The purely fascist tactic of ritual defamation, condemning dissent, and attempts to silence voices that do not pledge allegiance to the Left, has now consumed local and federal Democrat lawmakers.

In one of the most remarkable and shameless displays of Thought Police tactics, Democrats now carry the water for the Soros Gestapos which exist to squelch public discussion of which they do not approve or does not confirm to their nihilistic leftist agenda.

Make no mistake–this is one of many volleys launched in an effort to revive the necessary and ultimate leftist grab for power–a return of the so-called Fairness Doctrine, which would kill the freedom of market and listener driven talk radio.

San Francisco supervisors condemn Savage

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors today condemned nationally syndicated radio talk-show host Michael Savage, whose program originates in city by the bay, for “hate speech.” It was the board’s second attempt at a resolution to condemn Savage for his criticism of illegal aliens in the U.S…”This is a dry run against free speech in America by the Islamists and the illegal aliens who are now becoming one and the same,” said Savage in August. “It’s the same organizational structure. … I am the target of this dry run. They want to see how far they can get in silencing a voice of freedom in the United States of America. They want to see which, if any, governmental agencies will stop them.”

“Guess what they learned so far?” he continued. “That not only will no governmental agency stop them in their attempts to kill free speech, they will aid them in their attempts to kill free speech. We have lost our freedoms already.

And this absurdity. Apparently the Democrats in the Senate have nothing better to do than jump into the Thought Police sewer:

Conservative Radio Host Rush Limbaugh in Sights of Antiwar Democrats on Capitol Hill

Democrats took to the Senate floor Monday to demand an apology from Limbaugh for supposedly saying that troops who oppose the Iraq war are “phony soldiers.” Limbaugh has vehemently denied a wholesale attack on antiwar servicemen and women.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid announced that Democratic leaders have drafted a letter to Mark Mays, president of Clear Channel, the parent company of Limbaugh’s broadcast, calling on the network “to publicly repudiate these comments that call into question (‘antiwar soldiers’) service and sacrifice, and ask Mr. Limbaugh to apologize for his comments.”

Limbaugh said Monday that efforts by Reid and others to condemn him are merely an effort to divert attention from Democratic failures to change the course of the Iraq war. He added that his critics know they are misrepresenting his comments but are charging forward anyway.

“This is not just the anatomy of a smear. There’s much more going on with this than just smearing me. There is an attempt, I think, as they have done throughout my career, to discredit me,” Limbaugh said on his radio show.

Make no mistake, I am no fan of Savage, and I consider Limbaugh, as many do, a water-carrier for President Bush, but this is obviously wrong on a multitude of levels. On one hand you have government attempting to intimidate public voices into silence because they do not like a political message. Hugo Chavez is engaging in this very activity in Venezuela with the shutting down of televisions stations he does not like to silence their independent message.

Principles and values are simply slogans when applied only when convenient, or to situations with which we agree.

Nihilistic leftists like George Soros and those who run his sewerline Media Matters know their message anti-American message of socialistic hopelessness will never survive in America if we have avenues where the issues can be freely discussed, out from under their dead hand.

This is nothing new, however. My first book, The New Thought Police, illustrated this tactic and warned of the American left’s incresing reliance on fascist theory and application.

See the attacks on Savage, O’Reilly and Limbaugh for what they are–frantic fascist efforts to demonize those who cannot be intimidated into silence. It is an effort by a bunch of Malignant Narcissists to shut down open public discourse before the 2008 presidential election.

Do not let it happen. Let your senators and congressional members know you reject this untoward and dirty descent into intimidation and defamation of opinion journalists by government figures. This absurdity must stop.

One point that most classical conservatives either don’t know or fail to point out is George Soros in a convicted felon in France… would love to see that blasted out on FoxNews.

Still loving the Internet feed of your show, Tammy

  2. I’m a bohemian-conservative and did not know that either. It goes to my theory that he is The Anti-Christ. I read on the web that he not only was not a Holocaust survivor but a collaborator (with his father)!???
Is it me or is this Media Matters monster going into hyper-over drive?
Or have I been listening to too much Talk-Radio lately? The leftists dogs are nipping at the heals of Rush, Medved, O’Reilly, Gen. Petreaus and others
What, are they afraid of Ann Coulter?

Will this Brock/Soros/Clinton path of destruction come crashing down, fallen by a mighty blow of truth?…
It’s built on hate a pack of lies. But that’s the Dems platform.

Tammy, thank you for posting this. I fear that freedom has never been threatened as it is going to be threatened in the next few years by the Democrats. You are so right about this being Fascism. They actually laid out a blueprint this year for what they will re-attempt if they can win the Oval Offive and strengthen their hold over the House and Senate:

    1. Reinstitute the Fairness Doctrine to silence conservative talk and also use threats of hate speech prosecution to do the same and

    2. Legalize every illegal person and make America a California look-alike: a one party state for a generation at least.

I heard Michael talking about this last week. I am a big fan of his as well as of yours. It is to your credit that you are able to be so kind to Michael, considering his attitude about gays, and the way he talks about them on his show. Of course, no one can be all things to all people.

