Welcome to ObamaWorld. Yes, the Obamas are in India. They planned for this, have a staff of thousands, and really looked forward to visiting the Gandhi museum. Then they signed the guest book. And MObama actually misspells Gandhi’s name as “Ghandi.” Not. Kidding. It’s not like she didn’t have time to figure it out or maybe even just look at her husband’s little note to see how he spelled it. Instead, she spells it wrong and then writes over it. Look, if you’re going to India and care about human rights you learn about Gandhi. At least give the impression you thought about this by learning how to spell the man’s name. And one other thing to notice–they both write the date in the European style. How nice.
And what’s with MObama’s handwriting in general? A close analysis with psychiatric considerations seems to be in order as it is shaky and very disjointed. These two could be interesting and valid subjects for Dr. Bruce’s doctoral dissertation…that is if dissertations should last for a month or more.

As for Olympia Snowe, there are rumors circulating around Maine that she will not run again. I can assure you that I have my fingers crossed.

Did they say gravy flavored potato chips? Gravy? Maybe…maybe after consuming mass quantities of beer, but listening to that description over morning coffee…in the words of my girlfriend…’ICK’. Michabelle does have interesting handwriting….well you know she does put loonngg back breaking hours working in her garden, her penman ship obviously suffers from calloused hands. As for the spelling, in the words of Nelson from the Simpsons, ‘Ha haa’.
let’s not forget Gillibrand in NY. Word was no Dem wanted to spend $20 million to beat her cause the term is only for two years (replacing HRC) and then would need another $20 million to do it again in 2012. Some star-struck Dem may just try to pick her off in 2 years. Would be nice to think that the GOP/Conservatives in NY are already setting up a winning scenario, but that would require them to stop trying to grab power from each other and provide a united front. Ha. Might as well wish for no snow in Buffalo.
Surely there is a handwriting expert among the TAMS who could provide us with some insight into the notes left by BHO & MO? And what’s with the European style of writing the date? Isn’t 11-6-10 the way Americans write a date?
FWIW, Rush is supposed to interview Dubya today at 1:06 ET on his show. The topic will be Dubya’s autobiography. I’m expecting mostly softballs but perhaps Rush can smoke Dubya out of the trees in regards to Juanny Reb, Sarah Palin, the Tea Party movement, etc.
Did he apologize to the Indians for the White Man forcing them to leave their homes on the Trail of Tears?
Did he ask where he could buy a turquoise bracelet?
Obama and I have something in common: we write the dates the same way. I’m not European, I just like it that way. That’s also the way the military writes dates.
However, Michelle’s handwriting is ugly! And those smudges, ewww.
Chuck, I like to write the date like that too, the military way. But no one writes it the way MObama did. When I do numbers only, it month, day, year.
Writing the date in military fashion (or European style) became a habit after working a few years for a European gentleman. It is also convenient to use a 24 hr clock when writing times because you don’t need to remember appending AM or PM. After a few years of writing that way, you just do it out of habit.
As for Michelle’s handwriting: immature and ugly. I’ve seen better writing from left-handed fourth graders. Even worse is over-writing mistakes. Perhaps the White House staff should make her practice writing her statement several hundred times before signing a guest book.
OK, I get it that miltary folks may write the date in that style, but it doesn’t explain why BHO does it. His “international” upbringing? hmm, maybe, a bit elitist for an American POTUS, and that still doesn’t explain Chicago-bred MO’s choice of style. Is she trying to impress someone? Very disappointing to see her sloppy and careless work. Surely she was prepared beforehand and knew her words would be used to bring her glory as her choice of clothing does. As a mom so concerned about what all our children eat, one would have thought she would take extra pains to demonstrate a neat and careful penmanship which also goes with a well-rounded, healthy and self-disciplined personality. But what do I know.
i write the date in the ‘ european style”. i also have trouble with the position of the letter H in non-french words because it’s never annunciated in french. just what are you suggesting? that i am just like Urkel and Murkelle?

unless i’m doing art work of a sort my handwriting has gone to hell mostly due to computer use. i specifically bought fountain pens- which require more attention and control- to get a hold on it.
i am sure urkel found these words by gandhi a source of comfort:
