I’ve heard — correct me if I’m wrong — that the ambassador was murdered after he’d been moved to a “secret” safe house, which was then shelled. This scenario, if I describe it correctly, is clearly a military operation, in that it involves a major breach of secrecy and military weapons. Not the sort of thing that would be perpetrated by a spontaneous mob. This is so immediately obvious that to assert otherwise is to be intentionally deceptive.

I’m flashing back to Dan Rather and that ridiculous George Bush memo, which Rather asserted was genuine for, what was it?, more than a week. I never understood that. Anybody old enough to have been around during the era — and of course Rather was — knew that typewritten documents of the day were not proportionally spaced. In other words, the thing was so crude that one must assume it was created as a goof, rather than with intent to deceive. And yet, these people say stuff like this, and repeat it. What’s wrong? Does truth, obvious truth, mean nothing?

Oh, yeah, and that Morning Joe clip, where they use a caption to tell you that you didn’t hear what you heard. What a world!

Any normal administration/congress and Sec. of State’s head would roll. Wonder how much Hillary having been a former FLOTUS (and a Senator) factors into Congress treading lightly on her. And how much this being a Presidential election year factors into it. Seems to me liberal bias and Republican passivity. Repubs are scared of the media attacks if they hit Hillary hard, so they are trying to get bipartisan support to get cover which means they are compromising behind the scenes which means no one will be held responsible.

Alain, I agree. The Republicans won’t go after Hillary, Obama or Holder because of their usual fear of being called sexists and/or racist..sad..we should be past this by now