Best blog yet on the whole sickening tactics of the left. Tammy, I am beyond disheartened yet not surprised over the actions of the leaders of the so called “greatest deliberative body” in the world.
I believe that our elected representatives no longer represent the United States of America; rather they represent their own agendas, issues and dare I say bank accounts.
While I am no fan of Savage, I was appalled and remain appalled at what is happening to him.
Rush..well, I have listened to Rush since he began and never miss a show. What Reid and the Gestapo left are doing to him is a sign of me of their utter implosion about to occur. I can only hope and indeed pray that America wakes up before it is too late.
Live free or die my friends. It is time to unite and surge. You said it in your book The New American Revolution and those words are so true this night.
    Great post Tammy..

  6. mm32 says:

Tammy, I have to take issue with you calling Rush a “water-carrier” for Bush. That’s not fair to the man. As his listeners will tell you, while he largely supports Bush, he’s not shy about criticizing bush either. Off the top of my head, I can remember Rush:

-critizing the out of control spending from day one, as it was happening. (I started listening to Rush during the 2000 elections.)

-critizing bushes support for steel tarrifs

-putting forward his “Big Theory” (I think that is what he called it) that Bush really (naively) believed that he could bring about “a new tone.” He critized the Presidents underestimation of Left thirst for power (though praised the fact that he actually meant what he said).

-Expressed extreme reservations over Harriet Myers.

I’m sure there are other things I will think of later, but you get my point. I think if you got to know the guy, you would love him. I mean, you understand how the radical left tries to ostracize those that threaten them. Heck! You wrote the book on it. You got to understand, Rush is a victim of that. A lot of the notions that people have about Rush come from people who hate the guy. You certainly will disagree with him on many things. However, if you got to know him, you would love him. He’s another radical individualist.

As for what you what you said about the idiotic thought police–> Major League Dittos!!! 😉

  7. daredevilaccordian says:

I wouldn’t be surprised if they burn all of their current POTUS candidates and nominate Hugo Chavez at the convention. Yikes.

However, I honestly don’t believe that the fairness doctrine can get very much footing, though. Conservative talk shows are huge revenue generators for the media conglomerates and syndicators. I figure their lobbyists would scare the bolshevik out of anyone in Congress who considers getting on board that train. Or is that just wishful thinking? It is truly time to unite and surge.

  8. Floyd R. Turbo says:

Sounds like the leftists/dems and their ilk would only be satisfied if they could resurrect the old Soviet news agency TAS. Don’t remember how it was spelled but you get the gist. They want a say in everything we hear or read and if it’s not favorable to them, we’d never see or hear it. First Amendment? Only if the speech agrees with them. What a deal. They must be cheering ol’ Putin on in his “devolving” towards the old Cold War habits we’ve been hearing about. Maybe we shouldn’t have been chopping up all those beautiful old B-52s down in Arizona. Oops, did I just say that? Oh well. My bad. I hope. But we’d do well to not turn our backs on Hillary, Reid, Pelosi, Teddy, “Sheets” and their buddies. As old Festis on Gunsmoke used to say, “Them varmints are up to no good, Matthew!” Best keep ol’ Betsy loaded and behind the door, ‘n sleep with one eye open. Ok, it’s late. I’m getting weird. G’nite!

  9. Kimj7157 says:

I sort of feel like I’m in the “Twilight Zone”. As WORD-DRUM metioned, it’s like they’ve gone into “hyper-overdrive” in their attempts to ultimately silence all dissenters. Their DESPARATION is absolutely GLARING. Anyone who actually listened to the context of the Limbaugh statement couldn’t help but laugh at the ridiculous comments by Reid, Harkin and others. What pathetic losers! These people have absolutely no shame at all and will fabricate whatever they lack in terms of actual fact.

Just another confirmation that these fascists MUST BE DEFEATED come ’08. Like never before, the future of our Nation depends on it.

  10. Wats22 says:

We need to stand firm on this issue and make certain that the Fairness Doctrine never sees the light of day. I do some work with the NAB, and I can attest to the fact that the Doctrine did nothing more than muzzle debate.

In America, sometimes liberals win the debate and sometimes conservatives do. But we have an inherent right to air our opinions.

The notion that the Doctrine is “fair” is ludicrous spin cooked up in Washington. In reality, it puts strict stipulations on our very clear right to free speech.

  11. JIGGS says:

Georgie learned a lot during WWII. Too bad he’s using it to destroy America. Now our government schools are attempting to dumb down our children so they’re incapable of recognizing the danger signs of true fascism. What will become of us?

  12. mrfixit says:

The left will have won when they get a 6-3 majority on the supreme court. Both parties seem to have relegated themselves to the notion that the high court is an unelected “Super Senate” that can create law from whole cloth, interpret the words “shall not be abridged” as “entirely open to any regulation or outright rejection.” And the new presedent of looking to international law to resolve constitutional issues. Step one will be to turn the 2nd ammendment upsidedown by interperting the language to be “state sanctioned citizen militias” (none will be sanctioned). And then the matter of free speech: Simply declare that the only allowable free speech will be political speech, as published in newspapers having national coverage. Game Over.

  13. Dave J says:

When is San Francisco going to get around to proclaiming independence from the US? Or do they feel they don’t need to be bothered?

  14. Stephen R. says:

Since it’s not mentioned anywhere above, I think it worth mentioning for the record:

The “fake soldiers” to which Rush was referring are the anti-war people who claim to be veterans, but who have never actually served in the armed forces. This is clear in the broadcast, as he names at least one of them.
