fabricated paperwork (which is probably made in the same state-run counterfeit operation the Nokos use to make Americans dollars) and we'll say you don't sponsor terrorism. Even though you do. This is mind-numbingly pathetic. Just stunning.

And the Repubs dare to criticize Obama's ridiculous foreign policy plan to have lunch with tyrannical beasts around the world. At this rate, at least while, yes, we'll be screwed and the tyrants will win, at least they'd have to take us to lunch first. The Bush/Rice fiasco doesn't even get us a meal as we empower these freaks.

Another Example of How All Cultures Are Equal

Or, uh, maybe not. No wonder the liberal feminist establishment continues to argue that we have no right to export American values around the world. That might, after all, actually stop the mass murder of women by backward, pathological men stuck in the stone age.

Kenya mob burns 15 women to death over witchcraft

A rampaging mob in western Kenya burnt 15 women accused of witchcraft to death, a local official and villagers told AFP Wednesday.

"This is unacceptable. People must not take the law into their own hands simply because they suspected someone," said Mwangi Ngunyi, the head of Nyamaiya district. "We will hunt the suspects down," he added.

The gang of about 100 people moved from house to house late Tuesday, tied up their victims and set them ablaze, the official said. Ngunyi added that the mob also torched 50 houses in Nyakeo village, located some 300 kilometres (180 miles) northwest of the capital Nairobi.

"I can't believe my wife of many years would be killed so brutally by people who cannot prove their case even before God," said Enoch Obiero, a pastor.

"My mother has always been a role model to the entire village and why the mob had to kill her will remain a mystery to me forever," lamented 32-year-old Emily Monari. The region, populated mainly by the Kisii tribe, has been dubbed Kenya's "sorcery belt" due to mob attacks on women suspected of witchcraft.

Beasts. Funny how it's been dubbed the "sorcery belt" instead of the Mass Murder of Women belt.

Surprise: France Canoodling with Hamas

vichyfrance.jpg

Vichy's Philippe Pétain with Hitler

No wonder Obama wants to talk to terrorists and tyrants. France is doing it. What could possibly go wrong?

France FM: We are in touch with Hamas; group confirms informal contact

PARIS - France said on Monday it had held talks with Hamas, in an apparent softening of its support for the U.S.-led policy of isolating the Palestinian Islamist group that seized control of the Gaza Strip last year.

French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner confirmed a report in the French daily Le Figaro quoting a retired ambassador who it said had met senior Hamas officials about a month ago. "It would be difficult to deny it since the man who is in touch with them has spoken," Kouchner told Europe 1 radio. "Having contacts is necessary. We had some before the invasion [takeover by Hamas] of Gaza," he added.

The more things change...

Judicial Tyranny, Ho Hum

A post by Maynard

So a man in a robe has the power to tell the 4,618,673 California voters (a supermajority of over 60%) who passed Proposition 22 that their votes don't count.

This is par for the course. See my previous post, "Exit the Voters, Enter the Judges".

When Robert Mugabe nullifies an election in Zimbabwe, we cry out in pious indignation. But when it happens here, our tyrants are toasted as enlightened liberators. If the people didn't want this to happen, they shouldn't have voted "wrong".

In a sane world, judges such as these would be immediately removed from office for gross incompetence and corruption. Their abuse of power would be regarded as disgraceful; the stuff of dictatorships. Instead, creeping tyranny is celebrated as a normal part of the political process. The voters don't run the show; the voters are merely an obstacle.

History Repeating

A post by Maynard

I'm continuing to read Arthur Koestler's books. His autobiographical works in particular are fascinating, in that he connects his extensive personal adventures in pre-WWII Europe with the essential history of his era. His stories include much astute commentary on why everyone, himself included, allowed evil to flourish.

Koestler's first autobiographical volume was "Arrow in the Blue" (covering his birth in 1905 until he became a Communist in 1932); his story is continued in "The Invisible Writing", which covers the prewar period from 1932 to 1940. Here is an excerpt from that book which, although written in the early 1950's, is so terribly relevant to this day that it must be read. In this modern era of mega-weapons and genocidal maniacs, we cannot afford to ignore and repeat the mistakes of the past.

