oprah

There was a time when I liked Oprah.

That is, until five years ago, when she supported a certain **expletive deleted** now occupying the WH.

It is said that she brought the **expletive deleted** up to a million votes.

Thanks for nothing, Oprah.

Anyway, for those still in love with Ms. Winfrey, just hop over to Santa Barbara, and you too can own a piece of Oprah stuff.

Via NY Daily News: Online catalog for Oprah Winfrey’s upcoming yard sale released

Forget the homemade signs and balloons, billionaire Oprah Winfrey has a sleek  online catalog to promote her highly anticipated yard sale next month.

Fans hoping to score a piece of the media mogul’s legacy can now view “The  Oprah Winfrey Collection” at KaminskiAuctions.com and search through  hundreds of items going up for bid Nov. 2 at the Santa Barbara polo grounds….

Winfrey hinted at the sale in the March issue of her eponymous magazine when  she announced she planned to remodel her Montecito mansion to reflect her “true”  style.

“The gilded mirrors, marble urns, the lavish carpets and sherbet palette — it  was all very grand, but it wasn’t very true to myself,” she wrote.

Although, I am really puzzled: I know Oprah has given away lots of things: cars, trips to Australia, etc.

So, I read this article with some curiosity, wondering which charity would benefit from the yard sale.

So far, nada…

Which, I think, is odd, for one of the richest women in the world.

But maybe I shouldn’t be so harsh with Ms. Winfrey.

After all, she is refusing to help with the Obamacare website glitches kinks snafus FUBAR.

Via New York Post: Even Oprah isn’t on board with ObamaCare

As the White House was gearing up to sell ObamaCare to the American people last summer, Valerie Jarrett, the president’s pointwoman on a host of issues, phoned Oprah Winfrey.

She invited the Queen of All Media to join celebrities, including Amy Poehler, Jennifer Hudson and Alicia Keys, to meet with President Obama and discuss how they could generate publicity for his health-care law.

Oprah refused.

“All of Oprah’s top people thought she would go, because when the president invites you to the White House, most people automatically say yes,” said one of Oprah’s closest advisers. “But Oprah said she didn’t have the time or inclination to go. It wasn’t like she had to think it over. It was an immediate, flat-out, unequivocal no.”

Addendum: I’ve been informed that proceeds of the yard sale will go to charity. I stand corrected. However, I still do not forgive Oprah for supporting the **expletive deleted**

Ok, I’m confused. Is it a yard sale, or an auction? I’m from SE VA, and when we have a yard sale, we usually do it in our own drive way in front of the house. I guess billionaires do it a bit differently. Umm, I see there is cover charge (VIP package) for the special bidding at the yard sale on the Polo grounds. Also, you need to pre-register to get in free cuz they can’t have just anybody walking up in there handling Oprah’s wears. I’m guessing there will be no bartering going on though. Well, unless you’ve got several thousand dollars to throw around, sounds like a snoozer to me. Did you see the vomit-green couch? Wow, I may not know “grand”, but I know what I like.

On a side note, good for Oprah for giving OBummer the finger on OBummerCare. She’s probably one of a precious few Americans who can tell him NO without fear of reprimand. What’s he gonna do, stomp his foot? Although she’s been a major disappointment after stepping into the political arena, she’s a self-made successful woman. OBummer on the other hand, continues to be made by other women.
    Is that wrong?

Looks like a weird bunch of stuff. Doesn’t she ever get tired of smearing herself all over the media?
