Not only did the rank-and-file boo the amendment, but the Dem convention chair had to CHEAT in calling the vote for the inclusion. Looks like the convention hall was half empty, so I’m sure Obama’s thugs thought everyone there would be good little lemmings and let them fix the disaster their platform had become. But lo and behold, they didn’t have the vote, but Villaraigosa called it anyway! The Dems have now declared war on fiscal sanity, voting, God and Israel. Not exactly the message they wanted in the first 48 hours.

UPDATE:

AP is reporting that Obama, the Chicago Jesus himself, intervened to get God and Jerusalem back in the platform. of course, they wrote the platform quite some time before the convention and Obama was fine with it. Once again they completely overestimated themselves and underestimated the American people and are now doing damage control which turned it into an even bigger fiasco.

This has got to be the funniest debacle in the history of political conventions. I’ve never seen an entire group of people throw themselves under their own bus. It’s a disaster being run by people who don’t know what they’re doing. In other words, a microcosm of Obama’s disastrous presidency.

    To my ear(and after THREE voice votes!..LOL!) there wasn’t a 2/3’s ‘yea’

Good, bad or indifferent, now these delegates know they have no voice or say in the convention.
They truly got ‘thrown under the bus’ so El Presidente’ could ‘save face’.

So I would ask them: ‘How does it ‘feel’ to be treated like a dirty prom dress?

What, moving indoors to avoid directed lightning strikes was not enough to assuage DFB’s fears? But in NO WAY did they have 2/3 of those present voting to revise the platform. Just another fraud by Dems.

  3. marleed says:

The way this party is treating God and Israel, I think it’s probably wise they moved the even indoors… as I suspect there might be lightning, rain or no rain. Draw your own conclusions.

Apparently BHO realized that the platform was going to hurt him so he forced a faux vote on the convention floor. The most disturbing was the very strong support for the original platform without the mention of God or Jerusalem. Clearly those who wanted it to remain the same were loud and clear even though the gavel said otherwise. The most vocal delegates on the vote were the Michigan delegation which have a strong Arab American contingency.

If you had any doubts on where this administration stands on Israel and God, those doubts are now erased.

The Dems just gave the GOP a huge gift.

Well kiddies – here’s an example of how a Marxist gets things done. Never mind the majority said “NO” 3 times and needed 2/3 “YAY” to pass. All-mighty leader wanted it done and to hell with the delegates; pesky commoners!

This needs to go viral – and I have no doubt TAMs will make that happen.

  6. ReardenSteel says:

Once again, after eight years of the Marxists bitching and moaning about “An Imperial” Bush Presidency; we finally see what a real Imperial President/Dictator looks like. All for me, none for you. Serve me, and I will give you what I think you deserve. How fitting that Tony Villar, the little Marxist/Globalist minion that he is, calls the bogus vote legit. A party whose legendary icons are Jimmuh and Billy Jeff is hurtling at warp speed to the ash heep of history. God willing. This quote from Goethe sums up the Dems for me. “There are none so enslaved, as those who falsely believe they are free.”

  7. greenlantern2011 says:

</3 </3 </3 My heart breaks for poor Tony! He was damned if he did and damned if he didn't. Yes, Tony, the Repubs are something from 2 centuries ago, 1776 and all, but the Dims–more recent–I'd say 1930's Germany. What a legacy you've given to the world: The sights and sounds of the DNC shouting down the inclusion of God and Jerusalem into the party platform THREE TIMES. Not to get all New Testament, but it will be only the 2nd most famous 3X Denial in history.

On June 4, ’08, Candidate Obama spoke before AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) and stated that Jerusalem must remain the undivided capital of Israel.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas almost had a stroke. Muslims went nuts.

So… Candidate Obama “clarified” his remarks:

    http://voices.washingtonpost.com/44/2008/06/obama-backtracks-on-jerusalem.html

And today, the DEMS want us to believe that *Obama* wanted Jerusalem-as-capital-of-Israel back in the platform? I am dizzy. I need dramamine. Stat!

Booing God? DEMS, you all must be soooo proud….

I seem to remember something similar happening at the Republican convention. Can’t remember the motion, though. Maybe the acoustics just aren’t the same listening through TV or this medium. It would be hard to tell what the real vote was without a roll call. Seems to me they should’ve had one for an issue like this, but then the convention’s gotta get in those speeches, and we don’t want to burden the viewing audience…

  10. Pat_S says:

So now even God needs Obama’s help.

  11. strider says:

Sandra Fluke was there and condoms might be on the platform. Looked like she was wearing a necklace made of sliced condoms dipped in some glue and glitter.

Made the mistake of unmuting my set while Fauxcahontas was speaking. She spread enough manure in the two minutes I was held captive to grow a season’s worth of corn. Who knew that job creation and debt reduction came from the middle class and the poor?

