Patriot Act extension fails in the House by seven votes

Heh. Boehner: ‘I should be’ considered a member of the Tea Party

Rick: Sarah skips CPAC for C-notes

Here’s the audio/video of Santorum’s comments. I address this extensively in tonight’s “3rd Hour.” I love TRScoop, the source for the audio/video and insistence that Santorum is being given a raw deal, but it concerns me greatly that such petty comments dripping with innuendo could be assessed as a defense of Sarah Palin. Quite remarkable. There’s going to be plenty of Razzle Dazzle by a lot of Establishment Republicans in the next two years. It’s very important that we challenge everyone who slouches into such pettiness.

PolitiFact: President Barack Obama says he didn’t raise taxes once. With “once” being the operative word.

The idea that Obama did not raise taxes is just plain wrong. He signed legislation raising taxes on cigarettes and other tobacco products soon after taking office; that money goes to pay for children’s health insurance programs. The law went into effect in 2009. He also signed the health care law, which includes taxes on indoor tanning that went into effect last year…

Their detailing of the taxes Urkel has raised goes on and on. Read the whole thing.

Great 3rd hour Tammy and thank you very much for the Kitteh Video – started my day off with a smile and with what is going on… that is “Priceless”.

Santorum made a point about Sarah Palin having all those kids to raise and he doesn’t have that responsibility???? He’s the father of seven….HE SHOULD BE HOME!! What a total ass – double standard anyone?

Santorum — the father of seven children — also said that Palin has “other responsibilities,” such as raising her children, that he doesn’t.

“I don’t live in Alaska and I’m not the mother to all these kids and I don’t have other responsibilities that she has,” he said.

My head exploded on that one. Of course, he’s been on my “list” for about a year, when he made reference to her “little” facebook post about death panels or something. At the time, I told my husband that it’s sexism and a “verbal head-pat.” He had no clue what I meant, but every enlightened person in the workforce who has seen one or received one knows what I mean. Santorum is a butthead.

These guys who want to dismiss Sarah Palin and the T-party are often from the new Aristocracy culture of Crony Crapitalism. They are going to be extremely reluctant to lose any access to the trough of tax payer money. A known reformer like Sarah Palin must scare Hell out of them.

I have never been able to stomach Rick Santorum…I think he is homophobic and sexist. I can understand someone not approving of homosexuals because of their religious beliefs. It’s when someone makes the leap to equivocate a consensual sexual relationship between adults of the same sex with sex in the realm of man on dog, man on child or incest that I begin to think there is something wrong at a much deeper level…just saying. Don’t like him…don’t trust him.

It’s being reported that the executive branch, having been bitten by the unfortunate WTF (“winning the future”) acronym, may be transitioning to slogan “B”, “seizing the future”. Seems to me that this, too, has a pitfall. “Seizing The FUture” works out to another unintentionally appropriate acronym, STFU.

As to the Kitteh video–it’s great! It has everything–drama, great music, mystery, violence LOL For the win!!

As a Pennsylvanian, I’ll always remember Rick Santorum as the Semator who endorsed (along with then President George W. Bush) Arlen Specter when the much more conservative Pat Toomey ran against him a few elections back. Because of that endorsement I did not vote for Santorum, and I guess a whole lot of other folks didn’t either because he lost his seat.

I think he’s just another one of those arrogant political types who throw a lot of crap at the wall and some of it sticks and a whole lot of it just smells really, really bad.

    Sarah Palin crushes him.
