**UPDATE Tuesday, 9/6: Here’s the video of Coulter on O’Reilly tonight headlined by RCP as “Ann Coulter: Sarah Palin The “Obama Of The Tea Party.” I will comment on this on Wednesday’s Tammy Radio. **

Okay everyone, here’s the official Lounge for the 9/3 Iowa Tea Party rally. As with all Lounges, the “no link” rule is lifted. Here’s the deal: TAMs Sally and Patricia Smiley (Palin2012) will be holding a 2×4 TAM banner (Created by Patricia. See above!) at the entry of the rally grounds so we can all hook up. The TAM Meetup will be later that evening, so we can make sure everyone has a chance to get from one place to the next. Be open-minded to winging it in case everyone wants to have the meetup right away depending on what happens at the rally. I also do not expect to be out of pocket at any point, but that may happen, so I need all attendees to be flexible.

For those at home, TAM Chat will be live starting at 830am PT (10:30am CT). The rally itself goes from 11am-2pm, and chat will be open through the event.

In addition to Patricia Smiley and Sally, ArtGal and Honey will be there, Ruben (1GOPKid) and Rob_W will also be there. If you are attending, please let us know in Comments here so I have a sense of who I will be able to meet and who to look for 🙂 Please stay in touch with Twitter on your phone or other device, and you can leave messages in Comments right here for us as well. I will likely be Tweeting and I’ll make sure between us we’ll have know what’s happening.

Thanks for being flexible and I think Saturday’s going to be great!

Yeah!! Chat’s gonna be open!! Thanks Tammy!! Wishing all of you a safe trip and good times!! Can we dis Friday so it will be Saturday already? LOL Y’all have fun and enough for all of us who couldn’t make the trip!! 🙂

  2. Ginger says:

Thanks for the info, and I plan to be there on Saturday. I’ll be looking for that Tam sign!

  3. mediachristian says:

You all have fun! I’m dogsitting for friends here in SoCal, and even if not, I’m so broke I couldn’t get out of sight if it took a quarter to go around the world…so going to Iowa would’ve been a little tough. If we ever have an event in SoCal, I’m so there!

My comfort is that I know between Tammy and the TAMs, and Twitter and Chat, we’ll be well represented. Everyone who’s going, pleeeeeeeeeease be safe.

    • angelaisms says:

I will also not be there — I will be flying in the other direction, from Salt Lake to Portland, Oregon, and then back home the next day. But I am happy to send prayers and vibes toward Iowa! 🙂 Also, in the same vein as mediachristian — if we have a TAM event in Honolulu in the next few years, I’m totally there!

  4. CMill says:

I expect to be there also with the family.

  5. ReardenSteel says:

Great seal Tammy, I love it! Everyone travel safe to Iowa and have a great time. Hope to see plenty of TAMS in chat Saturday.

  6. Chuck says:

I love the banner!!!! Make yourself be noticed on TV!!!!!

    Have fun everyone!

I’m driving in from St. Louis and will be in Des Moines Friday around 4PM. Will be at C4P meet up that evening and of course, the rally on Saturday. Can’t wait to meet you Tammy and fellow TAMs.

I’m 5’4″ w/curly red hair. Geez. this is sounding like a personal ad 🙂 LOL What I mean to say is that I’m typically not difficult to pick out out in a crowd.

@shellymurray on twitter to reach me.

Time for bed if I’m going to be good for a road trip in the a.m.

Shellym, I’m in Indinaola tonight! My husband and I drove from Kansas City, about a 3 1/2 hour very nice drive. There is a great little Mexican food restaurant here. I felt like I have died and gone to heaven. I’m very excited about tomorrow. I will look for curly red hair! I brought some poster board and markers, so if I can get it together in the morning, I’ll make a sign or two, and maybe one saying TAM!

