A fascinating lapse from a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Sen. Schumer, in speaking about raising the debt limit, urged the three branches of government to work together. That is the House, the Senate and the Presidency.

Sen. Schumer complained that the Roberts Court turned back the clock 100 years in the Citizens United decision. Apparently what he really meant was the Supreme Court is no longer relevant as far as he’s concerned.

Okay, so how come those two branches of the government–the US Supreme Court notwithstanding–didn’t believe they had to come together in the past two years when they were spending like crazy and freezing out the Republicans and any ideas they might have–calling them the party of NO? Schumer, like most of these career politicians, has no clue what’s in the US Constitution AND obviously has no idea about the delineations of our government. He is a brilliant argument for repeal of the 17th Amendment!

    Schumer is a moron.

    That is all.

Schumer a moron? But he went to Hah-vahd!!! I guess we need to be reminded about the MSM “rule” — Libprog gaffes are always caused by fatigue (because they are all soooo busy setting the country on fire) and conservative/Tea Party gaffes are always caused by stupidity. 🙁

The image of Justice Samuel Alito mouthing the words “NOT TRUE” comes to mind.

I heard Chucky’s remark this morning and had to rewind the DVR to be sure I wasn’t hallucinating. Nope. That’s what he said. IloiloKano’s observation (above) seems appropriate.

Article I of the Constitution states “all legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and a House of Representatives.” The House and Senate are equal partners in the legislative process––legislation cannot be enacted without the consent of both chambers.

If this Senator had his way, he would make Congress one chamber-with himself as Leader like the Soviet Union’s Politburo once was before it collapsed.

Hmmm…58 states and 4 branches of government. I am detecting a pattern here from those on the left.

Not to change the subject, but has anyone noticed that Mohamed ElBaradei is in Egypt saying he will form a new government with the Muslim Brotherhood? Remember this clown? He was the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)…the bonehead that kept saying Iran was not trying to make atomic weapons? That guy? Now HE’s going to form the new government with a bunch of freekin’ terrorists? WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG? All while the Bamster is sucking his thumb…or wait, heck…maybe he’s helping them set it up!! (I’m seeing a caliphate in our future.)

Someone please tell me…why was a citizen of Egypt – a country we don’t want having nukes – appointed head of the IAEA? Isn’t that almost like making Ingrid Newkirk CEO of Outback Steakhouse?
