You have got to be kidding me. So financially supporting that country and their people isn’t enough, now Perry thinks we should have our loved ones fight and die in their civil war? Building a wall and removing incentives for Mexicans to be here would compel them to be at home instigating a very necessary revolution right now, taking back their own nation. But no, we’re more invested in maintaining a slave class representing the ultimate in racism, while doing everything possible to erase the border and with it our sovereignty.
Rick Perry, just another Establishment Menace.
Rick Perry signaled Saturday he would be open to sending U.S. troops into Mexico to combat drug cartels should the situation arise.
After speaking at a house party in Manchester, the Texas governor was asked a series of questions about the border and his stance on illegal immigration.
He said the leaders of Mexico and the U.S. should meet after next year’s elections to address the deadly drug trade in that country.
“It may require our military in Mexico working in concert with them to kill these drug cartels and to keep them off of our border,” Perry said.
Campaign press secretary Robert Black said Perry wanted to cooperate with the Mexican government and wasn’t ruling anything out.
“He’s going to work with the Mexican government to do what’s necessary,” Black said.
Here’s what I know. If Perry becomes president I can keep the “Dumb Bastard” tag for the blog. We’re gonna need it.

If it’s true that Perry’s people thought that his jumping into the race would cause Sarah Palin to back off and join his team, then that may go down as one of the worst political miscalculations in modern history. This guy is like the anti-Palin! Perry is going to be so unpopular soon, that when Sarah finally does get in, one of the main attacks on her is going to be her endorsement of Perry in the 2010 Texas primary.
tammy perry’s a wack job..lol..
i just hope that when palin DOES get in, she strongly articulates these points cos i haven’t heard her really talk too much about this topic, and we NEED a strong stand against it..
1) build the dam wall WITH a moat along the borders.
2) put 30,000 more national guard down there WITH tanks and everything..i mean all this shouldda been done on 9.12.2001.
3) make it a federal crime to pass over illegally & enforce the dam laws
4) remove ALL services to illegals (that means ANY school, medical, anchor citizenship, jobs..EVERYTHING!!!)
5) stop giving illegals drivers licenses
6) demand identification when voting.
uh…i’m sure there’s more, but u get the idea 🙂
I don’t think we should send troops to mexico, however I do think we need troops on the border. There have been too many military and “police” crossovers, as well as smuggling.
I agree.. But to send troops into Mexico is arguably annexing the country. We sent troops in once, led by Teddy Roosevelt, we conquered that nation and then gave a the biggest chunk back, now known as modern day Mexico. Perhaps we should have kept the entire damn thing and been done with it.
Governor Perry is Tactless and Undiplomatic: not the qualities of a Leader.

His reaction is start another war? I think we are in enough wars, thank you. I agree with Tammy, the people who have come here illegally for a better life as they say, should stay in their country and fix it. How long has Mexico been this way? They have always had that escape valve through our border. If they had not I think Mexico would be a different place.
I’m almost embarrased to admit that I’m from (and in) New Mexico. Our new republican Hispanic governor and our few republican state representatives are unbale to bring to the table any bills to stop the practice of drivers’ licenses to illegals. 65 – 70% of polled New Mexicans would like the practice stopped, but the will of the people is up against the powerful democrat machine, most recently with the cooperation of our last governor, Bill Richardson.
And hey, Mr Perry, my daughter and son-in-law have spent the last 8 years in the Army and reserves and are unable to find work but have been going to college on the GI bill. After they EARN their bachelor degrees in computer science and electrical engineering here, will you give them in-state tuition for graduate school in Texas? They were stationed at Fort Hood, TX during the times they were not in Iraq and Kuwait (2 tours).
