UPDATE: After I filled in this morning news began to break about Laura leaving TRN and arranging a different syndication deal. I have no inside information and am reliant on news reports like all of you. I can tell you I’ve enjoyed filling in for Laura for the past few years and I’m sure she will not be gone from the radio scene for very long. In the meantime, here is some of the coverage of today’s situation:

And another thing. Have you ever noticed how the drunk people you meet are always Caucasians? Do you know why that is? Because the liquor stores have cracked down on checking ID when you buy alcohol. Disenfranchised minorities have been blocked from purchasing booze by oppressive, discriminatory laws. Where’s the ACLU when you need them?
oh good, Tammy on Laura’s show. I’ve actually been listening to Laura more as a result! For some reason Laura had left my radar, but Tammy on Laura reminded me of her (Laura) again (and again…)!
Now, if someone could tell me who to contact to find out what Tammy charges to speak at universities, that would be really great!
Hey, now that you mention it, that would be good to know, as I work at a university, and it would be cool if someone could bring her in to speak!
Laura posts a podcast of her shows onto her website. Can TAMs get a copy of this posted to the TBRS website as the podcast of the Tammy show for the day? Due to work I purely podcast so when Tammy’s on Laura I get zero Tammy show! The DTB is like methadone that keeps me on the edge of withdrawal on the “filling in for Laura” days!

Sorry TAMs. No audio.. because the Laura site didn’t post an mp3 today.. and of course there won’t be any Laura podcasts until she seals a new deal. The only other way I can capture audio is in realtime, manually, and I had to work today. 🙁

I can’t hear Tammy live on Laura in my area, either. If it helps, there’s a radio station in southern Utah that plays the show at 5pm Pacific time. I just go to the site, stream and listen.

I hope Laura returns to the airwaves soon. When it came to covering the election of 2012 I found her show to be one of the better ones. She didn’t shill like so many of the others. It seems as though there’s some shifting in talk radio. Michael Savage went off the air briefly and now has a new syndicator (and fewer stations) and Neal Boortz is retiring in January. Who will be the next to go?

While it has been fun hearing Tammy sub for Laura, I really appreciate that Tammy has gone commando. We have been spolied, and it isn’t easy getting used to all those ads, and constant worry that someone may be “offended” by honest, unvarnished truth.
So on Tammy’s show on Wednesday she talked about a second hour but there was only an hour’s worth of podcast. Is there some sort of secret handshake or something?
For this week anyway, when Tammy does the National Show formerly known as Laura Ingraham radio show, Tammy has also been doing a one hour Tammy talk stream live show at her regular time, and then for the 2nd hour she rebroadcasts a previous show. So if you are listening to talk stream live, just stay connected and the rebroadcast will come up, if you’re listening to the podcast at a later time, you will only get the first hour orignal program.

Btw, did Laura say anything on O’Reilly about return to radio waves? I didn’t watch O’R as there was paint drying somewhere.
Laura said something about a “new deal” in the works but said she could not give details yet. She did say that she will probably be back on the airwaves in a few days.