    • Tall eerie gaunt and pale Satanist, seeking hapless virgins. Fear of the dark and reptiles highly desirable. Tendency toward emitting repeated piercing shrieks an absolute must. Photo not required but requesting an audio recording of the piercing shriek. LOL 🙂

  8. Rob_W says:

Hi everyone – I’m already here getting Iowa warmed up for you. Drove up today (9/1) and got a great sense of the heartland – “what it’s all about”, and so appropriate driving through St. Louis being greeted by the magnificent Gateway Arch. Downtown Des Moines is absolutely beautiful with the State Capitol’s golden dome all lit up at night.

Driving up to Boone, IA tomorrow to ride the train on the Iowa Scenic Valley Railroad, then back here for the C4P meet-up.

This country is worth saving, and save it we will! Safe travels 🙂

      • Ladybug13USA says:

CNN is supposed to carry the speech also so if CSPAN cuts it we can switch to CNN. I heard that it was going to be broadscast 12-3pm EST.The speech will be around 1pm CST so thats 2 pm EST. Its 11am PST. I am setting my DVR for 9am PST. Hope I can catch it all.

Labor Day Weekend+The latest unemployment stats+Sarah Palin=I predict she will deliver a Historic Speech of Epic proportion in front of an audience of over 28,000 people. 27. sandyl says:

My husband and I will be there. We are driving tomorrow AM from Omaha, NE. Like Rosebude, we probably can’t stay long after rally, but will also try to be flexible. This is our first BIG rally, so it should be fun. We are not on twitter, but will also take any advice, suggestions from TAMs. It will be fun to meet TAMs.

  28. LJZumpano says:

Excellent banner Patricia. Happy vibs to all the TAMs going to Iowa. We hold you all in our hearts as you bring our good wishes to GovPalin. We’ll be following you and expect all the details when you return home. With pictures, plenty of pictures!
    ENJOY!!! ♥

  29. Trish S says:

  31. CMill says:

What time will Sally and Patricia be there? We are likely going to get there a little early, so we don’t want to miss them.

  32. Ladybug13USA says:

It seems that the twitter hashtag the TAMS will be using tomorrow will be #IA. Other Palinistas are using #IATP.

    Quick Hits:

    1) Saw a quick glimpse of the TAM Banner! Yeah!
    2) Knew Palin wouldn’t announce when I saw the venue(the physical stage) and
more importantly-How she was dressed. She’d wear a tailored suit imho.
    3) This was a payback to the local Tea Party Organizers.
    4) Spent alot of time meeting people and signing autographs afterwards.
    5) Best Line, “Polls are for strippers and firemen”! Now THAT is hilarious!

Love the banner/logo!! Somebody got creative! I missed the announcement about chat being open; sorry I missed it. 🙁 I hope to see video later of the event & Palin’s speech. Hope everybody had fun!

  36. sandyl says:

Hi TAMs. My husband and I just got back from the teaparty rally. We couldn’t stay for the TAM meetup 🙁 had to get back home. It was totally AWESOME!!!!!!!

As soon as we arrived, it started pouring rain, and really didn’t stop until Sarah came out. So my husband and I (even tho we had hats, umbrellas and ponchos, still got soaked), but it was still great. Just before Sarah came out I spotted Tammy in the crowd and introduced my husband and myself toTammy. Tammy is so friendly and AWESOME too!!!!!! She sat with the crowd, and looked absolutely beautiful (as always). When Sarah’s amazing speech was done, my husband and I asked Nicole Coulter if she could take a picture of us with Tammy–AWESOME!! Nicole Coulter, super nice, used to live in NE and, yes, was AWESOME!!! 🙂

Then we made our way through the crowd to meet Sarah. It was a large crowd, but we got to “meet” her for a second. Since it had been raining so much, I had taken my Thought Police book and Sarah’s books back to the car, so they wouldn’t get wet, so I didn’t get Tammy’s or Sarah’s signature on the books. So I had her sign my NE4P t-shirt 🙂 and I told her that I was a proud Grizzly Hobbit, and she laughed and said “I still don’t know what that hobbit comment meant.” Then my husband was taking pix, but wasn’t able to get one of us with Sarah because of the crowd, so before we left he stuck his hand out for her to sign and she did. Then I asked her if I could shake the hand of the next President and she didn’t show any expression, she just shook my hand. Can I say it again—-AWESOME!!!