For seven years [from 1932], the statesmen and people of the West failed to see the obvious, failed to understand the threat to their civilization, and to eliminate it while it could still be done at a relatively small price. The seven-years'-blindness which benighted the West from 1932 to 1939 was one of the remarkable phenomena of History. As if acting under a curse, the various nations and political parties, Right and Left, however opposed their policies were in other respects, seemed to collaborate to bring about Europe's destruction. The attitude of the Conservative forces ranged from inane misconceptions of the nature of Hitler's regime to passive sympathy and active complicity. The various Socialist and Labor parties indulged in rhetorical denunciations of the Fascist danger, and did everything in their power to prevent their countries from arming against it. The Communists exploited the anti-Fascist movement for their own purposes and wound up with a staggering betrayal. It looked as if they were all partners in a secret European suicide pact.

The only mitigating circumstances the West could plead was of a psychological nature. The West was mentally incapable of believing in the gory tales about Nazi atrocities and about their fantastic plans for world conquest which sounded like something straight out of science fiction. When Hitler was beaten, the same psychological block made its appearance with regard to the Stalinite regime and its plans for conquest; the pattern repeated itself with a perverse and uncanny precision. But then, it required exceptional powers of imagination for people brought up in the traditions of the West to accept and visualize the revival of medieval torture and antique state slavery. It required an even greater intellectual effort to believe in the reality of the National Socialist and Communist schemes to enforce the millennium by terror, conspiracy and conquest. This incredulity towards the incredible was the most generalized phenomenon in the Seven Years' Night.

IAEA Slams Israel for Syria Attack

A post by Maynard

On September 6, 2007, Israeli jets swept into Syria on a secret bombing raid. The news reports were slow in coming, and consisted almost entirely of rumors and fragments; nobody was really sure what was hit, or even whether anything happened at all. (Here is an example of the news at the time.)

But it did seem that something in Syria had been bombed. The fact that the Syrians were subdued in their complaints suggested that the target was a secret they couldn't afford to reveal.

In recent days, facts have finally been released. We've learned the objective of the raid was to destroy an illicit nuclear reactor being built with North Korean assistance. Of course, the Syrians are claiming the evidence was faked by the CIA.

Now the International Atomic Energy Agency is condemning Israel and the US for not taking the issue to the U.N.

IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei has written a letter telling us how angry he is:

"The director general deplores the fact that this information was not provided to the agency in a timely manner, in accordance with the agency's responsibilities under the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), to enable it to verify its veracity and establish the facts.

"...the director general views the unilateral use of force by Israel as undermining the due process of verification that is at the heart of the nonproliferation regime."

It really would be nice if we could trot these problems over to the U.N. and have them solved. Unfortunately, the reality is more like (Warning: Don't click this link if you're sensitive to vulgar language!) what we saw in "Team America".

Jimmy Carter Finally At Home

cfcarter.jpg

Carter's found brotherhood with Jew-hating terrorists for quite some time. This Cox & Forkum cartoon is from 2006.

In Syria, in bed with mass-murdering terrorists. Oh, keep in mind either Obama or Clinton will give this terrorist appeaser a role in a new Democrat admin. Perhaps Secretary of State? Ambassador to the UN? Nominated for the Supreme Court? National Security Advisor? Consider whom a candidate will surround himself with when deciding who to vote for. After all, Obama at least knows appointing Farrakhan to cabinet position would be bad (I know that's a leap) so why not Carter, the second-best choice when it comes to malicious, self-obsessed MalNar Jew-haters?

Former US president Carter in Syria for talks with Hamas supremo

Former US president Jimmy Carter met Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Friday on the latest stop of a regional tour dominated by impending talks with the exiled leader of Hamas.

Carter held talks with Assad before preparing to defy US and Israeli opposition by meeting with the Damascus-based Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal.

Details on the meeting with Assad were not immediately available, but Carter's spokesman Rick Jafculca told AFP that the two were to discuss the peace process.

"The meeting between Carter and Meshaal will mainly focus on the Palestinian cause and means to deal with the Israeli occupation and its sanctions on the Palestinian people," senior Hamas official Mohammed Nasr told AFP.

How can this sort of 'meeting' not be considered a conspiracy to commit murder, especially when meeting with a death squad whose goal it is to wipe Israel off the map and kill Jews, and your goal is to discuss the "means to deal with the Israeli occupation"?

Chinese Junk-Sending Goons Mad at CNN

Who knew mass-murdering depraved Communist freaks could be so sensitive?

China demands CNN apology for "goons" comment

BEIJING (Reuters) - China on Tuesday demanded that television news channel CNN apologize after one of its commentators said the Chinese were "goons" and that their products were "junk."

Jack Cafferty made the comments earlier this month on CNN's political program, The Situation Room."We are shocked at and strongly condemn the evil attack by the CNN anchor on the Chinese people," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu told a regular news conference.

