Rachael here! Many of you are asking how you can change your password. Over on the right sidebar you will now see a link to “View/Edit Profile.” This is where you can choose your own password and edit your information. Happy to report that things are running smoothly and if you have any issues at all, please contact me and we’ll work through them.

If you haven’t received your password email yet, don’t worry! They’ll be going out throughout the day.

**Tammy Note Wednesday morning: The upgrade is complete! I see many comments that you have been able to get it. Yes, it’s a little different. Notice you now sign in with your email and yet your display name is still the same. That’s one of the things we were working on. Also, when you get your password email, log out of the blog, then log back in with the new password. Do not just go into your WordPress profile as logged in with the old pw and input it in there. It won’t work that way. Log out, log in, then go into your profile and change your password to whatever you want 🙂 Please feel free to comment here with comments and suggestions, or email rachael @ tammybruce.com **

Hi TAMs! I’m Rachael, brought on to the TAM Team to help facilitate this much needed subscriber service upgrade. We’ve been really busy and have taken care to address most of the issues we expect to arise, and all of us have really appreciated your patience.

We have now implemented the upgrade and there are a few things you need to know. First, this upgrade affects everyone who has signed into the blog in any way–TAMs and free commenters as well.

Now, in order to protect your privacy during this subscription transition, we had to reset everyone’s passwords. We’re in the process of sending out emails to all the TAMs and free comment subscribers with those new temporary passwords. Until you receive this email, you will NOT be able to log into your account. We apologize for the downtime, but it should be minimal. Those emails have to be sent out in batches so depending on where you are it will affect when you get notified. The email will likely indicate it’s from Tammy, so look for it and watch your spam folder too just in case.

So, please wait until you receive the email, then follow the instructions outlined in that email. I’m thinking you should expect this process to go overnight, FYI. If it hits your earlier, great, but approach it as though you need to give it until the morning.

Please note: There are 7 TAMs we need to verify PayPal information for. We will post an update once the transition is complete. After that (not before!), if you have not received your password via email and successfully logged into your account, please contact me at rachael @ tammybruce.com and we’ll work out your issue.

Okay, due to the upgrade there will not be a 3rd Hour tonight. It just conflicts with the transition, premium posting, etc. Now, even though you will need to get that temp password once the whole technical process is done, you can still read the blog. Once you are unable to sign in (because the new service had to assign you a new pw) it just means you won’t be able to comment on posts or access any TAM media. That’s when you should keep an eye out for that email with your new pw. Rachael and I will be here though the process and will be watching it carefully. Thanks 🙂

Update 1140pm PT: Tammy here. TAMs, you may find that you can still “sign in” but don’t have access to premium material. That’s normal, and an indication that the upgrade is underway. At a certain point the system will not accept your old password, that’s when you’ll need to wait for the email with the new password. You will then need to sign out of the blog and then sign in with the new password.
