Just heard the DTB re: the man and woman arrested in a car near a Saudi Arabian mall. Illicit meeting? OK, Let me get this straight (pun sort-of intended): gays are executed in Saudi A. But this hetero couple has also been arrested. Does that mean that *any* two people sitting in a car can be punished by the Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice? It’s a wonder people still leave their homes.
The people over here have a very low regard for the women. Even the mothers of their own children are abused at whim. Courts over here are Sharia law courts. Women who have pressed charges against their attackers are ordered to obey their husband and it is her duty as a woman to please this man any time he wishes. Many of these women commit suicide to escape the torment. At least in Bahrain, women are permitted to drive, but must obey their husband, even if he demands they cover their face. Women are not allowed to be out and about without the company of their husband, brother, or father.
And this is the group that the DB bows down to? He’s as pathetic as the so called religion is.