"Cafferty used the microphone in his hand to slander China and the Chinese people, and seriously violated reporting ethics."

Cafferty said the United States imported Chinese-made "junk with the lead paint on them and the poisoned pet food," adding: "They're basically the same bunch of goons and thugs they've been for the last 50 years,"

Yep. Here's the extremely bad video/audio recording of it from a television on YouTube but at least you get the context and his very appropriate remarks as Wolf Blitzer tried to paint China as a "capitalist" state to be reckoned with.

Treason Now Gets You Only 10 Years In Prison

Maybe even less. Selling out our nation's security to a Communist pit ultimately bent on destroying the Free World is a crime which should get you hanged. Apparently not these days, even when spying for China, one of the most depraved, genocidal nations on Earth.

Former Pentagon official pleads guilty in China spy case

A former Pentagon official pleaded guilty in court Monday to an espionage charge over the disclosure of secret data to an alleged Chinese agent in the US. Gregg Bergersen said he was unaware that the Taiwan-born businessman was passing the information to China. Mr. Bergersen, a weapons systems policy analyst who resigned his job last week, could face up to 10 years in prison.

The leaked data concerned US weapons programs for Taiwan, which China has threatened to regain by force, if necessary. Taiwan is a potential flash point for US-China rivalry in East Asia, and US military support for Taiwan is an irritant to Beijing. In turn, Taiwan has flagged China's steady buildup of missiles capable of hitting Taiwan. US military officials have warned that China and Russia have stepped up military spying activities in recent years, focusing on advanced weapon technology...

In two separate developments this week, a judge in California agreed to postpone until next May the trial of a Chinese-American engineer charged with stealing military and aerospace trade secrets on behalf of China, the Associated Press reports, and a federal court sentenced a Chinese-born engineer working on a Navy warship to 24 years in jail for trying to pass "sensitive data" to China, Bloomberg reports.

Despite all this, including the poisoned and tainted food and medicine with which China has been flooding our nation, as well as dangerous and defective toys for children and weakened steel for our buildings, President Bush still plans on traveling to China to enjoy the Olympic games while boosting the image of that pit as a civilized nation.

No wonder they have contempt for us as they try to issue Death by a Thousand Cuts.

Accused Saddam Agent Met With Hillary

It's amazing the access this freak had not only to the White House and Clinton, but to then-UN Ambassador Richardson. And not surprisingly he donated to Dems and Repubs, including Bush. This cozy, money-based corruption is truly bi-partisan.

This is not a good revelation for Hillary on the heels of her Tuzla airport fabulism. And according to Pew, she's now 10 points behind Obama, confirming Democrats are indeed idiots. I don't mean that in a sloppy insulting way, I mean that as a fact.

Accused Saddam Agent Says He Met With Hillary at White House

A Michigan man facing federal criminal charges of illegally working for Saddam Hussein's Iraqi Intelligence Service says he met with Hillary Clinton at the White House in May 1996. In a 1997 interview with this reporter, Muthanna Hanooti said that at the meeting, Mrs. Clinton was "very receptive" to his request for an easing of the American sanctions on Iraq that were in place at the time. He said Mrs. Clinton "passed a message to the State Department" about the need to implement the oil-for-food deal, which was intended to allow Saddam to sell billions of dollars' worth of oil to pay for food for Iraqi citizens...

Asked whether Senator Clinton recalls the meeting or whether the presidential campaign had any further comment on the meeting in light of Mr. Hanooti's indictment, the Clinton presidential campaign yesterday offered no formal response...

Mrs. Clinton and her defenders may claim that no one could have known in 1996 that Mr. Hanooti would become an agent of Saddam Hussein, engaged in what a grand jury and federal prosecutors say was a criminal conspiracy. The indictment charges that the conspiracy began "in or about 1999." Mr. Hanooti has pleaded not guilty.

But to reporters on the foreign policy beat in Washington at the time and to those active in the Iraqi opposition to Saddam, it was clear whose agenda was being advanced...

Chinese-Made Heparin Contaminent Identified

Maybe everything from China is cheaper because they use deadly counterfeit ingredients. As some are now suggesting on the internet, let's have the Chinese make our nuclear weapons, too, if it's such a great bargain and China is such a great friend.

FDA identifies contaminant in blood thinner

The substance wouldn't have occurred naturally in the heparin from China, the agency says, suggesting a counterfeit drug could be involved. The import may have led to the deaths of up to 19 in the U.S.

The Food and Drug Administration said today it has identified a mystery ingredient that contaminated a type of blood thinner imported from China that could have led to as many as 19 U.S. deaths and hundreds of severe allergic reactions among frail patients.