And anyone notice the stellar production value of the convention? Camera angles, cut aways, and such I thought I was watching a Hollywood blockbuster or something like that.

Tony killed 2 birds with 3 votes today!!! Now we have video to help rid these Godless dems in Ca, Mexicans LOVE God, don’t think they will like booing God one bit…I hope. Where’s all the concern for the hurricane ppl, they still don’t have electricity??? If you don’t watch Cavuto take on these dems you must, he’s the best, he keeps asking why no one mentions the debt now at 16 trillion, the looks on their faces are priceless! I think they’re going to bring Gabby Gifford out for their surprise, she would be perfect for their Palin/tparty slam. Billyjeff was disgusting, praising his wife for keeping us safe inbetween beers and dancing, oh and being snubbed by China’s VP! According to him we now must wait to *FEEEL* Obamas recovery…..4 FREAKIN YEARS IS ENOUGH!!!! He wants us to actually sit around and wait??! Screw em…oops….vote them OUT

My big disappointment tonight was the former CEO of COSTCO, who told a personal success story that could have been presented without modification at the RNC convention last week — except for his concluding remarks indicating it is Obama’s America where this sort of success is possible for two young guys with an idea, who are willing to invest their personal resources to start up a small private business, then work hard, take personal risks, treat their customers and employees extremely well, and grow that little idea into the 5th largest retailer in the U.S.

Even when he said they could not have done it alone, and he felt they were extremely fortunate to have such great support from America for their success, I could still cheer knowing this is a normal response to a great company which provides excellent service to an appreciative customer base. It was their personal vision for the company that made it what it is today. They totally freakin’ built that! And America loves them for doing it.

I just didn’t get how he could live that wonderful success story and conclude what he concluded about Obama’s vision for America.

The former CEO of one of my favorite companies fell off a pedestal tonight. I still respect him for where is heart is regarding how he ran his business, how he treated his customers and employees, and his vision for the company that persists even after his departure. But I don’t get how anything he said translates into an endorsement for this current regime.

They say politics makes for strange bedfellows. I’m left scratching my head about this one.

Wow, I never thought I would hear “GOD” and “Jerusalem” booed.

There is nearly a day that goes by that I don’t wonder WHAT in the heck has happen to our country?

Having said that, I can’t get too worked up with the Dems Leader pushing through the change over the objections of the delegates when the GOP did the same thing last week at their own convention.
The GOP went behind closed doors and changed rules, made a power grab that will affect elections for years to come. It was a move against grassroots (Tea Party) and Ron Paul Delegates by the GOP establishment. They knew there was going to be objections and had supporters chant USA, USA to drown out the objections.

If you watch the videos on Youtube, you will not see much difference in the objections from DEM last night or GOP delegates from last week. Sorry I can’t put in links.

      Mary,

I don’t know if this is the video that you are referring to, but I’m providing a link to a video entitled:

“Did RNC “Scripted” Rules Change Start A Civil War In The Republican Party? ”

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKaXqoC4DjE

It’s very professionally done (looks like might be filmed in some local Fox station?).

This video shows the scrolling teleprompter and Mr. I Was Born In A Barn Boehner simply RAILROADING the yay/nay vote.

This will affect the conservative/Tea Party wing of the RNC for years to come.

If this rules change had happened pre-Reagan….there would be no Reagan!

      • otlset says:

Uppity Tea Party Republicans must be kept under control and taught a lesson. Meanwhile on the surface we’re all gung-ho for Romney and his machine now.

      • Mary says:

Thanks CarrieP for the link. This video had more info than the videos I had viewed. I hadn’t heard about the bus loaded with GOP delegates circling. I would love to see a follow up to that story! i knew some delegates had been removed from committee and replaced with Mitt’s delegates.

I will vote for Mitt this time,we have to save the country; but after that I am done with GOP.

I used to think the Tea Party and Conservative could work within the GOP but after this year I no longer believe this.

I’m hoping a 3rd party is started after Mitt is elected.

I live in Ohio and there are many that don’t want/like Mitt. Sadly, Obama may win our state by default;(

  16. midget says:

In the Old Testament God promises to “curse those who curse you”( Israel).Gen 12:3 In the first commandment He tells us that He is ” the one true God and there shall be no other”. WOW the DNC has big brassy hoohahs.

    • radargeek says:

I feel that the accursed o’emptychair will do just that to the US if re-elected. This freak is chomping-at-the-bit to turn on Israel and curse our nation. This will be the great Judea-Christian covenant broken (or apostasy) between our country and GOD. This will complete our decline.

We need to know more of there Platform in Color 🙂

  18. Maynard says:

I guess this means Obama doesn’t have a prayer in 2012.

So why did the resolution (technically) fail? Was it the God part or the Jerusalem (Jooos!) part? Or some combination thereof. (The camera lingering on the jeering “Arab-American” makes one suspect the Jewish issue was the key, but of course that was anecdotal, and not necessarily the big picture.)
