Some Muslims question mosque near ground zero

Maynard adds:

In this year’s greeting, Mr. Obama said the rituals of Ramadan “remind us of the principles that we hold in common and Islam’s role in advancing justice, progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings. Ramadan is a celebration of a faith known for great diversity and racial equality. And here in the United States, Ramadan is a reminder that Islam has always been part of America and that American Muslims have made extraordinary contributions to our country.”

Is there any factual basis for Mr. Obama’s assertion of America’s great Muslim history? This Washington Times editorial clarifies the sharp divergence between reality and Obama’s politically correct fantasy.

Finally, this YouTube powerful rant by Pat Condell says it all about the mosque controversy.

I’m guessing the sentiment expressed by these few people would be repeated thousands of times if ALL the families and friends of 9-11 victims were heard. We can’t do anything that might offend the sensibilities of these people, yet they want to stick their thumb in our eye like this? They sure as hell wouldn’t try it if Reagan were in the Oval office instead of Urkel.

This whole thing was my last straw. I now have a blog: The maiden post is my take on this whole mess.

Wow angela… that’s a great blog. He sort of *is* our abusive spouse isn’t he? It’s not hard to visualize him in a wife beater with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth and a beer in his lap.

Way to go lady. It sounds like you have emerged from the forge of life tempered, sharp and tough. Keep holding them by the nose and kicking them in their donkey (ass).

      great post!
you are to be admired for your personal victory and applauded for its current application to this hot mess we have to push through! and like you did, we will all emerge victorious.

Kind of strange that Howard Dean is to the right of Chris Christie on this issue. I feel like I’ve just entered the Twilight Zone. Here come Jack Klugman and Burgess Meredith.

I want to read a book “Nomad…” by this same author. (Wall Street Journal article).
Like icebergs grinding against each other, our Western way is in competition with other civilizations and it’s not a big easy merge into one, with us the model. This article gives an insight into why Turkey surprised us with their aid of the Flotilla against our friend Israel. We need to know how to fight for our own way, to keep it.

Maynard— No, not even a little. And it would be nice if Obama were challenged on this by someone. Simply ask for examples of all these glorious attributes he’s assigning them.

Thanks for the link on this Tammy. Heard it when I listened to your show (yep…I get them a day behind), and thought it would be great for my facebook page. I’m getting sick of the guys that are “friends” that are pushing the mosque and how great a hero the guy financing it is.
