I have got to get out of here. Just the economic disaster of this is mindboggling. We already have in-state tuition rates for illegals, this is about allowing tax payer funded college aid and loans to illegals, in a state where we are near collapse economically. In other words, there is no freaking money!

California Governor Jerry Brown on Saturday signed a bill giving illegal immigrant college students access to state-funded financial aid, the second half of two-part legislation known as the “Dream Act.”

The controversial measure, which passed the Democrat-controlled legislature on a party-line vote in September, represents a victory for immigrant-rights activists ahead of the 2012 presidential election. California is the nation’s most populous state.

Only two other states, Texas and New Mexico, allow illegal immigrants to qualify for state financial aid for college, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures…

Opponents of the California Dream Act have argued that public funds should not be used to help illegal immigrants, especially as California faces deep budget woes that have prompted cuts in education and higher tuitions at the state’s public colleges and universities.

“Citizens are having a hard enough time getting the classes they need now,” Assemblyman Tim Donnelly, a Hesperia Republican, wrote in a September 9 letter to Brown urging him to veto the legislation.

“(California already offers) students in the country illegally in-state tuition; legally documented students from the next state over can only dream of such a benefit,” Donnelly said.

You guys out there in CA won’t have to wait for the “big one” to wash you out to sea – you’ll be on your way soon enough in a sea of red ink.

Tammy: I will race you to see who can get out first. Change may be scary, but without it something within us sleeps. It is time to go somewhere in which earners are not punished and demonized and rule of law is enforced.

It must be difficult to leave your area, as you need to be close to a media center. Is there any red state area in which new media is being developed and nurtured? St, Louis perhaps?

hey tammy i just thought of something…if the conservatives keep LEAVING states, then there’ll be no one left to stand up and fight the good fight and that’ll make it EASIER for the liberals to take over & destroy them…shudn’t conservatives STOP running and organize in the masses and fight these freaks?..just my two cents 🙂

this is not surprising. we re-elected senator ma’am and re-elected governor moonbeam. the financial irresponsibility boggles the mind. my kids are almost done with school and i’d like to be around here for that. after that, who knows? i’m a native californian and it just plain hurts to see what our beautiful state has become.

Our state just went into the toilet even more last year after re-electing the moron liberals in office. Didn’t people know that Moonbeam would do these types of shenanigans when he came into office? So disgraceful. I’m a native too naga5 and it really does hurt to see what has happened to our Golden State, the same state that elected Ronald Reagan. I don’t want to leave here, but it someday may happen. I think Sharky is right, we should stay and fight, and Tammy shouldn’t leave either. This is our home. We’ve been taken over by illegals and the liberals who’ve let them come, taken over by the homeless (bums) and the liberals who’ve let them stay. It’s outrageous! My two oldest kids have finished college, thank God, just in time before this new lunacy. My youngest hasn’t finished yet, but I’m afraid it may be too late for him. It sickens and saddens me re: California. And it doesn’t look like the voters have learned any lessons.

Like we needed more proof. We are now a nation of men, and not a nation of laws. Men and groups that bitch, moan, and scream racism, sexism, homophobia, etc… until they get their way. The rule of law and simple fairness are now old-fashioned ideas the white man uses to keep the brown people down. I bet immigrants who sacrificed and went through the process to be here legally are thrilled for their children. Teaching their kids hard work and obeying the rules pays off? Not so much. Worst part for illegals is, the gov’t. they think will set them free continues to find new and creative ways, by design, to enslave them. By extension, the rest of us as well.
