What an apt description. In fact, Obama has been a train wreck for this entire nation for 3 1/2 years, so this disaster would manifest itself in everything he’s done. Nice to hear some honesty out of CNN on this issue as well. We have one more day with a decision not until probably June, so this is far from over, but so far it’s looking good.

Toobin: ‘This Law Looks Like It’s Going To Be Struck Down’

CNN Legal Analyst Jeffrey Toobin, following Supreme Court arguments on President Obama’s health care law, said on CNN that based on what he heard inside the Court, things didn’t look good for proponents of the law.

“This was a train wreck for the Obama administration,” he said. “This law looks like it’s going to be struck down. I’m telling you, all of the predictions including mine that the justices would not have a problem with this law were wrong… if I had to bet today I would bet that this court is going to strike down the individual mandate.”

Toobin added that he felt that U.S. Solicitor General David Verrilli simply wasn’t prepared for the conservative justices.

“I don’t know why he had a bad day,” he said. “He is a good lawyer, he was a perfectly fine lawyer in the really sort of tangential argument yesterday. He was not ready for the answers for the conservative justices.”

Toobin also said he thought Justice Kennedy, the perennial swing vote, was a “lost cause” for supporters of the health care reform law.

Solicitor General David Verrilli was nervous and ineffective because he knows his defense of Obamacare is crap. You can’t defend a law as constitutional when you know in fact that it is not. A confident man doesn’t act nervous and appear unprepared.

Any administration that thinks that Jay Carney and Joe Biden are effective communicators would be dazzled by David Verrilli. So yes, I agree that it has to be that he knows he’s trying to defend the indefensible, but I also think that the administration’s bar is so low for communication ability that they couldn’t see that he would wilt.

I wouldn’t read too much into the nuances of testimony. If the world were sane, we’d never have gotten to this point in the first place. Four of these people can’t find any conflict between the 2nd Amendment and a ban on firearms. The human mind is capable of justifying anything. I’m glad the testimony exposes some of the depraved logic of Obamacare, but I’m not comfortable in assuming that the exposure of that depraved logic means they’re not okay with it.

As for me, my ‘go to guy’ for anything having to do with this subject is the one and only ‘great one’: Mark Levin.

Recall, it was his legal foundation’s threat of a lawsuit that squelched the so-called ‘Slaughter Rule’, right on the cusp of the vote for the ACA. That rule, put plainly, was if you voted for an amendment to the ACA meant you voted for the complete ACA(It was ‘deemed’ passed). He, too put it mildly, went completely ballistic, forcing the Congressional Pissants and Masterminds retreat into well deserved humiliation. And there has not been a week that has gone by since then where he hasn’t, in one way, shape or form, given a College Level lecture on this subject, with the focus on the ‘Individual Mandate’ atrocity.

His broadcast today, after all the raisin-brained commentators and know-nothing pundits have given their 2 cents, is ‘appointment radio’ and not to be missed.