Her speech was (as Tammy said, a Great Campaign Speech) and it was. Well I have wet clothes to wash, but it was a perfect day for us (plus on the way home we were able to stop and get a Chik Fil-A 🙂 Later TAMs!!

    • JuanitaDugas says:

Thanks for sharing your day at the Iowa Tea Party rally in such descriptive terms; felt like I was there with you Sandyl. To meet Tammy and Sarah both in one day makes it truly an awesome day worth the drive I’ll bet. Take a picture of your husband’s hand before he washes it. ;JD

  37. Ginger says:

Hey everyone, my husband and I got back from Indianola about an hour ago. I’m so sorry I missed meeting Tammy and the tams. I looked for the booth, and kind of feel like a dope since I seem to have overlooked it. Anyway, there was some running back and forth to the car, and also hiding out in the information building for a while with a bunch of other people until the second downpour stopped. It’s amazing. Inspite of the drenching rain, people had great attitudes and were laughing. At the info center, they were passing out plastic coverings for us to use as raincoats.

I would say at around 12:30 the rain began to slow down and pretty much stopped it seemed, a little more or less, here and there. When Palin came onstage, the weather had cleared. When the sun started peaking out of the clouds toward the end of her speech, I thought “What a great moment this would be for her to tell us what we wanted to hear.” Alas, it wasn’t time yet.

The crowd was revved up, and I got some good pictures which I’ll try to get posted very soon.

My closing thoughts are this: The rain couldn’t put out the fire of Sarah Palin’s words nor could it dampen the spirit of the crowd.

It was a wonderful and memorable day, and I’m so glad I had a chance to partipate, and I hope that our reports and photos are enjoyed by the Tams!

    • sandyl says:

Ginger, don’t feel bad, we never found the banner either. Just b/4 Palin spoke, I saw Tammy walking in the “reserved seating area” so I went over to see her. We did not go into any of the buildings. I don’t tweet, so I thought I was going to miss everyone. We just got lucky Ginger. Wish we could have met you and other TAMs as well, but we had to get home. Did you have a chance to meet Sarah?

When we got home we started recording CSPAN, and to our pleasant surprise, we saw my husband and me on CSPAN when Sarah signed my shirt. So I am making it into a DVD, so we didn’t get a picture with Sarah, but we have the CSPAN picture.

This was a memorable day and Sarah is so smart to lay out her plan, b/4 she announces. This way the people can get behind her policies b/4 the media tears her and her policies apart.

I don’t do facebook either so I will probably email Tammy with my pix, and she can use any or none.

Sorry for the 2 long posts, but am still flying high on a great day. GAME ON!!!

      • Ginger says:

Sandy, thank you so much for your reply, and I feel so much better now! I kept thinking “What the heck is wrong with me?” ha! I’m so happy that you got to meet Tammy and also that Sarah signed your shirt! Wow!, and you got it on cspan. I didn’t even think about watching cspan. I’ll have to check it out this week-end and see if they do replays. No, I didn’t meet Sarah Palin today. We were at the back on the left hand side. I’m sort of kicking myself for not going down to the front and at least trying for the opportunity. When she was in my hometown (Kansas City) in 2008, just after McCain chose her, I got a sweet little video of her and McCain, standing pretty close to me as I videotaped, waving and smiling at the crowd. They were leaving the building where they had spoken, and going back to their bus. I felt kind of like you did today-that I had really gotten lucky.

I’m still very very confident that she is going to run, and I know she will choose just the right moment to announce.

I was so proud of the people in the crowd today. All of us “hobbits,” “terrorists,” and “racists,” braved that weather because of something and someone we believed in very deeply. We were joyful and happy hearted, and full of REAL hope. When she is officially in the game, she’s gonna have a lot of strong, dedicated people behind her. I don’t know how a person can be so excited and at peace at the same time, but that is the way I am feeling right now.

