The first two Palin Lounges were a big hit, so I’ve decided to make them a regular feature of Tammy Blog. Every Tuesday and Thursday will have a “Palin Lounge” with the Saturday “Palin Report” podcast posting serving as the weekend Lounge. These Lounges will remain open and updated on off-days so they will serve all Palinistas Mon-Wed-Fri as well.

This Palin Lounge will update through the day. Scroll down for additional links and commentary. And as with the other Lounges, the usual no-links rule is lifted due to the nature of lounging and sharing 🙂 Comments including links, however, will still be moderated.

So let’s start!

ABC: Report: Sarah Palin to Visit Sudan in July

We’ll see 🙂 Independent UK: Sarah Palin unlikely to get an audience with Margaret Thatcher

Whether Bachmann be Stalking Horse or patsy, this makes sense. Rollins only real job will be to try to provoke Palin and get her off message. Ain’t gonna happen Eddie. Politico: Bachmann strategist blasts Palin: ‘Not serious’

With the Sudan trip scheduled for next month, she may hold off her announcement until that trip is over. As to whether she waits until Labor Day, it depends on if she thinks the Iowa debate/straw poll on August 11/13 is important.

When Gov. Palin made the comment about not needing a title to make a difference in her recent interview with Hannity, was she sending a strong message to MB? Hmmmm …..

  2. otlset says:

Tammy you find the prettiest pictures of Sarah! I have a hard time looking away.

  3. Palin2012 says:

NPR defends Palin? It was obviously painful and unintentional. Listen to the host Melissa Block question Robert Allison, a professor and historian at Suffolk University, . She doesn’t want to believe it “Are there other historians, Professor, whom you’ve talked with who say you’re being entirely too charitable towards Sarah Palin here, and she really did misread American… Allison interrupts:

I haven’t talked to many – well, I don’t know. I mean, I haven’t talked to too many historians today. And, you know, Sarah Palin is a lightning rod. I just was thinking about how many times, you know, I’ve spoken about Paul Revere. I’ve organized events about the American Revolution. No one ever pays any attention. Suddenly, Sarah Palin comes to town, makes an off-the-cuff remark about what she learned, and suddenly, you’re calling me to find out what I think about Paul Revere and the American Revolution.

here’s another one: At 5:00 – Bernie Goldberg accuses Palin of mangling the Paul Revere story…O’Reilly reluctantly corrects him. http://fxn.ws/j7v1DR

      • Kimj7157 says:

I usually like Bernie Goldberg. Shame on him for assuming all the media critics were right and for not knowing the full story behind Paul Revere before making his “mangled” comment. Hopefully a lesson learned by someone who should have known better.

He did make a good point about how Brian Williams wouldn’t report on Weinergate because there were “more compelling” stories–apparently like Sarah Palin talking about Paul Revere. The liberal media is so transparent.

    • RuBegonia says:

Best nugget on this subject! Thx Palin2012.

    • Artgal says:

Palin’s purpose for the bus tour was to focus on our nation’s history. She accomplished it! Since when has there been so much focus on Paul Revere’s ride, who he was, what was going on, etc.?

I think she should continue these tours so there will be more opportunities for people to cling to every word she says and get reconnected with our nation & our unique history. Plus, it’s fun to watch those who hate her continue their personal journey into the abyss.

  4. larrygeary says:

That article in the UK Independent is 10% fact, 90% attack. The comments are even worse. I’m passed the point of being able to tolerate this BS.

  5. jap81 says:

Interesting note: My local morning news out here in good old California reported on the ABC/Washington Post Poll saying that Romney is beating Obama 49-47. They also reported that Sarah Palin is trailing Obama by 17 points and that 67% said they would not vote for her in the general election. Hmmm…wonder why they would just report the results for Palin and not any other potential candidates. : )

  6. BostonBruin says:

My feeling is that if she announces before the Sudan/England trip, then they’ll be a lot more attention covering her visits and the focus will be on her – which is not her style.

  7. sodakhic says:

Now some liberal congressman is wondering if Sarah is getting special treatment from the National Park Service. What next? Love Steve Bannons interview with Monica Crowley. Also love your defense of Sarah, Tammy. You rock. I had a feeling today that Sarah was going to make a surprise visit to Mt Rushmore. Gas up the car and be ready to head to the mountain.

  8. niner says:

Bill O Relly gleefully posted his poll of who would you vote for, Sarah Palin or michelle Bockman, 60,000 votes, 60% Michelle 40% Sarah. They waited an extra day becuause they didnt have the results they wanted, and that gave an extra day for thrspammers, The left wing loons that hate Sarah to weigh in. That has to be one of the most bogus polls I have ever seen, real elections arent even anywhere like that, give me a break, BOR shouldnt even post something that bizzare. Most people dont even know who Bachmann is outside of Politicos.

    • Nativevoice says:

I am sorry but BOR is flat out lying. Of all the polls that have been taken by the left in the last week heck the last three weeks Palin has in everyone led Bachmann. Smells fishy to me.

The media ride of Sarah Palin: The left does not revere history

Revere warned the British? The tut-tutting was immediate. Reporters and commentators, having griped for days about being given insufficient courtesies on Mrs. Palin’s East Coast bus tour, had a field day. One if by land, two thousand by tweet.

It soon turned out, however, that Mrs. Palin’s version of history was correct. While Revere warned the Americans that the British were coming, he also warned the British – not for their benefit – that the Americans were coming.

….As for the bells and gunshots, David Hackett Fischer – in the 1994 book “Paul Revere’s Ride” – quotes a townsman saying that on that night, “repeated gunshots, the beating of drums and the ringing of bells filled the air.”

  16. otlset says:

When I first heard some time ago that Michelle Bachmann was interested in running for president I was really taken by surprise (wtf?). I realized this would set her up for a collision course with Sarah Palin, her erstwhile ‘ally’, should Sarah decide to run as I’ve always expected.

Bachmann? Really? For president now out of a clear blue sky (I thought then)?

I believe the genesis of this new behavior was that Bachmann was overcome with the intensity of the unbridled adulation that Palin got when they both campaigned together (for Bachmann’s re-election) and was hooked — she wanted this kind of charismatic energy for herself. To that end I think Bachmann, by pushing herself ingratiatingly as a Tea Party “favorite”, complete with her not-so-successful “Tea Party Caucus” formation, tried to usurp for herself the results of Sarah Palin’s hard work over the past few years that dovetailed with the Tea Party rise.

And now Bachmann’s ‘treachery’ has deepened with her hiring of the CNN “conservative” shill Ed Rollins, who immediately jumps on the bash Palin express with his smug insults. Yes, I know what the two say in public. But I’m paying attention to what Bachmann is actually doing, and I am assuming what she has authorized her little hard-boiled egg Rollins to say.

I used to like and admire Michelle Bachmann. No more.

  17. niner says:

Im finished with the backstabbing Bachmann, I wrote her an e-mail and stated such, as many have over at C4Palin. Rollins is flamethrowing punk!

Tammy keep up the good work on your Palin lounge, perhaps some Tiki lounge music to go with it, Rhino records (no not that RINO) had several volumes of CDs, called cocktail mix-Martini Madness, they are compilations of assorted artists in that jondura If you arent aware of it check it out. You do a good service with Sarah Palin news and your takes on Sarah are right on!

  19. JuanitaDugas says:

I visit SarahPac often for updates and loved the short clip titled “The American Spirit” where Sarah talks about American Foundations and how much she got out of the bus tour visiting all those inspiring historical sites while encouraging all Americans to do the same. There I followed a link to Conservatives4Palin and enjoyed reading a Round Up of Reviews of “The Undefeated”. One particularly caught my eye by Tony Lee at Human Events: “The movie’s ending, like the movie itself, seems more like an end of the beginning of something greater that’s coming on the horizon.” Almost as though Tony had heard rumors of the coming “omelette shop” ;JD GAME ON

  20. ecu22331963 says:

I understand the meaning now; Sarah Palin is Paul Revere and ‘the British are coming’ are the Conservatives coming to Washington DC in 2012.
