Hmmm, one of those oh-dark-thirty wake-up calls.
damn. don’t have time to catch a flight to the eastern time zone…
i’ll be honest, this is why DVRs were invented.
so tomorrow is a little breakfast with tammy!
rick
I know it will be posted on the blog so I will wait until then.
It was either giving up the TV or my sanity. I chose me! Anything I just have to watch, which isn’t much these days, I can get on Hulu or Netflix for a fraction of the cable. I’ll have to wait until it’s posted. You’ll be great, just don’t go Commando. Don’t think Steve could take it.
I set the TV to record it. Will catch it this afternoon.
You totally flummoxed Jehma Green. You left her NO issue to argue so she flipped to equal pay? that is so Schlafly era. You were sensational Tammy. Points well made and taken. You looked fabulous. But, ditch the shoulder pads, ok?
lol…i didn’t notice that…but my suspicion is that on the tammy cammy those won’t be there π
“tammy cammy”…..good one!
one thing i HATE about fox…never enough time to really get into things in depth….great job tammy…she couldn’t debate you
I missed a lot of it sorry…but does the equal pay extend to illegals too?
Obama wants to do so many “good” things for this Nation it is hard to keep up..
Must go reserch this one now as well….hmmmm!
The beginning is priceless: listen to Tammy but watch Jehma’s face, when you have the chance, Cru (and everyone). Watch the replay which I hope Tammy puts on her web site – Jehma so didn’t expect Tammy’s remarks! This is going to be one interesting and fun runup to November, with the left clueless as to who their “opponents” are. We aren’t the nasty, pigheaded, fat old white men they know how to handle. Women are stepping up and today’s on Fox, Tammy took the lead.
From the part I saw…Tammy was way to “commonsensical” for the other woman…”Jehma”…to understand. Tammy seriously…start using bigger words and longer sentences next time. Jehma was clearly flummoxed when you asked…”How can there be equal pay if there are no jobs?”
See that question was just way to straight forward for her to understand. Then the follow up of “there’s no money”..kind of sent her for a loop. I realize you were strapped on time.. π
Yes, I was hoping for more time too because I was thinking Tammy could say in her Obama voice ‘ Were out of money now ‘ π Jehma was definitely clueless !
Great job and you looked wonderful. They really could have given you a few more minutes !
Yeah, great job, as usual Tammy. I wish there had been more time too. You had good arguments, but at the end didn’t have time to drive them home.
Democrats don’t ever change their play book. How can anyone be independent if the government supports them and will dictate their pay, unemployment benefits, and everything else? Women have made amazing advances in pay over the last few years. We don’t need government to “level” the playing field. Their playbook also makes no sense. “We want to empower women and the poor, but they can’t do it without the help of daddy government.” Just replacing one slave master for another.
Tammy made this point brillantly, but as always common sense throws liberals into a mental tailspin.
Definition of Empower: make (someone) stronger and more confident, esp. in controlling their life and claiming their rights.
Dang it, I wish there had been more time in that segment. That was priceless, I love how Jehma was totally unprepared for your comments. It seems she must have been expected the typical conservative defense. I am so impressed that you were that alert at 5 am. : )
Obviously Jehm-m-m-ma has never listened to your show.
She was totally unprepared for your remarks.
Just in that short amount of time, Tammy brought up many excellent points that were way off Jehma’s radar. It was interesting that Tammy was talking about the culture of dependency/lack of freedom while Jehma was talking about inequality in pay. I too wish more time was given to the discussion. Well done Tammy! π
I agree with Sharky666 about Fox never providing adequate time to deal with a topic. I prefer my Tammy in the larger doses.
But the concept that all women make less than men in similar jobs is just as obsolete as Phyllis S.
It is a gross generalization to say women make less and it would not stand up on closer analyis. Sure there maybe a dinosour organization out there, but in the Fortune 500 world there has been such a frenzy to “catch women up” that women make as much or more than men in similar jobs. When I started in business in the mid 70s we started hiring almost exclusively women. Those women have matured and thrived and are now stepping into the leadership postions across the entire spectrum of corporate live.
Jemu must be talking about union jobs, we know what gender leads unions.

These are not tokens, these are women that can hold their own and surpass most men. Lets put the past behind us.
Very well said, bigbud. The “equal job equal pay” argument is as old as the one Ms. Schlaffly brought up.
the two groups most under represented in unions are women and minorities which makes urkel and the left’s never ending obsessive love affair with unions so telling and so hypocritical.
I have yet to watch or listen to Jehmu Green without concluding she is a complete left-wing Kool-Aid drinking, talking point spewing zombie. I have yet to watch or listen to Tammy Bruce without yelling “you tell it, Sister!” π Very good points Tammy and Jehmu was completely surprised by your not defending Schlafly; I was not. You were getting ready to drive home some points and scold Jehmu for hijacking the topic when Gretchen called “time” π Nice to see you looking so rested at 5:20 a.m. I am groping blindly for the coffee at that time of day.
I don’t get this at all. Her point about Obama is dead on. Where’s the controversy? Well, I guess it could be if you hold Schlafly literally, but I think it’s pretty safe to assume she’s not refering to all single women. As I listened to her comment, which I just now heard for the first time, the person that came to my mind was the famous clip of that woman saying about Obama (and I’m paraphrasing)- now I won’t have to worry about my rent! or putting gas in my car!- Remember that?
