If you listen to Tammy Radio you’re not completely surprised by this. I’ve been saying ever since it passed that this is *exactly* what they would do. After all, this is a group that also just ripped the guts out of the Insider Trading legislation that was supposed to stop them from engaging in what is a criminal practice for every other American.

If you’ve had any doubt that our government now was simply one big corrupt gang, take a gander at this, as they worry about the financial hit they would all take if they were subject to ObamaCare. Of course, they don’t give a damn about the financial hit we’re taking:

Lawmakers, aides may get Obamacare exemption

Congressional leaders in both parties are engaged in high-level, confidential talks about exempting lawmakers and Capitol Hill aides from the insurance exchanges they are mandated to join as part of President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul, sources in both parties said.

The talks — which involve Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), the Obama administration and other top lawmakers — are extraordinarily sensitive, with both sides acutely aware of the potential for political fallout from giving carve-outs from the hugely controversial law to 535 lawmakers and thousands of their aides. Discussions have stretched out for months, sources said.

A source close to the talks says: “Everyone has to hold hands on this and jump, or nothing is going to get done.”
Yet if Capitol Hill leaders move forward with the plan, they risk being dubbed hypocrites by their political rivals and the American public. By removing themselves from a key Obamacare component, lawmakers and aides would be held to a different standard than the people who put them in office.

There is concern in some quarters that the provision requiring lawmakers and staffers to join the exchanges, if it isn’t revised, could lead to a “brain drain” on Capitol Hill, as several sources close to the talks put it…

The problem stems from whether members and aides set to enter the exchanges would have their health insurance premiums subsidized by their employer — in this case, the federal government. If not, aides and lawmakers in both parties fear that staffers — especially low-paid junior aides — could be hit with thousands of dollars in new health care costs, prompting them to seek jobs elsewhere. Older, more senior staffers could also retire or jump to the private sector rather than face a big financial penalty.

Can’t wait to see what all of you think about this lovely turn of events.

Crap sandwiches galore for thee, but not for me (us). The whole lot of the Washington hole sewer (3 branches of government), need to be flushed down the drain to the middle of the Atlantic ocean. This whole system doesn’t need a reboot, it needs to be completely reformatted and reloaded with the original software of 200 years ago.

This is exactly the kind of arrogant attitude that lead to the Bastille results of France 1791. Things will get very nasty for these fools when their own Leftist fans revolt, after all, upset Leftists commit 100% of all assassinations; just saying.

If the American citizen puts up with this BS then the republic is truly lost.

We should file a class-action lawsuit: The Citizens vs the entire administration, congress & supreme (barf!) “court”.

How in the world can this be constitutional? Those who pass the laws are not required to live by the laws they pass?

OK, now can we ALL get an exemption from OBummerCare? What a disaster. No surprises here. Washington is a snake pit.

There’s already been too much of a brain drain from Congress. We’re drowning in the putrid drainage from their brains.

My bet is that this is the reason why Boehner hasn’t said anything about the proposed gun registration/takeaway law or the amnesty bill. They want some big bill to pass, so they can then pass this ‘minor’ fix to Obamacare. They probably have already gotten agreement from the MSM that as long as Congress passes gun confiscation or amnesty then MSM will give them cover.

The clowns in Congress spent the day running to the microphones saying no, no, I’m not in favor of that! And “leadership” was denying the negotiations. What a pack of liars. Boehner is as bad as Harry Reed and Nancy Pelosi, they all need to be voted OUT.

And what is Congress’ rating? I guess it will be -100 if they enact this travesty!
