See below why the HomoBear is today’s defense against the New Thought Police

Due to the subject matter I’ve decided to make tonight’s 3rd Hour of Tammy Radio a public podcast. It surrounds the USS Enterprise situation involving “lewd” videos, and the rank hypocrisy with this going on as we’re being told repealing DADT would disrupt “cohesiveness” and morale.

The Navy confronts another ‘Tailgate’

Harmed forces Military leaders who spout slurs belie efforts to halt sexual assaults

USS Enterprise Capt. Owen Honors Temporarily Relieved of Duty

Navy Weighs Firing Chief for Lewd Videos

I tweeted about this tonight, and Sarah Palin then re-tweeted my tweet about the hypocrisy of the situation. I discuss this at length n the 3rd Hour as well. Here’s that exchange:

And what do liberals do who refuse to accept that Palin is a decent woman who is not a homophobe? They pull out the faux outrage over her re-tweeting my tweet because I use the word “homos.” Heh. You keep at it LibProgs, you get your panties all twisted over a word while we save the country. You’re welcome.

I’m so thankful that you didn’t start this podcast with the opening theme from Star Trek.

Completely aside from the DADT issue, I completely agree with Tammy’s take on this. I repeatedly heard on tv last night that there could be a problem with what they would charge him with in a court martial. And I’m thinking what the hell? Haven’t they heard of “conduct unbecoming an officer”? Article 133 of the UCMJ. (“Conduct violative of this article is action or behavior in an official capacity which, in dishonoring or disgracing the person as an officer, seriously compromises the officer’s character as a gentleman, or action or behavior in an unofficial or private capacity which, in dishonoring or disgracing the officer personally, seriously compromises the person’s standing as an officer.”)

I have no doubt that people have been charged under 133 for lesser offenses than this. I saw snippets of that video and felt truly heart-sick, wondering what in the world is happening to our military. For officers to demean themselves and basically abdicate their own authority is disgusting.

The ship’s commander that Capt. Honors was serving under at the time should also be disciplined. I hate the way the Navy always like to throw the small fish overboard and leave the big fish alone.

If they wanted to boost morale they could’ve shown them some old war movies or episodes of Gomer Pyle. The military culture I’m afraid is becoming a little too infected with popular culture. There should a line drawn, it’s a different way of life that must be maintained.

I made several deployments aboard aircraft carriers during my Navy enlistment. My first impression upon hearing about this is how things have sure changed in the 30+ years since I got out. Back then, ship’s commanders and senior officers were responsible adults (or at least appeared to be). They have the tremendous responsibility for 5,000 human lives and billions of dollars worth of hardware, all wrapped up in a warship that is capable of untold destruction.

I’m sure as young 20-somethings we would have laughed at those videos, but I wasn’t a responsible adult then (not sure I’m one now).

I think the captain of that ship is getting what he deserves for a terrible lapse in judgment.

Wow, talk about making an impression….Just saw now at 6:00 pm CST 1/4 there are now 175 news articles on this! Our Tammy is all over the world about this tweet!

this guy is like the parent or teacher that acts like the child’s best friend or drinking buddy instead of the authority figure responsible in particular here for so many young lives in situations of potentially great danger.

it’s one thing for teen aged and 20 something enlisted sailors to act stupid , horny, and disrespectful to one another- something not unique to any sexual orientation. officers are called to higher standards of behavior for a reason- people’s lives depend on it. the defense of the country depends on the example they set and the discipline they instill in their people. ask kathy griffin aboard if you want to provide your men and women with immature, gross, and ‘edgy’ entertainment to ease tension . there are drag shows people would be safer bringing their children to that would be less disruptive to the morals of those present than such a vulgar display of stupid from someone who is charged with knowing better by definition.

and for the record, i fear ‘ the lady’ i. e. the Navy doth protest too much. there was no more active and popular gay male cruising spot in all of new england in the 40s-60’s than the Charlestown Navy Yard- before DADT, before ‘ gay marriage’, before any of the homos were demanding any rights and upsetting the delicate exacting equilibrium, apparently, of the military’s moral balance.
