Apparently there is enough evidence for the Army to be “investigating” an alleged attempt by (maybe possibly) Muslim soldiers to poison the food supply of their fellow soldiers, but not enough evidence to say there is, uh, any evidence.

Kinda like how John Brennan noted after the Christmas Day bomber attempt that there have been no terrorist attacks on US soil. Interesting how an adviser to the president somehow forgot about the murder of Private Long by an Islamist and, of course, the mass murder horror at Ft. Hood.

Army Investigates Alleged Attempt by Soldiers to Poison Food at Fort Jackson

The U.S. Army is investigating allegations that soldiers were attempting to poison the food supply at Fort Jackson in South Carolina.

The ongoing probe began two months ago, Chris Grey, a spokesman for the Army’s Criminal Investigation Division, told Fox News.

The Army is taking the allegations “extremely seriously,” Grey said, but so far, “there is no credible information to support the allegations.”

Five suspects, detained in December, were part of an Arabic translation program called “09 Lima” and use Arabic as their first language, two sources told Fox News. Another military source said they were Muslim. It wasn’t clear whether they were still being held.

Grey would not confirm or deny the sources’ information.

Yep, another good, solid B+ for our Dumb Bastard-in-Chief.

Fort Jackson is also the Army’s largest training facility, and it’s the only Army Base where women go for Basic Training.

My husband was there last January-April. He said he had some of the 09 Limas in his group, and that most of them were alright, but one was the whiniest little crybaby you’d ever meet. He threw fit about prayer times and refused to take orders from women; the Mr. said that a drill sergeant finally got up in this guy’s face and told him that if he couldn’t reconcile his faith and the Army, he needed to find another line of work.

I don’t know what happened to him. Maybe he’s been arrested.

Judging from the way the Army treated Major Hasan – I’d think that guy got promoted 🙁

Well, the Mr. also said that the reason they’re saying there’s no evidence but the guys in question have been detained, is that probably someone just reported that he/she had overheard them talking about this plot. Thus, cause to detain them without any substantial evidence . If this is indeed the case, it seems higher-ups in the military have become less concerned about being called racists than they are about keeping their bases safe — as they should be.

My G-d, Obama’s first Constitutional duty as President is the protection of the country not Political Correctness. Why doesn’t the godling [and, for that matter, his sick-o-phants] get out of their ideological box and pay attention to threats against the country they are trying to transform? I know, I know, you can’t appeal to someone’s sense of duty, obligation, much less sacrifice if the suffer from NPD.

For crying out loud, this case of the so-called “Fort Jackson 5” is in country. It’s gotta be about the third or fourth attempted terrorist attack in country under Obama that We The People know about. I guess Tiger Wood’s personal problems are more worthy of being given wall to wall coverage than it is to report about Jihadi threats to the country’s safety. The way things are going, there just might not be a country left to transform.

Why does the DoD have to hire Muslim Arabic language translators? Why can’t Obama/DoD recruit people from among the Egyptian American Coptic Christian community? Or any other Arab-Christian community that has found shelter here in the USA. Heck, they could have recruited from that group of Egyptian Copts that protested in front of the White House in January of this year. They were asking that Obama speak out against the Muslim persecution their bretheren are enduring back in Egypt. Anyone doubt these Arabs’ willingness to help the country that has given them shelter? Anyone doubt where their loyalty would lie?
