A post by Maynard

It’s heartwarming when soldiers return from the field of battle to be reunited with their loved ones. Of course I wouldn’t want to understate the importance of the homecoming with regard to wives and children and the like. But the pièce de résistance is the reunion with the family pooch. Could anyone possibly disagree?

I think Gracie might be my 4th cousin twice removed on my sireside. Proud of that girl, and the human she stood guard for while he served his country. WOOF.

Almost reminiscent of a video I saw a couple of years back. Wish I had the link for you guys. Basically a troop is coming home and he and the wife decide to surprise their son at school. Dad walks in and the boy, about 6 or 7, begins crying and hugging his dad, jumping up and down he so happy to see him. Was So beautiful. I’m gonna have to dig up the link somehow for you lot.

Good dog and good troop, makes Me smile and brings a tear. Gods bless our troops and All of their loved ones.

One was a family member. God…Please I never want to do that again…and Please Help Obama
to get a clue! If you ever sit through the bagpipes..then the rollcall..then the taps….you will understand. The dog gets it!
