Hey everyone, since last week was a little strange for everyone considering the departure of Ingraham from her radio syndicator, and my guest hosting that morning slot, I wanted to give you an update on this week’s plans, and to address a rumor that has been spreading a bit on social media that I am permanently taking over that slot.
While I’ve filled in for Ingraham and have enjoyed guest hosting, I am not, nor do I have an interest in, hosting that program on a permanent basis. Most of you know I left terrestrial radio (the same syndicator that distributed Laura as a matter of fact) three and a half years ago. I did so because I noticed a certain kind of pressure on that industry by Obama gestapos and other liberals who have an interest in squashing the free expression of ideas. At the time it was becoming clear that New Media was ready to handle national independent programming, and with the support and encouragement of my listeners, I took the plunge becoming the first nationally syndicated host to leave for an exclusively New Media environment. Thanks to your support, I’ve never looked back and have no regrets.
Offering a new media program that is 100% listener supported was a risk, but it’s succeeding beyond my wildest expectations, not just when it comes to the number of subscribers, but also with the special fellowship we’ve developed and only possible because of the nature of social and new media. Part of making sure Tammy Radio continues to grow involves a commitment to promotion and spreading the word, and this is where guest hosting and filling in on terrestrial comes in. I think it’s a great opportunity to have more people hear the Independent Conservative take on politics and culture. I’m pleased to say many of the TAMs (Tammy Army Members) first heard me on Laura’s program and then became subscribers. And during my time guest hosting last week, the TAM ranks have grown.
I’ve received many emails and tweets from peeps asking if my guest hosting that terrestrial morning slot is an indication I am taking over that slot on a permanent basis. I trust I’ve answered that completely, and for all the reasons I note above. It’s a terrific opportunity to be heard in that format and I continue to appreciate having the occasional opportunity to take over those airwaves.
That said, I have been asked to guest host over there for a few more days, Monday through Wednesday, while TRN finalizes its plans for that timeslot. But before I agreed I asked for something specific considering I did want to leave TAMs without the regular 2 hour podcast programming for several more days. So here’s the deal:
I will guest host the national live morning slot on terrestrial radio (9am-12pm ET) Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, then the show, without commercials, will be uploaded as the 2 hour fresh daily podcast for Tammy subscribers during those days (3 hours of commercial talk radio end up being about 2 hours without the commercials). This means this special Tammy show will be delivered just like the regular Tammy Show, on the blog and through iTunes. As we did last week, I will also do *one hour* live of the regular Tammy Radio Show (1-3pm) with the second hour an encore, likely one of the morning hours. So, during these days TAMs will have the morning program podcast, an *additional* one hour podcast to look for, and we will also have the “Daily TAM Briefing” podcast in the evenings as usual for subscribers. TAM Chat will be open for both the special morning show and the regular Tammy Show one-hour program at 1pm ET.
I hope all this makes sense! I wouldn’t have said yes to 3 more days guest hosting if I couldn’t provide the program to TAMs, and TRN graciously agreed.
As you can tell, if you’ve been thinking of subscribing, now is the time to do so! In addition to making Tammy Radio possible, the on-demand programming makes life a little easier 🙂
I have no idea what plans TRN has for that slot, but no matter what they do, I look forward to guest hosting every now and then for their hosts, and perhaps in other venues. I can’t thank you all enough for your support. We have lots of work to do and I think the more we can spread the word, the better. I knew going “commando” on New Media would be a fun adventure, but I had no idea how terrific it would be. Thanks for making it all possible 🙂

Tammy you have had your act together since I caught your show one night on Kabc in Los Angeles. Ever since then, I have know that you were a person who had great fore thought and knew exactly where you were going. This is why I am a TAM and will remain a TAM until such time that the end comes. I know a winner when I see and hear one and I knew from that day I was listening to a winner. Tammy, as of now you can do no wrong in my eyes in whatever you do right now, and will look foreword to listening to geat informative radio and helping all my TAM team mates continue to spead the word and to fight like hell to help save our geat nation in what ever way possible.

Tammy, first heard you in 2004 while channel surfing while driving back home on the 5 after playing Torrey Pines. Since then my travels have taken me to Florida, Nebraska, Alabama, back home to Georgia, back to the OC and now Las Vegas. Thanks to TSL I was able to listen during all that time. And since you went commando, listening to your podcasts really fit into my schedule I am so happy that your terestrial sojourns have increased your listenership and I am glad you are able to reach a much larger audience. Your insight, forthrightedness, and honesty are so refreshing. The other guys say the same thing everyday, nothing new. And I especially appreciate your insight into the left. You really opened my eyes. Keep up the good work and ….. GO GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i just thank goodness that tammy’s around at this moment in our history & all you TAMS. i mean MAYBE if tammy had 3 million followers like any of the big liberals have, the last election would have been different, so i just hope more & more people get wise to her valuable message.

Loving it. I would happily spend the entire day listening to Tammy, if she is up to talking that long! I do understand however, that schedule can take it’s toll. We are with you Tammy, and also respect your right to have a life without us. We are not going anywhere, so do what is best for yourself, and if that happens to give us “extra” Tammy speak, well, we’ll just have to accept it!
Once you experience the liberation of what freedom brings, you never willing go back to bondage.
The risk you took over 3 years ago to go commando has hopefully been justified and satisfying. I know we TAMs are the better for it.
PS~I love when you fill in for “the morning show”. New listeners hear a very different sound from your perspective of the conservative message. And, as you said, it’s an opportunity to add to the ranks of the Tammy Army. Love it.

I first heard Tammy on terrestrial radio: My husband was waiting in the car, with the radio on, while I was grocery shopping, on a weekend. When I got back to the car, he said, “You’ve got to hear this lady! She’s great!”
i think THE MOST important places for tammy to be heard are on liberal college campuses & schools. if the younger generation is going to be saved, TAMMY can do it the best because the kids will see how minorities can be and ARE conservatives..
Perhaps that could become part of your standing contract with terrestrial radio. Every time you are a guest host they delete the commercials & upload it to your site for the TAM’s. Great Idea. as far as TAM’s, the more the merrier.

Thanks so much for looking out for us TAMS and asking TRN to provide podcasting of your morning fill-in shows. I’m not able to listen to live radio shows on a regular basis, so podcasting is my life line for my news and information. So I, for one, truly, truly appreciate your efforts in making that happen!
Since I’m also a Laura subscriber (* felt it was important to support conservative “girl power” whenever I can *) I never worried whenever you’ve filled in for Laura in the past. I knew I could always get my full-on “Tammy-fix” via Laura’s show podcast. Needless to say, with all that happened last week, I was a very sad girl 🙁
In addition to the regular DTBs, I very much appreciated that special “Tammy hour” post-TRN morning show. I must say, the Tammy withdrawals last week were difficult, but that *special hour* certainly kept my twitching to a minimum 🙂
Speaking of this week’s TRN shows AND the *special hour* AND the DTB….do you see where I’m going with this “AND” business? PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF! Get plenty of sleep, take extra vitamin C (always on a full stomach, btw) and don’t go getting yourself sick over this crazy schedule. We need you!
Disclaimer: Still suffering from withdrawal symptoms from last week (i.e. – the twitch). It’s s-l-o-w-l-y getting better; however, it’s still not 100%. This is great. I love keeping the exclusivity and close-knit environment of the independent show but also love being able to turn on the radio every now and then and hear you broadcast to those who’ve not yet had the pleasure… This is probably the best way to recruit TAMs.
I am impressed with your stamina and hope it holds strong this week! Let us know if we need to help you over the finish line.
Am listening to Tammy on the EXTRAterrestrial and am saddened to hear that Ann Romney is taking the election robbery so hard. Ann, should this find its way to you: This may have been the best outcome for Mitt, you and your family. Just think if someone had assassinated Mitt had he won! Or wounded him. We know there were so many threats made against him from the left.
What if some leftist nutjob had come after family members?
We all know that Mitt would have done a great job. I’m with Tammy on this one: I wasn’t wild about Mitt in the beginning. But then we all got to know him and SEE him. We SAW the real MItt. And as Tammy pointed out: That earned respect and love runs deep.
