I hope you have a beautiful day. I know things have been difficult for us these past several years, but there is so much to be grateful for, not the least of which is being Americans and living in the greatest country on Earth. Now our work continues to make sure America gets back on her feet to help make the world a better, more safe place for everyone.

The future is the blessing of a new opportunity to accomplish all that is good 🙂

And yes, please consider this an Open Thread through the weekend!

This isn’t an appropriate Christmas link. Please forgive me, but it caught my eye. An American Spectator article on “Saint Lenny”. I wouldn’t draw too close a parallel between Phil Robertson and Lenny Bruce (ha ha, no relation to our Tammy!), but it’s something to think about. It wasn’t that long ago that liberals defended free speech. Lenny Bruce pulled out the stops, and he got squashed. But maybe he got the last laugh, although he didn’t live to see it. Then again, maybe not, considering the crowd that once defended him are the new totalitarians, the new bullies, the new McCarthyites. It’s funny how times change. Or maybe not funny.

    Merry Christmas, TAMs and infidels!

Hoping everyone had a blessed and happy Christmas Day. My Christmas is going to be a long one. My doctor son had to work today and tomorrow, so he and his wife will be here Friday and we will do our Christmas then. I will not resurface until next week. See you all in 2014, the year we truly take back our country.

It was a lovely, sunny day in the Phoenix area. My son was at work as I prepared Christmas Day dinner. While listening to KFYI’s presentation of Mannheim Steamroller’s “An American Christmas” with Chip Davis, I was thinking that soon Christmas celebrations will disappear if our great country doesn’t reverse course. Hope everyone is having wonderful Holiday season despite the “bumps in the road”. Just as General Washington and his troops marched on, so must TAMs led by General Tammy! May God bless us! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We had a great Christmas – my mom & a great couple we know. As my mom is 90 (soon to be 91), we are never assured of another day, let alone another Christmas with her, so are blessed to have her. She played Christmas carols for us even tho she is having trouble seeing (macular degeneration). We don’t always see eye-to-eye, but she is a beautiful soul – she and my father spent decades as ministers of the Gospel and made many sacrifices for the family. I love her dearly.

    Kudos to Kellie Pickler!

The singer spent Christmas in Afghanistan entertaining our troops. Slightly lengthly WaPo article, but enjoyable to read.

“…Pickler was here to thank them, to shake their hands, to assure them that Americans hadn’t forgotten about their sacrifices…For one day, she was Dinah Shore in Normandy, Marilyn Monroe in Korea, Raquel Welch in Vietnam. A blond spark that lit the desert….She fired a howitzer, a deep boom that alarmed an Afghan general meeting with his U.S. counterpart on an adjacent base. “What was that?” Gen. Ghulam Murtaza asked in Dari. “I think that was Kellie,” Col. D.A. Sims said through an interpreter….By Christmas, almost everyone here had heard of Kellie Pickler….“I saw on the Wikipedia that she sings country. I like country,” said Lt. Cmdr. Cristian Hanu of Romania….”
