So little, so late. Obviously the entire administration, including both Houses of Congress are responsible for this in one form or another. Ranging from direct involvement (Executive Branch and State Dept), to Congress which has refused to hold Obama or anyone in his regime to account for anything. The impotence of Boehner and McConnell is mind boggling. If Congress had made it clear, through action, from the beginning of Obama’s term, I’m guessing they may have been a little less cavalier and reckless when it came to not just Benghazi, but every operation that has cost people their lives and this nation her economic and physical security.

The supposed big scoop from the report? That the attack could have been prevented. You don’t say! They then essentially argue that it was a bunch of miscommunication. Even if you believe that, this requires a Special Investigator.

This “report” of course is window dressing which is supposed to “settle” the fight between the GOP and Democrats. Also note that there is blame for the “US government.” What a cute way to protect everyone– under the “government” umbrella. Forget about getting to the truth. It also seems it’s everyone’s fault except Obama’s. Including the now-dead Ambassador Stevens.

So, at first they use the New York Times to see if their declaring the debunked “video clip” at fault, will put the matter to rest. It didn’t. I’m sure at this point, the political class who arranged this “bipartisan” report expect us to go back and hang our head and declare it over, the murders of four American heroes solved, and we’ll crawl away to never mention it again. Boy, do they have another thing coming.

First, here’s Fox News’ coverage with more details. KT McFarland thinks this report is a “bombshell.” I think it’s preparation to sweep the crime further under the rug. I’m curious to see your take. In the end, what happens will be up to us, whether we turn our heads, or demand a Special Investigator. Below this is the NY Post story.

Via New York Post.

The Senate Intelligence Committee released a report on the deadly assault on the diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, Wednesday, laying blame on the State Department, the intelligence community — even the late Ambassador Chris Stevens — for failing to communicate and heed warnings of terrorist activity in the area.

The highly critical report also says the U.S. military was not positioned to aid the Americans in need, though the head of Africa Command had offered military security teams that Stevens — who was killed in the attack — had rejected weeks before the attack.

It also said that in the aftermath of the attacks, U.S. analysts confused policymakers by blaming the violence on protests without enough supporting intelligence.

There was no immediate comment from the State Department.

The 2012 Benghazi attacks have dogged the Obama administration, because then-U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice initially blamed the violence on mob protests over an anti-Islamic film. Al-Qaida-linked militant groups were later blamed for the attacks, first when militants overran the temporary U.S. mission on Sept. 11, 2012, and later that same night, when militants fired mortars at the nearby CIA annex where the Americans had taken shelter.

The bipartisan report may settle what has become a running political battle between Republicans, mostly in the House, who say the Obama administration has been covering up what they consider misdeed before, during and after the attack, and the administration, which says Republicans are on a political witch hunt.

Committee chairman Dianne Feinstein, a California Democrat, says she hopes this will put to rest conspiracy theories about the militant attacks that night. Republican vice chairman Saxby Chambliss of Georgia said the report shows despite a deteriorating security situation in Benghazi, the U.S. government did not do enough to prevent the attacks or to protect the diplomatic facility.

Lying Liars. I am so angry with the Republican Party for protecting Obama and wanting nothing to do with the truth.

If we can succeed in kicking the bums out in November,it’ll be the best way to convince them and others in the future that we will never forget this travesty nor will we forgive it.

Wow, it was “The Government’s” fault. Finally, we have The Answer.

And now we can move on to the *important* news of the day:

via Yahoo: The 49ers coach, Jim Harbaugh, wears cheap pants. And, his wife is not a fan of the $8 Walmart khakis he wears every day!

Where’s the line of “Government” leaders waiting to hand in their resignation for the shame and disgust they feel for allowing this to happen? There is none. There’s no honor.

    Anyone seen that “Broom”?
Last I heard Boehner had it with him in a backroom at the Capitol during one of his many ‘Cig’ breaks.

Now, a few months ago, there was a bunch of noise coming from that Room.

And, many heard the sound of boisterous people and sometimes there was hootin’ and a hollerin’ from a few. It could be that something was getting cleaned.

But, then again, no trash was ever seen leavin’ that room.

Well, there was that one time. The rumor is that someone saw Hillary leaving that backroom late one night. But, it was well after 2am. And, we all know she’s asleep at that stressful hour.

Again, we know that there was no Grand Party or anything like that going on.

And, no one has ever reported that anyone from that room was carrying on so that the average person – say someone from NBC, ABC, CNN – would ever mistake whatever it was that was going on as ever being lively or important.

No. No, ain’t seen that “Broom”. …But, it’ll turn up soon.

Well, maybe, someone could ask Boehner if he’s using it.

I predict that Bonehead (Boehner) and the rest of the republican dwarfs will do exactly what they have done from the beginning of Obumbutts’ presidency…Absolutely Nothing! They’ll bury their heads in the sand and hope that no one notices them, or the fact that they are totally useless, so they won’t be called a racist, or worst. Why do we even have a republican party when there ARE NO CONSERVATIVES in office?!?!?! We’d be better off having the Green Party or some equally moronic group of politicians serving we, the people. At least, I’m almost certain, that they would stick their heads up out the sand to see what’s going on, at least once in awhile. I am sick and tired of having NO ONE, with the exception of a very small few, in Washington representing me. And the few that do try to stand up for us are bashed to smithereens by everyone including their own party. Will the nightmare never end?

Weeks before, it must have been obvious that the jaws were closing. The team might have been left to twist in the wind so as not to disrupt the re-election narrative by an abrupt withdrawal. Obama didn’t seem surprised by the assault, went to Vegas the next day as planned. The post attack flimflam was almost certainly to protect the narrative and may have been legally buttoned up and choreographed in advance. Shine a light on it and there’s nobody home but “government”. Wasn’t Hillary on the other side of the planet? In Australia or somewhere?

This is just the shadowlands we all need another country.

“Shadowlands”- great movie with Anthony Hopkins and Debra Winger on C.S.Lewis’s awakening Christianity, something Congress’s actions that are lacking.