      • wow! was that you getting your shirt signed on the back?? I remember that:) Lucky!! 🙂

        • sandyl says:

Actually no, she signed mine on my right front shoulder. I had the cap that read NYPD on it, but that was cool for the one gal that got hers on her back!! 🙂

          • azo! I hope I can get to see her speak live and get a quick chance to meet her when the Mrs. and I travel to AZ in Dec. Hope there will be some kind of TAM meet up then too:) That’s so cool that you made the trip and got to meet Sarah!!!

  38. Ladybug13USA says:

I loved it when she said “Like you,I am not for sale.”
That wipes out 90% of politicians. There are so few like Sarah who are in politics to serve the people.

Nice picture Ginger, thank you for giving us a report on you trip to the rally. Sounds like you had a great time.

      • Ginger says:

I did, 1ntbtn, thanks, and so did my husband, and I haven’t entirely convinced him regarding Palin, but I noticed he was applauding her during some of her remarks, so I’m feeling like I made a lot of progress yesterday as far as he is concerned. He said he had had noticed how much she had “grown”. I explained that she had been through the purifying fire over the last few years. She is ready. He was impressed with her. He likes her, but I can’t, for now, seem to get him past that national health care idea. He’s FOR it. I know. It’s very frustrating! I’m continuing chipping away at the problem, however! ha

I have a few more photos, so will work on posting them today.

    • imacat says:

Ginger, you can see the TAMs with the banner in this picture. Look at the guy with the numbers on his shirt to the right of the “guns and religion” sign, and just above his blue cap is the TAM banner! 🙂

  41. jeaneeinabottle says:

I love love love the banner!! Sydney is in the perfect spot, so cute!!! After watching The Undefeated today on PPV it made watching her speech that much sweeter. My WiFi went out before her speech, when it finally was on again twitter was still going crazy, you don’t have to guess to hard which bloggers were bashing her, but I saw a lot of new Palin fans too. Hope everyone had a great time and safe travels home 🙂 grrr !

Wow! What a day. If you are ever on the fence about going to an event or TAM meet-up, do it. It was an honor and thrill to meet such awesome TAMs – and not one bad apple in the whole bunch! That says a lot for Tammy and the quality of audience she attracts. Tammy is every bit gracious, charming and genuine as I imagined. Afterwards, Joel267, J_likesTea, Shellym, Artgal, Honey, and I retreated to the bar to solve the world’s problems. Thanks, everyone, for a wonderful time, special thanks to Tammy, and safe travels home.

    • Ginger says:

  50. CMill says:

    Hi guys,
Sorry we couldn’t make the TAM meetup afterwards. My husband and I had used up every bit of the kids’ good graces. When we realized we had a few hours to use up before the dinner and the kids were already fighting in the back seat, we made the decision to embark on the 9 hour drive sooner rather than later. Within a few minutes all was quiet and there was sleeping in the back seat. 🙂 It was great to put faces to the names. I look forward to the next TAM meet up. -Charlene

    • sandyl says:

Cmill, we were disappointed that we didn’t get to go the dinner too, but I hear you. Sometimes you have a higher (or louder) calling 🙂

I didn’t get to meet a lot of TAMs, becuz I never saw the banner. I don’t think Ginger did either–where was it? (probably in front of my nose)

Well when Sarah runs, there will be more chances for meet ups until Tammy becomes Sarah’s press secretary and we have to let her go–temporarily.

      • Ginger says:

I’m thinking since they were at the Tam booth early, and my husband and I didn’t get there until about 10:00, maybe that is why. My twitter app would not work for me yesterday, and I guess because of the rain or whatever, I had a difficult time getting online or making a call on the cellphone. All’s well, and everything was the way it was supposed to be, I’m sure. I’m so happy to have had the chance to be there, and I’m glad the tams had a great meet up, and maybe when things works out, I’ll actually meet Tammy and some of you other tams someday. I’m a happy camper, and have been excited about yesterday. I’m hunting for another tea party.. LOL

        • sandyl says:

Ginger, You are so right. I am hooked on Tea Parties now. 🙂 Yesterday was a great day, and I have become even more excited becuz my husband and I just finished watching pay per view of The Undefeated. Tammy was terrific in the movie, and Sarah is so great, we too are very happy to have had the day we had yesterday. I hope to meet you and other TAMs soon.