FDA Deputy Commissioner Janet Woodcock said the contaminant would not have occurred naturally in the many steps involved in processing the blood thinner heparin. That raised the possibility that a counterfeit drug could ultimately be blamed in the case.

"At this moment, we don't know whether it was introduced intentionally or by accident," she said. Officials stopped short of saying they suspected the heparin to be counterfeit, but they clearly indicated they were investigating that possibility.

Gee, like when the Chinese laced toothpaste and cough syrup with antifreeze? And the time they sent melamine for use as a pet food ingredient? Like those other possibilities of counterfeit ingredients?

Chinese Admit Hacking Into Pentagon

20-something hackers say they've done it, and are often paid by the Chinese government. The Commies deny it of course, just like how there were never, ever any people camping out in Tiananmen Square. Who were eventually murdered. By the Chinese 'government.' It's nice that we continue to prop up a depraved communist regime that's at war with us. At least it gives the Chinese something to do.

Chinese hackers: No site is safe

ZHOUSHAN, China (CNN) -- They operate from a bare apartment on a Chinese island. They are intelligent 20-somethings who seem harmless. But they are hard-core hackers who claim to have gained access to the world's most sensitive sites, including the Pentagon.

In fact, they say they are sometimes paid secretly by the Chinese government -- a claim the Beijing government denies.

"No Web site is one hundred percent safe. There are Web sites with high-level security, but there is always a weakness," says Xiao Chen, the leader of this group.

"Xiao Chen" is his online name. Along with his two colleagues, he does not want to reveal his true identity. The three belong to what some Western experts say is a civilian cyber militia in China, launching attacks on government and private Web sites around the world.

And then CNN reminds us why the American public rejects the Establishment Media as anti-American and sympathetic to the enemy, wherever and whoever they are.

One hacker says he is a former computer operator in the People's Liberation Army; another is a marketing graduate; and Xiao Chen says he is a self-taught programmer.

"First, you must know about the Web site you want to attack. You must know what program it is written with," says Xiao Chen. "There is a saying, 'Know about both yourself and the enemy, and you will be invincible.'"

CNN decided to withhold the address of these hackers' Web site, but Xiao Chen says it has been operating for more than three years, with 10,000 registered users. The site offers tools, articles, news and flash tutorials about hacking.

Let's See, Congress Holds Hearings on Baseball Steroid Use

While Iran continues to perfect it's nuclear bomb, two of three presidential candidates want to surrender, and China and Russia are harassing our military and spying on our defense infrastructure. Yeah, sounds like we have a bunch of liberals running the country--in Congress and the White House--who have no clue and are too afraid to actually take a stand on things that matter.

Well, thanks to the Congressional "investigation" into Roger Clemens' alleged steroids use, at least we know Jose Canseco has a really nice house, who was at Canseco's pre-game house party and the fact that it would have been a better party had it not been a day before the game so they could only drink iced tea. Thanks Congress. I had no idea.

Next, could you check on China and see what they're doing? You know, about spying on us, and sending us poisoned food and medicine, funding the Darfur genocide and testing satellite killing lasers? And maybe, if you have time, line up banking officials and ask them who they hell they've been giving sub-prime mortgages to? Oh yeah, and ask Russia about that buzzing of the Nimitz the other day. Only if you have time though, you know, in between talking to baseball players, and having more secret, back room deals writing another amnesty bill.

We better get this fixed in November, folks.

Iran testing advanced uranium centrifuges: diplomat

Iran has begun testing advanced second-generation centrifuges, defying UN Security Council demands to end its uranium enrichment activities, Western diplomats said Wednesday.

According to the diplomats, who are posted to the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, Iran has begun real tests of P2 centrifuges with uranium gas with the aim of producing enriched uranium.

"The Iranians are showing their face and it is clear that they want to develop their new centrifuges," said one Western diplomat. The tests are the exact "opposite" of what the United Nations expects from Iran, said a European diplomat.

They cant be serious. Iran is doing the opposite of what the UN expects? How can that be? And wait a minute, North Korea's been lying to us, too. But Condi believed them, and how can she be wrong? Or stupid? Or pathetic?

Customers Abandon Smoke-Free Restaurant

Nothing ruins a cardboard bun with a warm, steamy side of melamine more than cigarette smoke in your face.

Customers desert smoke-free restaurant

Beijing's first smoke-free restaurant chain faces going out of business after its customers deserted it in droves after the ban was enforced, state media reported on Friday.