And I don’t think there is anything wrong with adhering to the belief in an intact family as the ideal. It is Divine Establishment. Think about who benefits from the destruction of the family unit. Only those who seek to use it for their own ill-gotten gain. Our nation will not survive the destruction of the family.
And I certainly don’t see that being a wife means being “dependent on her husband’s paycheck.” You may think I’m old-fashioned like Schlafly, but I grew up in a family that was a team. And I’m know there are still families out there like that.
Conservatism means being independent and self-reliant, but in relation to the gov’t, not our faith, family, and friends.
Very well said Tinker. I couldn’t agree more. As human beings we are all interdependent on our faith, family and friends. That’s why the big gov’t loving liberal left fights so hard to destroy our faith in God, our family unit and any other support system we have. They want us to have nothing left but government to rely upon. We will have lost everything, and government will have all the power.
I have to agree with Tinker & Sandyl.
Basically, Schlafly went the wrong way around the barn to make a point about single moms and the welfare system.
A subject that Star Parker knows all too well about.
Why is this always about equal pay? Can they prove there is this rampant discrimination? Women, as Tammy points out, have a choice. They can emphasize work, in which case they end up making as much if not more than men, or they can emphasize family or a balance of work and family (biased towards family) in which case they may make less money because of less flexible hours, etc. Can they prove that is not the case? My experience tells me it is.
Sorry that I missed this – then again I was on my way to work this morning.
I’m sorry I disagree about the point of women being paid 25% less than men. I just don’t see it. Then again, I’m not aware what other men are making for my same position (at least the company I work for).
I think I make pretty good money and I’m happy with what I make. I never want to compete against men – I think they have their lot in life and we women have ours.
Call me old fashion, but I’m not into this feminism stuff for I believe in a sense it has destroyed some part of the family. I guess that’s my religious inner being speaking.
But (that’s a big But) – women are capable of doing the same work as men – of course that depends on the type of work.
As for the 70% of single women who voted for Urkel because they can get more hand outs – I don’t think they all voted with that intent; it was probably more of an emotional vote if anything – you know how we women can be fickle at times. π
Well done Tammy. You look sensational.
Love that you are there busting the stereotypes of conservative women and offering the strong and appealing alternative to the liberal feminist victim industry!
Thank you for posting the segment clip. FOX NEWS would do well to have you on again and again. Your smart, articulate, diplomatic, pretty, and know how to get your point across effectively. Yes, I admire your delivery. America needs your voice!
“…when you kick your husband out..”
phyllis, what fing planet are you living on? as if it’s only the woman’s fault when she doesn’t have a man to obey because she got uppity with the feminisms and/or satan( or- heaven for fend the self esteem) and kicked him out. because men never abandon their responsibilities and just take off. men never abuse their wives or their children or toss them out. men never get someone pregnant, promise to marry them then head for the hills.
she is right about fostering dependence on government-but from nearly every segment of society not just women without the mens. it doesn’t help, however, when the likes of schafley are dragged out of the mothballs to scare more independents and straying democrats away from secular political conservatism- and that’s the only reason any one would bring her up. scare everyone away from giving the democrats their comeuppance! if we don’t stay in power, you’ll be marched to the dogs sleeping with cats camps! watch- they’ll start bellowing about abortion again and about giving urkel bj’s to keep it legal.
they’re desperate and insane. as tammy shows here, you can’t be baited into fanning the flames for them- that’s what they expect you to do. when you don’t they’re like this woman- gob smacked and uttering ‘equal pay’ over and over like a tape loop. pwned.
traditional married heterosexuals have done plenty of damage to marriage on their own without any help from the gheys or from feminists. that’s the same projectionist blame game as the liberals adore wallowing in. my father is a perfect example from a generation of loser narcissistic men who abandoned their children and marriages in massive numbers , creating one parent families, the poorest of the poor. because he was “traditional” ( a roman catholic.) (and also a wife beater and a child abuser), he wouldn’t let my mother work outside the home . as a result when he fled we were left in poverty( and my mother refused to take government aid.). feminists had nothing whatsoever to do with the havoc he created and the lives he near destroyed. i refuse as a feminist and ghey to be blamed for screwed up heterosexuals like my father and their inability to grow up and be responsible to their families and to their chosen gods. it’s always about personal responsibility not outsider boogeymen both sides like to toss like bombs at each other.
women have traditionally voted largely democrat just like blacks . they sometimes toss just enough to the republican for him to win when national security looms large in an election. women and everyone else were also lied to about obama . they have been lied to about republicans and conservatives for generations. nothing will be equal- not rights nor pay nor justice under the law- when the rule of law and the constitution are destroyed- and that’s what is most important . that’s the prize to keep in mind- saving our constitution and rule of law .
Great job Tammy. Sometime it would be fun to see “unruly peasant” Tammy on Fox, but you have to pick your spots, and that wasn’t it.
Great job, Tammy. You have terrific facial expressions. Classy.
I don’t know too many people who can look that good at 5:00am.
You mopped the floor with Miss Green (without even trying).
Good job Tammy!
Tammy, your intelligent, articulate common sense was completely missed by the other guest. She couldn’t respond to your point, so she spouted the decades-old talking point. You go, girl – proud to be a TAM and great to see you looking so bright-eyed and bushy-tailed at 5 AM.
Tammy,
Your segment with Stephen Kruiser at the Right Online 2010 conference has been posted at PJTV: Right Online 2010: Conservative Brand Storm on the Horizon with Tammy Bruce
Great interview.