          • Ginger says:

Same here, Sandy! I’m thinkin’ about her October 7th date in St. Charles, Mo. Also, I missed the cspan coverage, but maybe they have some archived video coverage…will check it out.

      • imacat says:

Sandy, the TAMs with the banner were standing to the right of the stage beyond the lawn chairs. I believe they had been there since around 8 a.m. I chatted with them around 9 a.m. and again around noon, just as they were taking down the banner because it was getting water-logged with all the rain. It was made of some type of corrugated material, from what I could tell. I know they were sorry to have to take it down but they didn’t want it to be ruined.

        • sandyl says:

imacat, Thanks!!! I kept thinking all day….how could we miss that sign? I also wondered if it had gotten waterlogged like everything else did yesterday.

That was quite the downpour, but you know they say if it rains on your wedding day, its good luck, becuz the old is washed away to make way for the new. So maybe this was washing away politics of old to make way for the new.

  51. Reb says:

Loved reading all your comments fellow Tams….I had to work yesterday and some today as well……so I didn’t get to Iowa or even to see/hear Sarah’s speech live or the great song I Am America….if the rain didn’t do that one in.

Since then, I’ve seen and read Sarah’s speech and been all over the web. Thank you fellow Tams.

I can’t think of a more wonderful way to end a planned trip to my hometown Minneapolis to see Mom, then going home to Virginia by way of Des Moines to see Sarah Palin, and TAMS! It was great to be home, then on Friday I picked up my neighbor “literally”, and friend Palin2012, Patricia Smiley, at the airport and drove to Des Moines. We met at our hotel bar with my college roommate living in Des Moines,(yes conservative!), then in the morning departed for Indianola. Rain? It happens in the summer in the midwest! However, I did suggest the vehicle for a time when it became electrical! I don’t stand in a field with lightening in the area! Then it was only rain! It happens! I loved meeting the Tams, and as I guessed, peeps you would would hang out with and count on! Just like friends, family, you may not see for years, but you know they are there. That’s how conservative like minds think. We are there, period. And always will be. And thank you as always Tammy for your intellect, insight, voice and service! Sorry I missed the meet and greet, but for those who were at the rally, you might like to know that Patricia and I “rode” that darned rain front to Indiana that day, and night! And, it was her first trip to the Heartland, and liked it, but she wondered when the scenery would change? I told her Kentucky!!!! Thanks to all of the Tams for making my trip home all the more memorable! And….I pray for Palin please!

  53. shellym says:

All, It’s quite difficult to describe everything that happened with the rally and meetup, but my best summary is that I love us. Despite the thunderstorm, rain and being cold at several points, there was simply no replacing being with fellow TAMs, witnessing Gov. Palin’s speech, meeting and spending time with Tammy. For those who haven’t met our TAM commander-in-chief, I hope you’ll have the chance soon. She’s remarkable, so very intelligent and rather generous, as evidenced by her impromptu Palin report at the restaurant.

To my fellow TAMs who made the trip, I’m so proud to know you! Rob_W, Artgal, Honey, J_likesTea, Joel267…who helped close out the evening at the Machine Shed last night, what a fantastic conversation! Miss you all already!

On the drive back to St. Louis today, I stopped in Pella and took a moment (or two) to peer inside the Opera House and think of “The Undefeated” premiere that took place just a couple short months ago. The town is quaint, unassuming and decidedly perfect for such an event. It was a wonderful conclusion to a memorable weekend. And, on that note, I’m going to bed so I can manage to be lucid and full of coffee for tomorrow’s chat when Tammy fills in for Ingraham.

Oh and…let’s share those pics and videos TAMs! -shellym

I saw Tammy at the rally and thanked her for taking the time to attend. And then I took her picture.

I saw the TAMs as well, doing their due diligence.