The Chinese are the world's most enthusiastic smokers, with a growing market of more than 350 million, making it a magnet for cigarette companies and a focus of international health concerns..."We figure that if we're going to die, at least we're going to die honorably," the paper quoted Guo Xiaodong, deputy director of the restaurant chain, as saying.

Along with spitting, and not queuing, Olympic organizers fear Chinese people's tendency to smoke anywhere at any time could taint the country's image in foreign eyes.

Uh, Newsflash for China: Too late!!

Saudi "King" Reportedly Pardons Rape Victim

Which, of course, still reinforces the idea that being a rape victim isa crime which requires a pardon. All of these men--the so-called royal family and the stoneage Wahhabists, are nothing more than beasts.

Saudi king pardons rape victim: report

Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah has pardoned the victim of a gang-rape whose sentencing to 200 lashes caused an international outcry, a Saudi newspaper said on Monday.

The daily al-Jazirah cited Justice Minister Abdullah bin Mohammad al-Sheikh as saying the king alone had the right to issue pardons if it was in the public interest...The 19-year-old Shi'ite woman was abducted and raped along with a male companion by seven men last year in a case that has drawn criticism from around the world. [With the glaring exception of the American feminist establishment, as silent on this as they've been with the Sudanese teddy bear teacher case--ed.]...

The Supreme Judicial Council last month increased the sentence to 200 lashes and six months in prison and ordered the rapists to serve between two years and nine years in prison...

If confirmed, the pardon would represent a rare occasion where Saudi rulers have publicly challenged Saudi Arabia's hardline clerics, who have wide powers in society according to a traditional pact with the Saudi royal family.

Our Friends the Pakis Let Terror Suspect Go

Oh yeah, they say he "escaped." Just like how bin Laden and Zawahiri are "hiding" in Paki and how Bush "is doing everything he can to hunt them down."

This is one of the men, btw, who was planning the liquid bomb attacks on airliners flying from London to the United States. Sky News has additional coverage. This is an especially interesting development considering it occurred on the same day Musharraf lifted martial law. One could assess that Musharraf made a deal with Islamists and al-Qaida that they would back down, allowing him to lift martial law, and he would free one of their terrorist brothers.

Terror Suspect's Lawyer: Escape Tale 'Fishy'

Pakistani authorities say they have launched a massive manhunt for suspected terrorist Rashid Rauf, who they claimed broke free from his handcuffs and escaped armed policemen's custody.

In a country that has spawned many Islamic extremists, Rauf's escape raised uncomfortable questions for the Pakistan government, which has been hard pressed to explain how the al Qaeda suspect escaped police custody.
Rauf was being transferred from a detention center when somehow he broke free of his handcuffs and escaped the custody of armed policemen, according to Pakistan.

It's a story even his own lawyer describes as highly dubious.

"This story of the police is so fishy," said Rauf's lawyer, Hashmat Ali Habib. "They are saying that he unlocked the handcuffs and then he disappeared."

Pearl Harbor--Never Forget

pearl_poster.jpg

Image courtesy of Home of the Heroes.

I've noted a number of times how we owe Europeans, and especially the English, a deep apology for not intervening sooner in World War II. Until the strike on Pearl Harbor, we allowed so-called Pacifists and isolationists to determine this nation's (non)reaction to genocide and naked aggression. Some attitudes haven't changed. Thank goodness we as a nation have. So much for 'pacifism' and 'peace.' Because we waited and did nothing as the Axis powers raped the world, millions died. Of all the things we learned during World War II, from its beginnings in 1933 when Japan invaded China, it is to never mistake not being at war for peace.

Today is the 66th anniversary of that tragic day when the disease of fascism attacked us at home. Eventually it always does and on December 7, 1941 our looking away emboldened the enemy as they struck without warning. That, like September 11th, was a day of murder forcing our reluctant nation into war.

Here are some details of that day which lives in infamy:

The dead from the attack numbered 2,390 Americans, including 1,177 on the battleship Arizona.

Japanese commander Mitsuo Fuchida, who led 184 bombers and fighters over Oahu, sent the message "Tora! Tora! Tora!"

The translation: "Tiger! Tiger! Tiger!" -- which means the attack has caught the enemy by surprise.

Avoiding hits from Japanese planes, the USS Detroit headed into the Pacific in search of the enemy. And at war's end, it was among the first ships to steam into Tokyo Harbor when Japan formally surrendered on Sept. 2, 1945.

As we all remember this date, each year there are fewer survivors to tell the tale. Here's one of them, recounting what it was like when all hell broke loose:
