Due to the release of what seems strangely like a campaign ad relating to her trips to Iowa I thought it was time for a Lounge addressing the politics, news, and Palin happenings. As with other Lounges, the “no link” rule is lifted in the name of Lounging and Sharing 🙂

UPDATE: The Palin Report has posted. Click here for direct linkage. Peter Singleton, the Palinista in Iowa, is my Special Guest. That interview will post as a public podcast FYI.

Here’s that new ad–watch to the very end where she notes she’ll be back to Iowa on September 3rd.

Really? I think the next president may have something to say about this. US troops may stay in Afghanistan until 2024

What Morris failed to ‘tweet’ is that he’s been secretly reading my posts here since the first part of June and finally came around to agree with ‘The Dennisl59 Prediction’. Just sayin’ 😉

      • Dragon Lady says:

        Dammit, Dennis,

Don’t you know Dick Morris “sways in the wind”?

He’s the NEW “Tricky Dicky”. (Remember, he’s played both sides of the aisle, and that’s a person that usually can’t make up their mind OR want to hedge their bets.)

And, that paragon of facts, Michael Savage (almost threw up, there) is saying that Trump wants “in” as an independent so he can take the votes from Sarah, put the Dumb Bastard in, then get the casino enterprise that Crybaby Rahm needs to “save” Chicago.

Palin/Rubio Press Secretary: Tammy the Bruce; Mark Levin-Att’y. Gen’l; DOD: West (?), etc. (TBA)

This Dick is a piece of work, while only Tuesday he was on Hannitys radio show and said Palin isnt running and if she did it would be a mistake, he said Bachmann has the Republican women all rapped up. HuH, this man is bizarre, hey Dick stay off the meds, you keep changing your tune.

He’s a real ‘Political Rocket Scientist’ isn’t he? /sarc. The only thing I give him credit for, however, is predicting the November 2010 Congressional Landslide in the House. Now, if only the US Senate had gone our way…

Thanks Ru, for posting this, it just goes to show you, he DOES talk out both sides of his mouth!

There is a theory out there that Dick Morris is pro-Romney – perhaps even getting paid by Romney to trash Gov. Palin – and the Romney people want her in the race now to take out Rick Perry. Or perhaps he has seen the obvious. Of course, once she announces, Morris will be saying over and over “she’s unelectable”.

She’s here, she’s clear, get used to it!

    • ShArKy666 says:

just like obastard rolled rite over morris’ prediction of 2008 that clinton would win, i think PALIN will destroy the corrupt rove establishment and win in 2012 if we all stand behind her and take control of the almost defunct GOP…lets hope 🙂

Hi Ru! Just listened to your message for TB – I LOVE the production value! Most excellent. As for DM’s prediction for Sarah announcing on 9/3, interesting what someone said on FreeRepublic – something to the effect of, Sarah said she wouldn’t be coming in to Iowa as a candidate…doesn’t mean she won’t be LEAVING as one. We shall see. Cheers!

I can’t help remembering that Sarah Palin promised a guy in Alaska, she would announce her run for president on his show. It was either a TV show or Radio show. Someone she is familiar with. Does anyone else remember that?

    • he he, I do:) Maybe she will have a live feed to their studio during her announcement. Once she tells the crowd that she is live on the phone with the DJ from the radio station people will go nuts:) or maybe she has them on stage with her:) who knows!?

    • mediachristian says:

      I remember!

    • Dragon Lady says:

      Yes, Tamcat,

She told a radio station guy in Anchorage that she would announce first on their show due to her loyalty to Alaska, and then, officially, later, somewhere else.

I keep remembering the 29th of August (Monday) as the date mentioned.

Side note: Rush is away for his yearly late August golf tour in Hawaii, and is due to return to the air on that same day (8/29).

When Snerdley told him he should take the rest of that week, also, since it was pre-Labor Day, Rush said something to the effect: I’m not comfortable taking two weeks in a row off, and anyway, big news usually happens IF I do, and I don’t want to miss THAT.

Very cryptic, AND the ONLY person he has in any way spoken hopefully/positively about AND defended, has been…..wait for it…..SARAH!

I remember it too tamcat. It was a radio station in Anchorage, I think and the guys names are Mark and Bob. It’ll be interesting to see how this all takes place but with Sarah Palin, whatever it will be and however she handles it, it’ll be off the charts explosive!! LOL

  7. makeshifty says:

Agree about the O’Donnell interview. If she didn’t want to talk about what Piers was asking her, she shouldn’t have put it in her book. She might’ve also been clueless about the venue, just as she displayed bad judgment (which she admitted to) with the “I’m not a witch” ad. She wanted to talk about a new vision for the country, but all he wanted to talk about is social issues. That’s what he’s into. His show is not that deep, in case she didn’t notice. Unfortunately I think O’Donnell is out of her depth. She seems to be fine dealing with ordinary people, which is a plus, but she keeps stumbling badly with the media. She can’t be in such a high profile position as Senator if she can’t navigate those waters.

  8. dennisl59 says:

PART 1: We’ll find out soon enough, I suppose, who the creative geniuses are that created and produced this Presidental Campaign Video. Good “Major” Key bed music, very U2-ish. The camera focus is perfect;eye popping vivid. Worth every nickle in my opinion. The entire compositon gave you a real sense of what it was like to actually be ‘right there with her’ at the Iowa State Fair. The only thing missing were the smells of the Midway food stands! (That’ll be v2.0, it’s in Alpha testing)

The “Great Awakening” (Reagan) comment with her fist clenched. THAT is a brillant edit. Her empathic statements, charisma. It’s difficult to be objective if you’re a Palinista when you watch this because you know(in your heart) she’s exactly as she’s shown to be: unpretentous, comfortable in her own skin, etc.

And the final icing? The Standing, Roaring Grizzly Bear. What an image! Nothing but net at the buzzer for the win!

PART 2: Until September 3rd, we should watch(I never get tired of it anyway! LOL!) The soon to be referred to “President Palin’s Historic Madison Tea Party Speech”:

    http://www.palintv.com/2011/04/16/governor-palins-speech-at-tea-party-rally-in-madison-wi-april-16-2011/

“The 2012 election begins HERE!…Mister President? GAME ON!”

PART 3: Now let’s have some FUN!.
Who will introduce Sarah Palin at the Tea Party Rally in Iowa?
    a) Andrew Breitbart
    b) Tammy Bruce
    c) Paul Ryan
    d) Hillary Clinton(just kidding…)
    e) Mark Levin

As usual, if Palin and others don’t ‘fit’ their East Coast Liberal Establishment template/image of a “Feminist”, they are invalid, unworthy, unaccomplished women. The closest analogy is Conservative Blacks, example: Clarence Thomas, et al. and how they’re also putdown as “Not Real”

About the ad: I have to say, I LOVE the grizzly bear at the end of the ad. It reminds me of why I help organize our local bunch of tea party activists — tapping into my “Mama Grizzly” to protect my son’s future. But how will YOU know she’s going to announce? Say your either watching the stream or standing in the audience at the Tea Party Rally on September 3rd, OK?

This is how: She walks onto the stage to ORIGINAL INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC written specifically for her as a campaign theme. Why? She already has the iconic Grizzly Bear as the Visual, now she needs the Audio. I just love to WAG these things! LOL!

Love seeing GOP machine hacks strapping on Depends and popping Beano (for gas). Dick Morris is slime. Clearly he’s working for Bachmann; he’s been pushing her from day one and, in his pretend role as an objective commentator, called the winner of the Fox GOP Debate for — guess who? — yep, Bachmann. He also claimed months ago that Sarah Palin didn’t have a chance in hell of winning the nomination. Ooppsies — Dickie joining the irrelevant club with Rove, O’Reilly, Ingraham, York, Krauthammer. Good — let them be swept away by the tidal wave of change. They can keep trying to cling to their branch floating in the ocean while they contemplate how they tried to stand in the way of positive change. But, a paradigm shift whose time has come is bigger than all of those stooges. They would be wise to finally get out of the way or join the save the second American Revolution.

Today’s Palin Report was spot on. Love the interview with Peter Singleton during the report. I am so envious of all the tea party folks able to attend. I dare the tea party or CA4P hold a tea party rally in SoCal during this campaign season. I attended the 10/10/10 rally in Oceanside because I was sure, as were thousands of other, that Gov. Palin would make an appearance because she was at the San iego Convention center the evening before for a speakinf engagement with some rascally republicans here. I met several great folks there anyway. It was a nice day, and a great ride up from from the south bay.

News Flash!: Michelle Bachmann unconsciously removes herself as a candidate for the Republican Nomination but gets awarded the ‘Top Seller” Yellow Blazer from Century 21 instead.
She doesn’t notice as the song “Turn out the lights(the party’s over)” is played while she signs autographs and shakes hands.

    John Wayne/John Wayne Gacy confusion:
6/27: “I want them to know just like John Wayne is from Waterloo Iowa, that’s the spirit I have too,” Bachmann said Sunday on Fox News. “It’s embracing America. It’s sacrificing for America.”

Elvis Has Left the Building(or ‘has’ he?)
8/16: Spartanburg, South Carolina: Mixes Elvis’ Death and Birthdays.
“The congresswoman from Minnesota played the Elvis tune Promised Land on Tuesday at a restaurant in Spartanburg, and told the crowd of 300 that she wanted to say happy birthday to the king of rock ’n’ roll.
But August 16 is the anniversary of Elvis’s death, in 1977, and someone in the crowd shouted back, “He died today!” Bachmann didn’t respond and launched into her speech

And a pack ‘o smokes for a Buck, too!:
8/17 “Under President Bachmann you will see gasoline come down below $2 per gallon again,” she said in Greenville(South Carolina). “That will happen.”

Did anybody just see John Fund from Amereican Spectator predict that PALIN won’t run? According to Fund, she will spend the next several years trying to build a grass roots organization… He also said that she will come out and put her support behind Perry! That’s some kind of prediction in light of everything going on?

  24. dennisl59 says:

    This Just In!

Our operative reports that after Ed Rollins received a cellphone call, he spit out his vodka, threw his glass against the wall and then went to the pay phone in the back of the lounge and made a call. The only words heard were ‘Huntsman’, ‘Tea Party’, ‘Bachmann’ and ‘Vice President’. Everything else was the sounds of groaning. He then came back to his table in the corner, ordered a Triple Vodka (neat), lit up a Lucky Strike and face-palmed.

Then some joker punched up “Highway to He**” by AC/DC on the Jukebox.

    Prediction: Bachmann OUT by Christmas.

After Gov Palin announces, we need to be prepared to call the LSM out on every distortion of her policies and platform. They certainly can’t compare Obama’s disastrous record to her very successful record as Gov so they will misrepresent her positions. (Dragging Levi and Kathy Griffin out in front of the cameras just won’t hack it anymore. The AK anklebiter bloggers will also be obsolete.)
The only thing they can do is distort and spin her platform. We’ll need to keep fire extingushers by our keyboards to put out the flames. Tammy will need a football helmet to wear during her broadcasts to contain the head explosions. Also required are the steel-toed combat boots for mega butt kicking. LOL!!