The rally was a lot of fun. Here’s a short video of the end where Gov. Palin was meetin’ and greetin’. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9bEM9ZNPcU&feature=channel_video_title

    • Ginger says:

Bob, nice quoting of you, and I have noticed also how she has such amazing eye contact. She looks each person she meets directly in the eye, and for that breif period of time, it is just her and the other person. That is a remarkable gift, especially for a politician. She is a people person, and God only knows that is what we need right now, someone who is attached, not DETACHED.

  56. tamcat says:

It is so great to see real human TAMS! Online in photos and video. A lot of them too! It must have been thrilling to participate In the Tea Party events, and an honor to meet Tammy and Sarah Palin. WOW

This is about the attendance in Iowa.

    Posted by Irishcoins at C4P:
Crowd Count. I will have more on the TX bus trip, but wanted to post this re crowd count. The oldest member of our TX delegation was McKinney, TX Patience Vaughan, 87. Mrs. Vaughan was driven on a golf cart to the “Texas is Palin Country” bus at the conclusion of the event, by the Event Marshall, after walking to the top of the hill to the event tent. The Event Marshall was with the Indianola Balloon Grounds, and not with the TP. He was questioned by Mrs. Vaughan’s son, re the crowd count, and his answer was 6000. And this was someone who perhaps happened to have the best experience of anyone at the event that day in estimating crowd size at this venue, as he led the team that parked the vehicles. The 6000 crowd size number makes sense if you figure about 20 people across at the bottom on the left hand side facing the stage, which widened to the top of the hill, and add those in the VIP center section, and then add the rest.

I’m glad I was able to be at the rally and the meet-up after and be with other like minded TAMs.

Wow! Excellent pictures, videos and reports! Thank you all for sharing. I was glued to the computer watching the rally and chatting with TAMS. I’m so glad Tammy opened up the chat room. Thank you Tammy! It was as if we were right there with you & the TAMS in Iowa.

Sorry so many of you could not find the banner. We had to protect it from the rain. They assigned the TAM Secret Service responsibility to me to keep it dry, and afterwards getting it to the car and to the restaurant, being extra careful not to slip and fall in the mud.

  61. Trish S says:

It was more than wonderful meeting all the TAMS and of course, Tammy! I haven’t been a TAM for long, but a better group you’ll never find. Our fearless, yes fearless, leader, Tammy Bruce, is not only lovely, funny and rowdy ;), she has done SO much for the cause, it boggles the mind! Another highlight was getting to meet Sarah Palin. After the speech, on a whim we decided to make our way back to the stage, long story short, Ellen (my daughter), told Sarah that it was my 50th birthday that day. Sarah asked us if she could take a picture with us? She asked us! After we moved along, my sister texted me and said that she and my dad saw and heard our conversation with Sarah on CSPAN.

Any thoughts on how soon M. Bachmann will throw in the towel and give her PAC money to mittenz??

Tammy, I love the TAM banner at IA. Perhaps some bumper stickers as TAM gear would be in the future??

Hey guys, this post isn’t about the tea party on Saturday, but about the O’Reilly Factor tonight. I am so angry I could spit!!

Laura Ingraham was hosting and she had Ann Coulter on to talk about Sarah. I could have closed my eyes and sworn that it was two democrats. It was disgusting. They cited the Fox Poll, and it even showed at the bottom that it was only 911 (strange no.) of registered voters. Ann pointed out how many in the poll said they would NEVER vote for Sarah. Hey Ann, did it ever cross that blonde head of yours that those were the democrats. Ann not only put Sarah down, she slammed the tea party as right wingers. She said she is now beginning dislike Sarah because of her fans!! What Ann are you angry that you are no longer the darling of the conservatives??? Poor baby. Laura glowed about Mittens’ 59 point jobs plan, saying that Sarah doesn’t want to do the heavy lifting like that. How brave of you Laura to have Ann on to “debate” about Sarah. They slammed her voice, her intelligence and her willingness to do the work needed. That its just getting ridiculous and that she should get in or out!

