What a concept!

In a Pigs Flying moment, the state of Utah has decided to actually consider the full income of illegal aliens before throwing food stamps at them. You see, before this Utah wouldn’t consider the entire income of illegal aliens when it came to determining food stamp eligibility. Yet, for families in Utah that were actually comprised of American citizens, their full income was considered when assessing eligibility. Looks like the Days of Wine and Roses and Food Stamps You Really Don’t Deserve for Utah’s illegal aliens might be over.

Bottom line: What Utah has done removes an incentive for illegal aliens to stay in this nation. We don’t need to discuss or consider something like deportation. Utah will find removing existing incentives for those who are here illegally will result in illegal alien self-deportation, plain and simple.

Undocumented immigrants lose government food aid

At the beginning of July, more than 2,000 families with undocumented immigrants stopped receiving food stamp benefits because of a change in Utah’s rules. Now a growing number of them are showing up at emergency food pantries confused and needing help…

Earlier this year, the state announced it would begin to fully count the income earned by all members of a household when determining food stamp eligibility. Previously, only a portion of undocumented immigrants’ income was counted in the food stamp calculation, due to the limitations of an old computer system.

That meant, in some prior cases, that a family with several undocumented members might qualify for food stamps although a family of native Utahns making the same amount of money might not [outrageous!–T].

“We believe this is fair and equitable across the board to treat all people equally when it comes to calculating the benefits that people get when they apply for food stamps,” said Curt Stewart, a spokesman for the state Department of Workforce Services, which oversees the food stamp program.

But the families who have showed up at Hildegarde’s Pantry at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Salt Lake City have not understood the bureaucratic changes and wonder if Americans are being given preference over them.

It would be about time.

Clearly the Holder Justice Department needs to sue Utah about this. They way things are going I wonder if they won’t have sued every state for something by the time we manage to boot them out of office.

I just logged on to make this exact comment.

We have got to PERMANENTLY get rid of this entire communist/marxist/muslim terrorist accommodating administration! It is disgusting that we even have government officials in the above categories alive working in and against this country. We need to go beyond simply taking them out of power we have to imprison every single one of them and then some

Hmmm… *think think think* Lets see… Illegal immigrants receiving Any Federal, State or Local benefits is inappropriate, in my humble opinion. If an American family, whether born or naturalized, needs some assistance, that’s fine, they’re paying taxes and doing their part. Here in Virginia several counties have suspended all aid to foreign nationals that are here in an undocumented or expired document status.

To give you an idea of how bad it is here, there is actually a Salvadoran Consular office in a strip mall not far from my house. I kid you not, a Consular Office… What the Hell?

Sadly, cutting off benefits and aid will not make them go back home until we do it on a national basis. No more sanctuary cities, no more federal aid, state aid or even county aid. Otherwise they’ll merely migrate to an area that Does provide aid.

Remove the whole Anchor Baby question, Grandfather in anyone over the age of 16 (they have an investment in this country) that Wants to stay (Do not give their parents legal status unless they agree to go through naturalization and agree to pay appropriate fines) and all others will be deported and their “citizenship” suspended. When they are of age they can apply for the suspension to be lifted. If they have one parent that Is a legal citizen then the child can have citizenship and does not have to be deported. It isn’t That hard to figure these things out, nor to implement them. We just have to get the buggers in Washington to listen and do what the populace requires if them.

Utah has nothing to lose, it is already hated by the liberals. I personally think the government needs to get out of the welfare business. When these things are done voluntarilly both the giver and the receiver benefit. As it is now Welfare is demanded as a “right”. If people knew the things they received were given out of the goodness of a persons heart and not stolen from them I think the whole dynamic would change .

How dare those Americans sponge-off the US government tax payers? These illegals have the audacity to complain Americans are being given preference over them? What a stupid government we have; federal, state, and local!!!

there are networks of people in communities that will walk you through how to get all the free goodies. the embassies of many countries will send you to them and help actively.

i started noticing a difference in the attitude of the illegal workers coming here around the 90’s.( i work in an industry that is overwhelmingly, sadly, illegal aliens.) there’s a distinct generational difference. in the 80s, when i started, there were many people coming from places like el salvador and colombia , both in the midst of civil war. most of them went through the proper channels, were granted asylum or green cards and were thrilled to be here- hard workers who were, like my family , ashamed at the thought of charity/welfare. they all became citizens in the 90s . no one was more angry and patriotic then these guys on 9/11- that was the sort of terrorism they had come here to get away from.

then new waves of workers started coming who were distinctly hostile to america. south and central america had become far more socialized by this time but still poor and oppressive despite all the glorious worker revolutions. they seemed more bent on working the system and getting stuff rather than working for it. they were acting like they were owed and america was responding accordingly. in all honesty while not completely ascribing to the ‘ jobs americans won’t do’ motif through the 90s the americans i was seeing tromp through for jobs had a distinctly sucky work ethic based on imperious feelings of entitlement. they’d go to culinary school for 4 years, be unable to bake so much as a muffin, and expect to be crowned pastry princess beneath a shower of money. immigrants of all sorts were the better bet for getting a superior worker eager to learn. but now the illegals were acting like the americans-entitled brats , actively mollycoddled by the system. it’s the la raza generation created by the ranting loony tyrants south of the boarder and enabled by liberal american politicians and policies.

it is true- cut off the government teat and they will self deport- especially if all the states start following the laws of the country as they are written. every one i’ve seen turn up on the government radar, often after decades, goes home where your tax money may have helped buy them a nice condo or house.
