His style may be similar to JFK, but the substance couldn’t be more different. Bottom line: Obama is more from the Teddy wing than the RFK wing of that particular family. And if I were Obama, the last person I’d be taking ‘driving’ lessons from would be Teddy.

Obama takes big risk on driver’s license issue

Sen. Barack Obama easily won the African American vote in South Carolina, but to woo California Latinos, where he is running 3-to-1 behind rival Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, he is taking a giant risk: spotlighting his support for the red-hot issue of granting driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants.

It’s a huge issue for Latinos, who want them [Ha! It’s illegal aliens who want them, not “Latinos.” Americans who are of Hispanic descent are as opposed to rewarding illegal aliens as much as everyone else. Sheesh.] It’s also a huge issue for the general electorate, which most vehemently does not. Obama’s stand could come back to haunt him not only in a general election, but with other voters in California, where driver’s licenses for illegal immigrants helped undo former Gov. Gray Davis.

Clinton stumbled into that minefield in a debate last fall and quickly backed off. First she suggested a New York proposal for driver’s licenses for illegal immigrants might be reasonable. Then she denied endorsing the idea, and later came out against them.

Asked directly about the issue now, her California campaign spokesman said Clinton “believes the solution is to pass comprehensive immigration reform.”

They’re all the same. Never forget the hit Hillary took when she supported Spitzer’s plan. Now her answer to that is to employ the McCain style of lying to us. After all, they are such good friends. And as the saying gores, with friends like these who needs Osama bin Laden to destroy the country?

Remember, this issue emerged during a November debate because of that Spitzer debacle. On a serious issue Obama isn’t quite as ‘inspirational,’ is he? Now, when he needs t pander to the illegal alien vote, he seems to have found his voice, something that was missing on November when asked for a yes or no answer.

Like I said, they’re all the same.

Now that Obama has the endorsement of the two drunks Patrick and Teddy Kennedy maybe he’ll propose making drunk driving legal in the 50 states. Then he’ll have the drunks vote.
Remember the boasting of a drunken Patrick Kennedy at a D.C. nightspot when he told the crowd ” I don’t need Bush’s tax cuts, I never worked a f****** day in my life.” That should be good for the lazy bums vote.

HUH??…OK, let me try and understand this. He was “against” it before he was “for” it…and now he’s….AY CARAMBA!!!

Maybe I’ll get it if he says it in Spanish!!

Obama seems like a nice man but he is totally out of his league running for POTUS. He is as left wing as they come only he does it in a gentlemanly way unlike the Kos Krowd. I’ve said it before and I will say it again – if his skin was a few shades lighter and his name Barry Henry Oliver and he had the same qualifications as he does now, he would be in Kucinich/Dodd territory for irrelevance.

I have reached the breaking point hearing about what a “great guy” Obama seems to be. This is not a group that should need to be told: every politician sounds like a nice guy on the stump.

Obama has avoided all media scrutiny, including now conservative scrutiny because the conservative pundits are so obsessed with hating the Clintons, they don’t realize this guy is much more dangerous.

He is not where Tammy was 15 years ago. He’s where Bill Clinton was 15 years ago. He is playing the nice new kid with the mean wife who’s going to shake things up. Who does that sound like? Obama is an ultra-leftist (The Kerry, Kennedy, and anti-war support adds to that evidence) who makes Hillary look like a centrist. Tammy was never a leftist and she realized the betrayal of the left to her liberal values in her 30’s.

He is a Chicago politician who is not even qualified to be a Senator. He has Jeri Ryan and Alan Keyes to thank for the half of a term in federal office he has served.

Of all the unexpected thinks coming out of this election, I never thought I would be rooting for the Clintons. But, Lord help me, I hope they can down take this demagogue socialist. He has a future in the party, and that scares me more than anything the Clintons can pull.

Maybe Obama sent Ted Kennedy a case of Chivas to procure his endorsement.

Remember… it’s not the illegal alien vote he’s pandering to. It’s the guilty white liberal vote.

Yowch! Obama’s never worked a day in his life either.