Ladies I have news for you. Bash away all you want. You are showing your true colors to real conservatives. I have had many disappointments over the last few years, but at least I know what side you guys are on. You have been in Washington DC too long and want the same ol politics as usual. They don’t feel the pain of the American people, and now they’re bitter and angry because we have outgrown them. Well ladies learn to deal with it because you will have to deal with President Palin.

This is the only place I can go to vet. Thanks for listening(reading). 🙂

    • Rob_W says:

Thanks for that update, Sandy. Ingraham and Coulter are only hurting themselves. They should ask Michael Savage what it’s like to lose audience as a direct result of bashing Gov. Palin. Have either of them even bothered to interview the Governor lately and challenge her directly? Is the Republican machine putting them up to this? We have no problem with legitimate analysis and criticism of the Governor, but enough with the high school girl jealously routine. It’s embarrassing.

PS: A warm welcome to the Laura listeners. You have a home here in the Tammy Army.

      • Chuck says:

I had BOR tonight on mute, and when they announced that Coulter was going to be on with Laura discussing Sarah, I knew it was going to be ugly. I didn’t turn the volume on, but made a point of observing both of their body languages, and they both looked like high school girls, with the giggles and the eye rolls. Reading what they said, it seems that I was correct. Tammy’s tweet tonight to Ann summarizes my feelings very well. I’m looking forward to Tammy’s comments tomorrow. But for sure I’m not spending a single cent in books by either of those two.

    • lawmom90 says:

sandy, I too was disgusted by Laura Ingraham’s obvious shilling for Mittens. She actually used the term “tease” and I called her a sexist. UGH. I’m done with her, Tammy’s love of her notwithstanding. And someone plz tell Ann Coulter I wouldn’t waste my finger strokes sending her any hate mail. They sounded like bitter old harpies.

  69. BostonBruin says:

Had an awesome time at the rally in Manchester, NH on Monday. Got a good spot about 25 feet from the podium. That’s as close as I’ve ever been. You can really see and feel the Gov’s passion and energy as she spoke from her heart. Glad she paused when we shouted “Run, Sarah, Run”. Wasn’t able to get an autograph at the end, but I think she saw me waving to her as she was wisked away in a black SUV (hard to tell thru black tinted windows).

Crowd size was somewhere between 1000-1500. About 80% were pro-Sarah. Much of the crowd left when she finished speaking. There were a couple dozen Paulbots floating around. Perhaps a few Santorum supporters were there as he had a booth setup. When they asked how many in the crowd were from out-of-state, about a third of the hands went up.

This was a wonderful opportunity for the Gov. to stake her claim in NH. She may have felt it necessary since she won’t be at the debate in October (she’ll be in South Korea). The fact that MB isn’t spending time in NH anymore has definitely created an opening for the Gov.

    • sandyl says:

BostonBruin, That’s fantastic. She is more beautiful in person isn’t she? There is such excitement surrounding her, it is infectious. Can’t wait for her inauguration in 2013.

      • Ginger says:

Glad you got to go to that NH rally, BostonBruin! Thanks for the crowd count. There were some on that daffy huffpost saying there were just about a hundred people or so there.

The TAM meet-up in Iowa was the perfect finish to an inspiring day. It was great to meet Tammy and, of course, she was very gracious and generous with her time. After driving for 2 days to get there I was almost too exhausted to go; but I’m so glad I did (as are my kids). Since my ‘TAM-ily’ and I had volunteered to ‘work’ the rally so we didn’t get to gather with the other TAMS during the event; we were grateful for this opportunity to get together. I have posted these elsewhere, but here again are the pictures I managed to get of Tammy and my daughter Peggy (actually, one of my sons took them): http://twitpic.com/6fs5u8 & http://twitpic.com/6fr5vb Again, very nice to have this opportunity, especially with the disaster of the C4P meet-up on Friday night. It was disappointing not to be able to meet the Governor and shake her hand but, the way I see it, I’m not expecting her to be my close personal friend, I just want to help make her my president. One more thing…I’m so glad to be home.
